- During the horrors of the first World War, Jean Brunaud kept diaries of his experiences, which included accounts of what appears to be Yautja hunting activity. These accounts are depicted in the comic, Predator: The Bloody Sands of Time.

" kill one man get the guillotine, kill a million men, and you're a national hero".
No words can describe how true this line of dialogue is.
There's always been something wrong with man. There still is something wrong with man.
True
Well one is in reference to fighting a foreign country, the other is killing a fellow citizen
Those words are from a fucking comic book but yet are still more true than most news articles.
Have YOU ever killed a man? And would you kill a million?
Alien theory exploring yautja lore is a trophy in of itself.
these are great days we're living bros
Quinton Lane is that a trailer park boys quote i see
I thought it was a full metal jacket quote
Jolly Green Giants
walking around jolly green giants with guns! yeah thats full metal jacket
@@liquidemotionzz3232 Walking the Earth. With guns!
Wish they made a movie based on something like this.
Fuck Google, CZcams & Google's failed attempt at Facebook. Imagine if it was a female Yautja, more specifically a Stephani Perry female Yautja.
Actually I think a predators movie set in world war 1 , 2 or Vietnam would be awsome !! As long as a good script landed in the write hands of coarse !!
@@marcusporter7565 wouldn't happen because predator is a species of warriors who hunt for skulls and who has the most skulls gets the mate or something like that
@Wrwo James lmao honestly probably
@Wrwo James pretty much
New BF1 DLC comfirmed? Predators?
Hell, I’d buy the game for that DLC.
All they got do is throw a predator into they shall not pass DLC
Jao Jao It would be no less historically accurate than what's already in there.
Fuck yeah that'd be sweet
Jao Jao That Would Be A Good Idea since COD and GRW did it
"Did you ever hear the tragedy of Neil Blomkamp the wise?"
"I thought not, it's not a story Ridley Scott would tell you".
"It's an Alien legend".
Neil Blomkamp was a powerful lord of cinema, so powerful and so wise,
that he could manipulate Alien concept art to create...life".
"He could even prevent corporal Hicks from dying".
"What happened to him?"
"He became so powerful, the only thing he was afraid of was losing his film script...which eventually of course he did".
"He told Ridley Scott everything he knew, then Ridley Scott killed him in his sleep".
"Ironic... he could save corporal Hicks from Death...but not himself".
Interesting.
+Mr. Tonight You
_"Is it possible to restore this franchise?"_
Not from a Ridley Scott...
Nice play on palpatine and plagueis to Vader
Holy crap, I wish there was a comment fav function.
Bravo!
I think the Predator movie franchise is a virtual treasure trove of missed opportunities. There are TONS of incredible Predator stories that could be told, in my opinion - World War I, World War II, Vietnam, The Civil War, not to mention things properly involving the Colonial Marines of the Aliens universe, and the Aliens themselves. Sadly, doesn't seem like we'll be getting any of these any time soon.
The French and Indian War would be a great setting. All of the Yautja slaughters would attributed to Native Americans so survivors would be called crazy. Vietnam would be a no-brainer.
Jordan Vogt Roberts, the director of Kong, should do one set during Vietnam or the 80s Cold War era since he knows how to do a great period film.
Imperial British in Africa :D native south Americans before colonisation :D Vikings :D the modern day middle East:D so many opportunities
Why couldn't they make AVP in the future against xenomorphs, predators and colonial marines? That would make way more sense than in being in Antarctica in a pyramid. Stupid story in that movie
@@trustymilkshake perhaps a TV series.
I think we all really want to see the Yautja face off against Colonial Marines in a film. I can't believe it hasn't happened, yet.
I have been saying that for awhile now. Can't wait for when they make an AVP movie with the colonial Marines.
Best trailer intro marine:(holding a movement tracker " I got 14 meters 6 meters 4 meters I DONT SEE SHIT " (marine literally runs right into the invisible predator then wrist blade stab)
I don't think Hollywood is that smart. Hell take a look at the AVP films we did get.
John Mathius Hollywood is being run into the ground by liberal imbeciles.
AvP and AvP 2 (2001) the video games they do.
I don't mind a Predator hunting durring War Time. What I don't like the predator interfere with the battle. I prefer it observe soldiers who were worthy of a trophy. To me it seems cowardice to kill enemies on the field of battle when they're distracted. The Predator didn't interfere the first movie when there is a battle going on it actually observed and saw that the Commandos were a worthy pray to hunt.
Jesse12489 Yeah, it's out of character. In the films the Preditor never attacks when humans are in direct conflict with each other.
