- As the Tokyo Summer Olympics come to a close, we're honored to share this special performance of Summon the Heroes, written for the 1996 games by John Williams. Congratulations to Sunisa Lee, Gable Steveson and all of the Minnesota Olympians who proudly represented Minnesota and the United States on the world stage.
I would have loved to be seated near those amazing musicians.
Outstanding. What a great performance. Great audio and video as well. Thank you for sharing this.
Manny sounds great, as does the entire orchestra. I really like this conductor too!
Bravo!👏🏼
Gosh that was just brilliant - where the hell is the audience - the place is almost empty
That was awesome!
Beautiful!!! Bravo Trumpet solo!!
❤
Pure brillance!
Wonderful orchestra! That said, I would love to hear this ensemble play the original.
Bravo Manny Laureano! But equal kudos to the magnificent Minnesota Orchestra!
Manny is the man! Almost 70. He doesn't look like it, nor does he sound like it. OMG!
Grande Mani!!!!
Amazing!
Wow! Thank you for your remarkable work!
This is pitched a step down from the original.
super....but where was the trumpet harmony at @8 seconds?
Different arrangement. Also a whole step down from original.
@@Davidkaisermusic ah... no wonder....this arr. seems wimpy. Why the heck did they do that.....ugh

Look behind the conductor. You’ll see sparsely occupied orchestra seats. Those wearing white show up bluish in color because of the optical brightened dye in their detergent.
There was a lot of sparsely occupied seats at a lot of concerts at that time - COVID still had us by the throat. There are even orchestra members with masks on.
