I discovered a Neo-Geo in the wild for the first time in '90-91 and was blown away by Magician Lord. So that is probably my favorite game, but I also like Super Spy & Nam 1975 from that same group of original releases. Later games, definitely the Metal Slug and original Samurai Shodown.

I'm living in Utah, and I had an Earthquake the day after St. Patrick's Day of this year as well as all the many aftershocks. This house was built by contractors who were from California and they built it with a basement that spans about the entire footprint of the house except for the 2-Car garage and the full sized porch. Even this far out, we're still having aftershocks and such. With all that out of the way, I am going to say, that you have a very nice Arcade and I hope that you will keep going strong and well.
We don't have basements in Florida either, and I'm jealous of the people that can and do have them. Like you said, it really expands the livable footprint of the house.
Just the sounds of the machines in the background brings back memories of my teens, going to the seaside arcades and being there with all the various machines making noise in the background....nice
Sickest collection I’ve ever seen! Love those old school Nintendo cabs. Nothing like the artwork and look. Especially love the Popeye. Only thing you need is some 90s machines. Like NBA Jam, Turtles in Time, X-Men. My 2 personal favs when I was younger were Arch Rivals and Double Dragon. Would love to have a few of these machines, but they’re so expensive every place I look online. 😕
I've got a few cabinets myself. This video is just pure inspiration. Great collection and amazing work on the restorations. It's nice to see the golden age of arcade gaming preserved like this. Playing Double Dragon in a 7-11 is one of my earliest arcade game memories. I'm fortunate enough to live in a city that has a very large arcade (2 floors) as well as having a few cabinets myself. And plenty of independent take-out restaurants have them. The only reason I never got myself a Metal Slug cab is because I can play it while I wait for my pizza to cook.
Yep, my 2 car garage became my arcade, back in the day. Sadly, where I live now, we still don't have basements. It's ok though, the BIG external garage with an upstairs area is more than enough for my needs!👍

Oh my God now that I'm seeing the games you got what a magnificent collection Robotron are my eyes deceiving me or do you have a dedicated Crystal Castles OMG so jelly I'm a sucker for the Chrome T mold trim and neon green and normal green for some reason! my first isometric love was Crystal Castles followed by Qbert on the 2600🕹👌

I like your selection. We have the same taste in games. Congo Bongo and Robotron belong in every home arcade. I watch a lot of these home arcade videos and Popeye, Carnival and Donkey Kong 3 are not too common, but both are great games. Kick-Man, Star Trek and Front Line are a couple more I used to love.

However, I recently got a job, and I'm also getting my own place next year, so I'm going to slowly start building my collecting in anticipation for that.

I bought my first game almost 19 years ago and just added one at a time. I fixed and restored many along the way and learned a lot. I've made friends with other collectors. We occasionally buy, sell and trade with each other. Some came from Craiglist, a few from eBay, some from Facebook arcade collectors groups. I've never been afraid to have games shipped to me.....not cheap but it unlocks the whole country for you as far as finding games. But yeah, pick a game you really want and start the hunt. What game do you want? Let me know if I can help.
Did you have to have a separate breaker/breakers/circuit to handle all of these at the same time? I'm about to have my garage enclosed and need to add plug ins and I assume a few circuits to handle these arcade games
Yes, now is the time to think about it. As my room was already built, I had to get creative to get enough juice in there. I rewired one section of the room to the circuits with the pool equipment on the outside of the arcade through exterior wall. With the combo of what was existing and the 2nd circuit added, everything runs reliably. Been tested over 10+ hours during parties etc.
That's a sweet looking arcade you have. Love the space. For your Pole Position, are you going to consider looking into the FPGA board that Adam from OneCircuit is working on and will hopefully be released soon? (Atari and Namco versions of Pole Position/Pole Position II)

I’m in CA, but know the owner of Grinkers and have been there a number of times. Too bad it’s now permanently closed! Although I have tremendous respect for the MK franchise, I don’t love it enough to have a dedicated cab. I play it on a multicade when needed. I have a regular SF2 CE and SFA3 in the garage!