I thought the same, doesn't make sense to hunt when they're distracted. But maybe the danger of the battlefield justifies it for them
The first two experiences at least make some sense. For the commander they find dead and ripped apart, there are 2 bodies next to him (They dont look german, but the idea could be that the predator saw him kill multiple men and considered him worthy) as for the fort, id imagine its similar to clearing out a xenomorph hive in some regard. I agree with you on the rest though (except maybe the one that went after a tank though that it might be a worthy opponent too XD)
Given where the Predators at times were I can't help but imagine they must have been hit by stray gun fire or mortars which at that point is like hit a bee hive with a stick, you've incurred their wrath.
The makers of Prey NEED to read these comics. Still cant believe they just changed Adolini's story like that. There are so many great ideas in these comics that i would love to see be made into movies
The atmosphere you build is great. Really like the music as well. It seem like it pretty consistent throughout your content. Fits well 👍👍👍
That was really fun! WW I is a great setting for predators. I'm impressed with the historical accuracy.
Agreed and for once the French aren't portrayed as cowards. The French showed incredible courage and lost 4.3% of their countries total population on the battlefield in WW1.
historical accurate lol
I would not call this "historically accurate." It's informed by the most common mythistory of the Great War.
Actually wasn't the first recorded account of a humankind encounter with predators was in 1715 as we saw with that pistol in predator 2?
They actually been hunting us since the Stone Age. It’s more humans confirming there life outside of earth. Ancient predators could have easily been confused as spirits, monsters, or gods by our ancient ancestors.
Elijah Watson keyword “recorded”
@@Rick-il3vn I heard that prop was placed in the Predator 2 as a lead-in to the proposed Predator 3 that was going to take place in a Pirate setting in the Caribbean?
1715.... Take it....
War, war never changes. The hunt continues
Daimon X it would be epic if Ron Perlman narrated the intro to a Predator film.
HOOOOOOOOWWWLLLLL!!! It's a beautiful day in the D.C. wasteland, Three Dog here! Hey, there have been reports of new warriors on the playing field lately. Not sure who they work for, Talon Company? Riley's Raiders? Maybe the Enclave as these cats are rocking some CRAZY new power armor and are so ugly they make feral ghouls say "damn!" Keep on fighting the good fight!!
YO SHUT THE FUCK UP! ANOTHER SETTLEMENT IS UNDER ATTACK AND THEY NEED YOUR HELP!
...
I'll mark the location on your map...
I love this video, very gripping and fresh! I’d genuinely love to see more of the predators in the past
I think we need BOTH a retro-historic and future-setting Predator movie. Past to better flesh out the Predator themselves, and the Future to make more obvious connections to the Aliens canon.
Stabber OpSig I like that. They should use old cameras and old special effects to bring it to life.
We got the historic one now
I would love to see a movie of The Predator having some fun in the mountains and caves of Afghanistan
Again, their are reports of soldiers encounters of large
beasts in caves!
I cannot praise you enough for doing this, I love this comic and today still stands the test as my favorite Predator comic of all time. SUPERB editing and work here, truly amazing. I'm such a huge history buff and this story combines one of my favorite historical conflicts with my beloved Predator franchise. Keep the grade A material coming Alien Theory
Thank you very much! This is also one of my favorites and I love the way it worked in WWI and Vietnam War history along with an unnerving Predator tale. Also some great commentary about war itself.
Alien Theory wasn't there another comic on Iwo Jima?
Definitely want to see historical settings in the Predator universe. Ancient Rome, Greece would be fantastic. American Civil War, Both WW, And the Napoleonic Wars.
Elliott King Careful, you don’t want it to end up like the assassins creed franchise
I'd first like to say thank you for taking time to speak about the Predators in your careful and easy to understand way. I really, really appreciate it.
I'd love some Predator movies without Earth personal. Without humans. A TRUE AvP. That said, seeing them hunt in the past would be so very cool.
With the success of fan films such as the one set during the crusades I think a WW1 film could work especially if they incorporate events such as the crucified soldier that was supposedly found pinned to a barn door near Ypres as a yautja prize and other reported events into the story
I love these videos, Alien Theory. Keep it up, you're awesome!
Predator throughout time, from Cavemen to Spacemen, a hunt like no other.
Love the subdued and melancholic style of your videos.
What I want, is more Yautja universe on your channel.
That was classy story.
When it comes to the predator, anywhere in history will work, and I'd love to see those movies!
klinton kavanagh i would be terrified in vietnam or korea.
