America is currently plagued by the hydra-headed evil duo of inflation and recession. The worst part about this recession is that consumers are racking up credit card debt. In April alone, credit card debt went up 20% while rates have doubled in a year. Inflation is so high that consumers are literally taking debt for basic life necessities. Collapse has indeed begun..

This is precisely why I like having a portfolio coach guide my day-to-day market decisions: with their extensive knowledge of going long and short at the same time, using risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying it off as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, their skillset makes it nearly impossible for them to underperform. I've been utilizing a portfolio coach for more than two years, and I've made over $800,000.

The government does require proof from American citizens. You can't collect food stamps unless you are working 80 hours a month, going to school full-time, and if you're not working then you have to show up at the career center 20 hours a week and apply for work or get new job training skills. At any time if you fail to do one of these things you will lose your food stamps for up to 3 years. sadly I think once again they're confusing the American people for the illegal immigrants that are getting all the food stamps, the housing, the jobs, the health insurance, and the money.

My sister ran a couple of apartment complexes and about 20% were on some kind of government aid. The 15% of Section 8 housing caused 95% of the problems. Also, during Christmas and Thanksgiving, the welfare recipients would go to various aid organizations and they were given lots of money in cash, store cards, and lots of free food and toys. When those Section 8's would get behind on the rent, she would with a lot of opposition from the courts, evict those renters that were 4 months behind on the rent. It is a long and torturous process to evict a renter who did not pay rent.
When those scumbags were finally evicted, she would have to have the vacant apartment repaired for thousands of dollars in damages they would do to the apartments.

Those statistics are BS, I manage a grocery store and unless you actually work in the industry you don't know the half of what's actually going on. First of all, it's much higher than 62%. I would almost bet that more than half our customers that have foodstamps are between 20 and 30 years old. Then you have probably another 35% that are between 30 and 50 years old. The other 15% is 50 and up with a good percentage of them being able bodied for work. Then you have another supplemental food stamp card that mothers get so they can buy healthy food for their children and the amount is based on the amount of children they have. Now here's the part that will really drive you crazy. Probably 95% of these women are under 30 and a good percentage of them come in with children and are pregnant. So not only do we pay for these people to eat, we also pay for these people to get pregnant. These people have the nerve to let themselves get pregnant knowing that they already get everything for free. And if all that isn't bad enough it's Social Security that's going bankrupt and in danger of being gone by 2035, but you never ever hear them say foodstamps and welfare are going broke. So the people that go to work everyday that are paying into something may not get what's owed to them, but these cancers of society who don't work, don't care to work are safe for life. That's out wonderful system.

I worked 40+ while I was on food stamps. I was on it less than a year because I got married and our income wouldn't qualify anyway. I paid into it for years before and after so it is not a hand out. When you work you get considerably less...these people today are dealing with higher food prices also than I did 15 yrs ago. I would not get far at all. The lady was not even sure how I was doing it as it was when I went to apply. I was choosing what bill to pay late that's how. I'm very thankful for the amount I did recieve because I do not know how we would of made it without the help. Human decency definitely one cannot rely on. Just look at the comments here. Is it frustrating when some take advantage...of course. But when I see our people vote for those who send BILLIONS to other countries and see everyone complain about people in line using food stamps NOT KNOWING their situation is disgusting. Humans should be ashamed...but are not willing to look at it through empathetic eyes. I see more griping about welfare for citizens than warfare funds for other countries. Pathetic.

It's because people who work can't get the help when they need it because they make to much money to get help.

The only time I tried when I truly need help was during Covid. Got denied. I will never again ask my government for a dime. It was such a slap in the face as a tax payer.

In late 1970's the factory I was working at suddenly closed it's doors. Couldn't even empty our lockers. When I tried to apply for just a short term help till I could find another job, they told me to go get pregnant then they could help me! I got nothing 😕