I like your Budweiser Tapper and was happy to see you didn't have the Root Beer Tapper version ;) I am in a studio, so I have MKII and SFII Arcade1ups and have modded the MKII with a raspberry pi, so I can play Ninja Turtles, Primal Rage, and NBA Jam, along with all the MK games, as well as have scanlines, as I have the original cab that didn't have them. SF is the newer version that has scanlines and World Warrior artwork. I'm happy with them though. I always dreamed of owning my own arcade machine, but thought that if I ever did, I'd only be able to have 1 and that would have been an MK1 cab. So, to have both MK and SF, which are the main games I would have wanted, makes me happy, whether they are full sized or not. I have modded the artwork and controls on MKII to be as close to the original cab as possible. SF just needs a graphic below the controls. I feel the same way about the other games I have in the MKII cab as you do about MK. I am ok without dedicated cabs of them. However, if I had a place like yours, I would have dedicated cabs of them, and all 4 dedictated MK cabs. I still wish MKII was MK1, but I decided it was easier to perfect the art that was on it, rather than get a full MK1 art kit and convert it.

U should upgrade your Modded Xbox to Coinops 8 Massive and also put NINJA MASSIVE in there with all the addon packs! I'm huge into mods and just saw this as u were going through your games. This is Unreal Man! U have done an absolute Killer Job on these Cabs!
I'm decent at restoring games etc, but flashing and modding consoles is a headache for me lol! What does Ninja Massive do for you? Is there a big difference between CoinOps6 and 8?
@@SlikkNikk Hey Man, was busy...Yea, Coinops 8 Massive has over 4100 Roms including Genesis, NES, SNES, Master System, GBA, PC Engine, PC Engine CD, Playstation and the Arcade Roms are all running Great but for a few! Now, NINJA is Coinops on Steroids! They took the Premium version before it and bumped everything up to 60fps! Its Unreal! It's like Hyperspin for the Xbox....no filler, just Beautiful! NINJA was the last thing they did before jumping over to Coinops Forgotten Worlds for the PC, which has noe taken off like a rocket!

U can put so much on those. I'm a big Shooter Fan so u can put all the Japanese Shoot em ups on there that would cost a fortune to own the disc version. Plus, all the Xbox Live Arcade Titles....its nuts
My coin ops app in my original Xbox won’t launch anymore when I click on it it just shows black screen do you have any advice And I bought the Xbox already modded so I have no idea what I’m doing lol
Bombdiggity Arcade! Yes - I have a variety of large Bluetooth enabled speakers for music. Can also pull out the NS7 or the 1200s if needed....you know how I roll lol.
I've had the upright and a mini in the past. For me, the replay value just wasn't there so I moved them along. Space becomes a major issue when you get up there in number of cabs.
There are issues when you take a modern camera and try to take a video of an old monitor sometimes. The monitors are crisp in real life. Check the 20:15 mark in this video and you'll see them looking perfect!

So were you able to create an additional event or tourney for the party so you didn’t have to override your ongoing home Arcade scores? And if so do they save and any limit on how many you can have in your iscored profile?

U should upgrade your Modded Xbox to Coinops 8 Massive and also put NINJA MASSIVE in there with all the addon packs! I'm huge into mods and just saw this as u were going through your games. This is Unreal Man! U have done an absolute Killer Job on these Cabs!
I'm decent at restoring games etc, but flashing and modding consoles is a headache for me lol! What does Ninja Massive do for you? Is there a big difference between CoinOps6 and 8?
@@SlikkNikk Hey Man, was busy...Yea, Coinops 8 Massive has over 4100 Roms including Genesis, NES, SNES, Master System, GBA, PC Engine, PC Engine CD, Playstation and the Arcade Roms are all running Great but for a few! Now, NINJA is Coinops on Steroids! They took the Premium version before it and bumped everything up to 60fps! Its Unreal! It's like Hyperspin for the Xbox....no filler, just Beautiful! NINJA was the last thing they did before jumping over to Coinops Forgotten Worlds for the PC, which has noe taken off like a rocket!

U can put so much on those. I'm a big Shooter Fan so u can put all the Japanese Shoot em ups on there that would cost a fortune to own the disc version. Plus, all the Xbox Live Arcade Titles....its nuts

Bombdiggity Arcade! Yes - I have a variety of large Bluetooth enabled speakers for music. Can also pull out the NS7 or the 1200s if needed....you know how I roll lol.

I've had the upright and a mini in the past. For me, the replay value just wasn't there so I moved them along. Space becomes a major issue when you get up there in number of cabs.

There are issues when you take a modern camera and try to take a video of an old monitor sometimes. The monitors are crisp in real life. Check the 20:15 mark in this video and you'll see them looking perfect!
