- In a culture increasingly interested in therapy over theology, the Bible alone is able to make us wise for salvation. In this Reformation Sunday message, Alistair Begg highlights the Gospel’s power to reveal God’s righteous character and activity. If believers are to boldly proclaim the good news of Jesus to a world that would shame us into silence, we must be convinced of this truth: the Gospel alone is the power of God to save men and women from eternal condemnation.

Last week for some reason Pastor Begg came up on my feed in CZcams - the humorous but beautiful short about the thief on the cross. I had to find and listen to the entire sermon. His necktie helped me find it. Now I listen to him almost daily. Such a blessing to me. I love how he shares the word. This particular message has challenged me of the urgency of sharing Christ and the revelation of the gospel being the power of God. I have shared this message with my sister. Thank you, Pastor Begg.

I can honestly say that God has lifted my constant worry and I am trusting in His providence to make it happen as it did for me. My attempts to share my faith were causing strife between us no matter my intentions. We are getting back to the loving respectful relationship we once shared. He came to my house and shared the weekend with me about a month ago. What a blessing! God is so good to me! Laying my burden on my Saviour whose yoke is light helps tremendously. 🙏🥰🙏

I continue to post because my struggles have brought me closer to God. So I will share my experience of how God gives me strength. I will continue to be a proverbs 31 women, I will only pursue the wisdom of GOD instead of the wisdom of this world. Even though I have fallen on hard times I will still praise JESUS. Since covid I can’t seem to get back on my feet. I’m struggling financially, desperately trying to support my two autistic children and myself. My husband passed away. I’m alone and overwhelmed. I lost my job as a social worker at Forsyth hospital over declining the vaccine, I declined due to my pre existing health conditions lupus and heart disease. I’ve been struggling to provide ever since. Groceries and gas prices are outrageous. I’m now waitressing, but I’m not making nearly enough to get by. Every month is a struggle not to end up on the streets with my two boys. But I keep faith in God, no MATTER WHAT. I know he will provide. He has this far. Amazingly ever month GOD SHOWS UP. He is the God of Possible. I don’t know why my testimony bothers so many but I will continue to share because so many other families are going through the same thing. Please keep me and my children in your prayers. No PITY just prayers. God bless.

This was the deepest sermon I've ever heard, even from Pastor Begg. Jesus is a free gift to all who want to live forever with God and our loved ones. To not let our Faith be the Conduit to the Amighty Power of the Gospel that leads us to "Truly Believe/Love our Lord Jesus" would be the most foolish decision anyone could make.
6/14 Alistair came on my screen accidentally during my prayer time and I was suprised to find his presentation applied to resolve conflicts i was struggling with in my faith. Very very thankful for the resolution in the word of God.

"To this day a veil covers their hearts, because only in Jesus is it taken away..." The key to seeing that the Gospel of Christ being seen as GOOD NEWS is the revelation of Christ himself. When people are introduced to the love of Christ....THEN...THEN folks the Gospel is seen as precious. Not only is right and wrong lost in our society but HEART is often lost in many Churches because they are actually living under the old covenant yet. The Heart of Christ can be reflected by us. Then the Gospel looks precious.

You should search for the sermon in which dr Alistair Begg described his visit to a church where the first words uttered, were: "how do you all feel this morning" This man is beyond precious. A big hug to them all from far away over the ocean.

The Apostle Paul taught us to be bold in our testimony of the gospel. 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
I know the completion of this text does not sit well with reformed theology but it's dishonest to change the text by way of omission. Text in context is the key to understanding scripture.

Hi Sherrill, Yes Alistair is initially reading from the ESV in this sermon. He uses many versions of the Bible in his personal devotions and sermon preparation but his current sermons are preached from the ESV. Blessings, TFL Staff

having Jesus Christ as our savior, and having a life coach are not at all mutually exclusive. In fact, if your life coach is a Christian, these thing go together perfectly. I'm not sure why so many preachers are so fearful. All knowledge must be integrated into our knowledge of the Gospel. This is plain to see for all clear thinking individuals.
Not to take away anything from the sermon but in the end Martin Luther positions on Judaism continue to be controversial. These changed dramatically from his early career, where he showed concern for the plight of European Jews, to his later years, when embittered by his failure to convert them to Christianity, he became outspokenly antisemitic in his statements and writings. And that is very sad !
Yes I agree but the gospel he is sharing is the gospel .... personally i dont agree with luthers take on israel either but i agree with this guys presentation of the gospel .... i believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit today and some things some dont believe but I can glean from ministries
