I just got a 2015 435i Gran Coupe the other day and wow, it’s beyond words. I didn’t know this was my dream car until I sat down and drove it.
Unsuspectingly quick, laser precise and smooth like butter. This car is the real deal.
Why are so many people criticizing this car for its apparent 'uselessness'? There's nothing wrong with car companies exploring new and ever-more-specific niches. A lot of market research goes into the development of a new product, and BMW wouldn't have developed the 4 series Gran Coupe if there was no demand for it. Then again, the people who cry about it probably aren't in the market for a new BMW anyway.

I loved my E46 M3. But I prefer sedans. I also love wagons and batches.
I get a car hat looks sexy as duck like a coupe. But it’s got 4 doors like a sedan. But it’s got a hatch so that my dog can hop in the back and have a safe spot to ride.
I like Fastback mustangs. I like BMW coupes. I like BMW wagons. I love the 3 series sedan. I love frameless windows. This perfectly combines all of those best features into one super badass car.
I wanted a coupe but I have a family and I need some space in the back so I got this sedan coupe hatchback called the 4 series gran coupe

I have one 😁, and it is beautiful.
I also have one, a 430 in Mineral Grey and I love it. I would tweak a few things in the interior, but the exterior is beautiful.

I also got 1 in alpine white with tan interior I prefer the gran coupe over the 2 door anytime it looks as hard as a 6 series
I drive a mineral gray grand coupe and looks better way better than a 6 or 8 series

The reason why BMW fans are upset about this is because we were told that the 4 series was going to replace the coupe (two door) versions of the 3 series. Now this comes out and BMW now has three different mid size series cars (3,4, and 5). In essence BMW is competing with itself here. It's like this new 4 series was meant to compete with the 3 series.

Such beautiful design!! The new one looks horrendous compared to this 7 years ago. Goes to show a simple more elegant design is much better than a more aggressive look we have in 2021.

It looks amazing like other BMWs have been but wish the exterior design had more flair like in the leaked images but other than that great car!

even though its the sedan version of the coupe based on the sedan, this thing is DAMN gorgeous. Regretting i just got the 5 series!
Also joining the convertible and the coupe is the Gran Coupe. Like the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe, it's a coupe that has 4 doors. However, unlike the 6-er Gran Coupe, the pillar, according to spy shots, is like the 3-Series GT, consisting 4 pillars - A-Pillar, B-Pillar, C-Pillar and D-Pillar, also similar to the Audi A7 and the Audi A5 sportback. Although similar pillar layout as the 3-Series GT, it is sleeker, like its coupe brother (F32).

I like the 4 series gran coupe. It's both a family and also a sports car at the same time. Wonderful design guys congratulations. However guys i have a e36 3.18i 1991 bmw (automatic transmission) i can very well see that back in 1990s interior material quality was far ahead of todays..

Back in 2019 I bought a 2015 f36 428i RWD Sportline. I’ll be handing down the car to my son for him to enjoy.

I absolutely love my 2019 430i rear-wheel drive. The exterior is absolutely beautiful. The very wide stance of the chassis actually makes the 225mm wide tires look narrow and I like it. The swoop of the window frame is gorgeous too. I love it all around and the ride is very good.
My only serious complaint is that my car came with unbelievably NOISY Pirelli P7 run-flat tires. They were so noisy that I had to get taken off and replaced with Michelin MXM4 touring tires. The Michelin tires really made the car very quiet but that set me back almost $1000.
This is car is super, but still upset about the $1000 to replace these horrible Pirelli tires.

amazing looking car. not as elegant as the two marketing guys say though, it's more of a show off design than a subtle, elegant one. that's the only problem i find with modern bmws.
It is very close to the sedan, but I think it makes sense, because it adds the more elegant Coupè looks without compromising everyday practicality too much. Maybe its even more practical, because the trunk space is easier to access than on the sedan, especially with bigger objects...

I love my F36, but like my E36/7 just a bit more.
I was pure fan of Mercedes Benz. And this summer i come to my cousin in Stuttgart to start search for my first Mercedes.
Then he say to me : I know that you love Mercedes more than anything but lets look one BMW 3er. That car is your choice but you don t know that yet :).
On first start of engine i fall in love. I get everything sport, luxury, comfort, safeness, efficiency. And i buy now already "old" 325D E90 2010, and BMW now create much much much more better car. How is that possible? :D I can now only dream that i will earn one day enough money to buy brand new BMW from factory.

what's the point in 4 door 4series? There is a 3 series which is exactly the same...

Serie 3 as u said is for audi A4 and mercedes C class.

yea sure this model wasn't "necessary" because the gap it fills actually was too small to be filled. but damn - the 4 series gran coupe just looks stunning! imho this is the most beautiful sedan bmw produces. both aggressive and classy!

Looks like the 3 series GT. The 4 series was like a two door 3 series. The 3 series GT shared the ''coupe'' lines and the 4 series looks identical almost to it. The interiors are even the same.
Wonder how the new 5 series is going to look.
Then.. what's the different with the 3 series GT???

People the BMW 4 series replaces the 3 series coupe, please get it right! Just like the new 2 series is a replacement for the 1 series coupe. BMW tries to fill up their product line from series 1-7 if you haven't noticed, just like Audi and Mercedes for instance.
What the hell is the point of making a four-door 3 series, making a two-door spinoff called the 4-series, and then making a four-door version of the two-door spinoff??
+Nick K Because you get the practicality of the 3-series (4 doors, bigger boot) AND you get the sportiness of the 4-series (wider body and steeper roofline).
Let's say you are looking for a mid class executive car and you are really fond of the coupe line of the 4-series but you find those 4 doors of the 3-series so practical. And there you have it - the 4 series gran coupe. Oh, god damn it, i sound like a fucking salesman...I hope you get my point.
It's like the Audi a5 of BMW.

looks like a good car but, i think it may cannibalize 3 and 5 series sales. Also why should i pay an extra 10 grand for a hatchback 3 series? Price may need to come down or it needs to introduce some other feature 3 series doesn't have.

why do bmw keep making soooooooo many models? seems like they stretch a model a few inches n BAM new model or change the roofline and BAM new model, i kinda dont get it. are sales low? or why do they seem so desperate to fill every single slot with all these inbetween models?
+Ernesto Ortega R BMW's goal is to provide the customer with lots of choices so people can buy exactly what they want. this might displease some customers who are intimidated by too many choices but BMW is willing to take that risk.
4 series grand coupe is the same as 3 series GT, or very close

30 years ago you make the first m3 and it was only two doors. In 2013 you stopped the m3.You launched the 4 series coupe and now we have a gran coupe. I think that after 30 years you will stop the 4 series coupe :D

I don't understand, 4 Series Sedan? Wasn't the 3 Series supposed to be BMW's main sedan. Besides the 3 comes along with a GT as well
I love BMW but way to many models now. This might lead to consumer confusion. It's a nice car I want one.
I am just a little confused because BMW changed the name of their coupe to the 4 series, and kept the name of their 4 door vehicle as the 3 series. But now they are coming out with another 4 series but it also has 4 doors. Why couldn't you have just called the 4 door version the 4 series and kept the coupe as the classic 3 series?
The car looks good, as I expected from BMW, but the rear boot design is bugging me. It's quite similar to the 3 series GT. It feels like as if it's a lowered down version of the 3 GT. My opinion is, with this car released, they will have to gamble on their own product; either the 3 sells well or the 4 GC.

I still don't really like that front end. I didn't like it when the 3 series came out and i still don't like it on this car. but the overall effect of the coupe-look had done wonders for this car. it's truly a fantastic car.