I love the fan made pred film "dark ages" top kek
Would love to see something bad ass like a Spartan facing a Predator. Or a Roman legion thats being hunted by a predator hunting party
@@Stefanius058 dude what if the reason why the ninth Legion of the Roman army in Britain was wiped out by yautjas 🤔 it would be a great story
That would be one hell of good movie. As a veteran myself I would love to have a sit in with some one about an idea from an strange event that took place in Falluja Iraq.
jamsjb11 thank you for your service
jamsjb11 if you saw the predator what is your response?
Tell us your story
We need to hear your story now, you can't just leave us hanging bro. As a vet myself, I would love to hear it.
Damn, Fallujah would be a good one. Marine 03's vs Muj, and a predator? Fuck yea, I'd watch it.
Well the Yautja were around in the 1700's, that could be interesting to see. It could really work in any setting as long as it has a good writing team behind it. And I hope they don't demystify the Yautja too much.
I used to have this particular Predator comic book. Any way I remember reading in Predator Hunter's Planet that the Yautja stopped hunting humans because they were too dangerous. Could you do a video elaborating on why the Yautjas considered humans too dangerous to hunt and why are they more dangerous than xenomorphs.
MackenDeez It's probably because although humans were esily killed they fought back harder each time and evolved (weapons, strategies, gear, etc)
The American Patriot I'm thinking that it's because humans are aware of their existence, aware that the Yautja can only see in infrared, and are aware of their hunting ethics which can be exploited. Plus humans have cracked some of their technology by the 2200's.
Excellent story...I love anything WW related. Thanks again!
Do you want to dive in WW1 fort? czcams.com/video/MQaGw5HG-qQ/video.html
Yes, I would love to see this as a movie. I think that the Yautja would take advantage of the chaos and confusion during any historic battle in Earth's history. Especially for human trophies. That's pretty much how they were introduced as well.
Good to see it’s working now I alway look forward to seeing your videos
This would be 100% my favourite movie ever. Ww1 history was on point and well blended in with the story. Thanks for the video mate
this playlist looks amazing and fascinating, oh boy this looks like a good binge watch
So.... much material this would make a fantastic film. Well read as usual!!!
Masterfully done once again bro.
Fantastic Video Totally Awesome! 🙌
I love this channel so much so glad I stumbled across it. The Predators have always been one of my favorite fictional subjects, I still remember when I was younger and finding one of their books un the library one day.
Has Accounts of the Earth War finished?
Awesome work as usual.
Thank you and no, it's just getting started :)
This was great! And it would make an amazing movie/ Netflix type series
Your awesome- u made this comic even better
I have these comic issues and damn I must agree. You made this far more entertaining ! Thank you for all your hard work. I always look forward too seeing you post a new issue (^_^)
Predators hunting in some other time period than modern times could be interesting for a change. It's harder to make a good film about the old and different times though so I don't expect Hollywood to take that risk. It's a good thing we got the comics.
I dig your videos. Great content and nice voice overs...
Glad I discovered this. These comic narrations are great.
Great video as always, the tone and feel are great giving both action and menace throughtout the story. Hopefully one day we will get some type of adaptation of this into a film or animated series.
As a 46 year old fan, I love watching these, keep up the awsome, awsome work.
One problem, the term, "The Great War" wasn't used until after the war ended, and, then, primarily by the British.
A world war one-based predator film would definitely be something new!
I’d pay to see it!
YES! PLEASE! Movies revolving around historic appearance of the predator would be awesome! I want to mention that Machiko’s story on Ryushi is the AVP movie we deserve!
Good vid, great ch.
Would love to see an anthology series set in this universe. Hour long episodes, not set in any specific time period.
Naturally, this would be one of the stories. Or one heavily inspired by it.
thanks for the video
Yes the time travel back would be an interesting movie. Keep the same formula. Alien and predator (seperate from each other) don't need to have the stakes raised continually. They were already so far ahead of their time. Its almost like we had to grow into those story lines rather than grow outside of them. Mr. H puts this to light very well in his last update.
Great stuff
Great to see you doing predator stuff to mate! Even more to enjoy 🙂🙂🙂
Wow great video
Predator should definitely be subjected in Alien Theory!
A WW1 era live action movie would be epic....with a good script and great actors, you'd have a brilliant movie.
Everyime I watch one of your vids, I think the same thoughts; what a great movie this would be, if done correctly.
I'd love to see a WWII Themed one. But not in Germany. The Battles in Philippine Jungles would be so much better. And feel closer to the lore and environment of the Yautja
They mentioned that the Yautja were on Iwo Jima in Predator 2. That would be great. You could do a movie from both the American and Japanese perspectives.
Was great that, good job!
