Where Did Moses Write of Jesus in Genesis?

  • Today we are asking in what ways does the book of Genesis speak of Jesus, the son of God? An honest reader of Moses will see that while Moses was faithful to carry out his leadership of the people of Israel in his own day, he was also very clearly directing the people of Israel to look for and hope in God, that God would send another prophet, who would declare words of life to the people, which would bring blessing to them if obeyed. But if rejected, they would be judged. This meaning in the writings of Moses is so clear, that Jesus can say that Moses will rise up in judgment upon the people for not believing in Jesus for life.

My struggles have brought me closer to God. I will continue to be a proverbs 31 women, I will only pursue the wisdom of God instead of the wisdom of this world. I still love and trust Jesus even though I have fallen on hard times. I WILL KEEP FAITH! Since covid I can’t seem to get back on my feet. Like so many others. I’m struggling financially, desperately trying to support my two autistic children and myself. My husband passed away years ago. I’m alone and overwhelmed. I lost my job as a social worker at Forsyth hospital over declining the vaccine, I declined due to my pre existing health conditions lupus and heart disease. I’ve been struggling to provide ever since. I’m now waitressing, and I’m so thankful to be working but I’m not making nearly enough to get by. Groceries and gas prices are going up every day. Every month is a struggle not to end up homeless on the streets with my two boys. But I keep faith in God, no matter what. I know he will provide. He has this far. He is the God of Possible. Please keep me and my children in your prayers. No PITY just prayers. God bless.

Riana, you mentioned, "I get..." "I don't know..." "I am in danger...." "I've tried..." - Friend let me point you away from the "I" and to the Christ. Which is actually what Chad does in this very sermon by which you've made this post--he shows that the one hope for us is from the Lord Jesus Christ, who even Moses wrote of. Where will you get help for your spiritual illnesses? Who can be a Great Physician to deliver you from satanic thoughts? Christ is able to help you, you want to be looking to Him and setting your gaze on Him. He who extends his hand to touch the leper, will no doubt extend his hand to give peace to a struggling child of His. How do we approach Him? Where do we find Him? We go by faith, and believing his promises. Rather than focus upon our circumstances we set our gaze upon the promises in His Word. So much could be written right now...but one thing I dare not neglect to admonish you on is to call one of your pastors and be honest to them. They are their to shepherd your soul and know far more about you, and your situation then any person can through the Internet. Yet even they will point you to Christ too, for in Him alone is true peace in the midst of the darkest of trials.

Jehovah God's word consists of 66 books written by 40 Holy Spirit-inspired authors, over q period of about 1500 years, and there was a 400 year silent period between the OT & the NT, but it does tie together perfectly, throughout.

@@illbehonest it’s the like the mic is turning on and off, it’s cutting out the beginning of a word, for example: instead of “Jesus” the mic will cut out “j” and all we will hear is “esus”
hope that makes sense. It is slightly distracting I agree with @HOMEMADE010101

I feel this is a forced interpretation--I have to disagree that Moses had to be completely clear (after all, clarity is a subjective matter) otherwise it would not be fair to condemn those Pharisees. 2 Cor 3:6-16 is a pretty good description of the Pharisees I think. It was Moses' whole ministry, the sacrifices, the tabernacle, the priesthood etc. all which served as types of Christ, rather than just some certain passages he wrote. The Jews however observed the outward ordinances just for their own sake and hence missed the spiritual message all of it had meant to convey. That is why the apostle says whenever Moses is read, a veil hangs on their heart.

I think you are misunderstanding Deuteronomy 18. God is telling them not to consult astrologers and diviners because He will raise up a prophet who speaks His words instead. Additionally, this verse in Deuteronomy worries me when it comes to believing in Jesus because Jesus is not explicitly named in Torah.
    Deuteronomy 13
13 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,
    2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;
3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the Lord your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
And this chapter in Ezekiel makes no sense either because God doesn't require a blood sacrifice to forgive:
    Ezekiel 33:14-16
14 And if I say to a wicked person, ‘You will surely die,’ but they then turn away from their sin and do what is just and right- 15 if they give back what they took in pledge for a loan, return what they have stolen, follow the decrees that give life, and do no evil-that person will surely live; they will not die. 16 None of the sins that person has committed will be remembered against them. They have done what is just and right; they will surely live.

Thanks for the wonderful message! Please note that Yhvh was one of 70 Elohim (Annunaki rulers) ruling over nations, there was nothing special about him. Its important to note that Yhvh/Enlil from the Old Testament is not God Most High, and is not the Father of Jesus. Yhvh was simply given permission by ELYon(Deut 32:8), commander of the Elohim, to rule over Jacob's offspring/Israel (Deut 32:9, Joel 3:2). Yhvh then deceived the nations into thinking that he himself is the Most High, the great "I Am" (Exodus 3:14). Which is obviously not true. During his rule Yhvh has been extremely violent oppose to Jesus that was gentle and mercyfull during his ministry. Jesus will take over and rule all nations(Rev 12:5).
Yhvh/Enlil is in fact a draconian (Exo 15:8, Deut 32:22, 2 Sam 22:9,16, Psalm 18:8-15, Numbers 11:01, John 8:44, Rev 12:9, etc.) and is the source of darkness and evil: Isa 45:7.
Jesus came to rectify the works of Satan Yhvh, He therefore repeatedly said to His followers: Moses said this ... But I say that ... Thus Jesus clearly distanced himself from Yhvh again and again - john 14:30.
    Also see youtube video: czcams.com/video/pjiK9912z3U/video.html
    and also see czcams.com/video/jm_-BPFVIgc/video.html
Luk 8:28 says Jesus is the Son of God Most High (Luk 1:32), so Jesus is not the Son of Yhvh, because Yhvh himself is considered to be a son of the Most High (Psa 89:6) but not a begotten Son like Jesus (John 3:18).
Yhvh conspires against man (1 Kings 22:20) and defiles man with unclean spirits (1 Kings 22:23, 1 Sam 19:9) while Jesus cast out unclean spirits (Mat 8:16) and gave his appostels authority to do the same (Mat 10:1, Luk 9:1, Mark 6:7).
The law given to man by Yhvh is a curse, and Jesus came to redeem man from the curse of Yhvh's law (Gal 3:13). For by the works of the law shall no man be justified(Gal 2:16, Acts 13:39). The letter kills, the spirit gives life (2 Corinthians 3:6). The power of sin comes from Yhvh's law. (1 Cor 15, Rom 8:2). After Jesus had fulfilled Yhvh's laws all was accomplished (Matt 5:18), so Jesus's new covenant replaced Yhvh's law, all 613 of them, as a package, and entire old covenant (Heb 8:13) - for all the law is fullfiled in one word - LOVE (Gal 5:14). All things are lawful unto me(Gal 5:18), but I will not be brought under the power of any. (1 Cor 6:12). Jesus's purpose was to free people from the bond of Yhvh, and not to free people from a sinfull nature (Heb 8:13). Yhvh even claimed to be the one and only saviour ... (Isa 43:11), which is obviously not true. Jesus therefore gave his live as ransom (Mat 20:28) to justify many (Isa 53:11), and Yhvh Satan enjoyed chrushing him (Isa 53:10).
Yhvh has been seen FACE-TO-FACE by many, eg. Moses (Exo 33:11, Deut 34:10), Abraham (Gen 18), etc. while in the new testament Jesus said that NO-ONE has ever seen His Father, therefore Yhvh can not be his Father(John 8:38). God is spirit, while Yhvh is a physical draconian.