Would love to see this turn into a full on feature film, there’s so much they can do with this franchise. Needs to be funded well as it feels like it’s turned into a B-movie thing, but with these types of back stories there could be an action epic just waiting there
If I were to see a historical story on the predator I'd love to see the reason the hunter has a flintlock in 2 (unless there is a comic or some such). I just think it would be nuts to see someone capable of fighting the predator with such old tech and being worthy of a trophy like that
They didn't fight each other but still an amazing comic czcams.com/video/_pahlOqRqSs/video.html
Thanks for another glimpse into the past I remember a video during the Middle Ages as well as WWII each one of these were IMO were as high a quality as the first film
You and Tenbond have the best voices for voice over work on CZcams
Great story !
I like the idea of one taking place in the past, but not so much WW1/2 or really any major war.
However, waring periods, times of highly skilled warriors.... hell yes.
Imagine the predators hunting in a romance of the three kingdoms setting, or medieval times, ancient greece/egypt/japan, etc.
This is great, I wish the films after the original one were as good as this comic book... fantastic video as always, so well produced... the background ambience music is perfect and the horror story is brilliant... I would love to see this on the big screen...
One of the most creative spins of all time!
The Yautja has become timeless. So too has their reputation...
Keep the Predator in a post-modern setting. WW I era is hard to replicate accurately... As always, an excellent reading. Bravo!
Jerry Sinclair its still doable and cool
I thought “Cowboys And Aliens” was a exciting and interesting movie. Thoroughly enjoyable. So any timeline word work wouldn’t you say?
Very awesome.
I’d love to see a prequel to Predator. I’d love to see who would play Jim Harper and what exactly happened to Jim and his men. 🤨
It was Hopper, but he'll yea.
I would love to see a Predator film set in the past. WW1 or Vietnam would be great, but even something more extreme like having it set during the Spanish invasion of the Americas would be awesome!
Man, This some great Predator HQ!! I would love an adaption of this comic book, I was more excited about this video than that shallow mediocre trailer of the new Predator movie.
I want to see future humans going toe to toe with the predators.
Thank you. I'd like to see both esp. Futile Japan era and Alien-Aliens [movies] time line.
Feudal
Been binging the shit outa this channel. Right on!
I always loved the past settings for anything Predator related. The difference in technology, the interactions, it's all just so interesting ya know?
There's an awesome fan film simply called ''Untitled Predator Fan Film'' that takes place in the pacific during WW2,I love it and if you're a fan of Predator, you have to watch it.
I remember a Dark Horse comic showing pedators fighing against samourais. That was cool.
I've always loved seeing predators hunting people in the past, and I think it'd be a good idea for a film.
Need to get these
I think it would be a great idea to move around when it comes to movie time settings. An obvious example would be how Greyback got the pistol. It might be a little difficult to stretch out the source material to roughly two hours though. A movie from the past would also be a great way to show their technology progression. I did enjoy this video.
WWI is the perfect setting for a Predator story I feel. I've often thought about it.
I have the first issue of this comic! I never had a chance to find the rest of the comic and finish it
A predator hunt on Iwo Jima would make a good film !
I'd like them to focus more on the origins of the predators. Perhaps explain their homeworld and customs. What do you think?
Great reading, ur story telling is amazing on all fronts. I believe if film producers heard u read this we may even have been saved from the newly polished turd that will be the new predator. I'm semi new to ur channel but I'm already almost done binge watching all u vids. Keep up the great work brother. One more thing, I love the alien stuff too don't get me wrong but I'd love some more predator content as well. Predator will always be my first and true love.
Ahhh how the taking of forte duhamon was woven in. That was General Ludendorffs hero story that launched him straight to the top. So cool. Everything perfectly woven into actual history.
This would be epic on the big screen!
I can already hear Sabaton's "Ghost in the Trenches."
Beautifully read.....
thanks!
I would love to see the story of the Elder Predator, who got his flint gun trophy from Predator 2, hunting conquistadors in the jungles of South America. Great video, thanks for sharing it :)
I seen a video here on CZcams and read where they went as far back in time as somewhere around the 1600's I certainly wouldn't mind a tv series or something along that line that explored the predators throughout time
I would like to see a fully funded Predator film set in the South Pacific During WW2 or During the Korean War and maybe Vietnam. Could show a link to Mac and Blane from their days in 'Nam.
Something like Predator: Dark Ages would be terrific.
I would like to see a movie that says the predators start ww3 and fight both sides through out their "organized hunt" I think predators getting humans to start a war for their hunting desires would be awesome!
Honestly, the description of world War 1 was so compelling that I kept forgetting that this was a yautja story.
Awesome story
