I feel the connection with not only Hekate but everyone who gathers under her name here.
HEKATE (or Hecate) was the goddess of magic, witchcraft, the night, moon, ghosts and necromancy. She was the only child of the Titanes Perses and Asteria from whom she received her power over heaven, earth, and sea.
Hekate assisted Demeter in her search forPersephone, guiding her through the night with flaming torches. After the mother-daughter reunion became she Persephone's minister and companion in Haides.
Two metamorphosis myths describe the origins of her animal familiars: the black she-dog and the polecat (a mustelid house pet kept to hunt vermin). The bitch was originally the Trojan Queen Hekabe, who leapt into the sea after the fall of Troy and was transformed by the goddess into her familiar. The polecat was originally the witch Gale who was transformed into the beast to punish her for her incontinence. Other say it was Galinthias, the nurse of Alkmene, transformed by the angry Eileithyia, but received by Hekate as her animal.
Hekate was usually depicted in Greek vase painting as a woman holding twin torches. Sometimes she was dressed in a knee-length maiden's skirt and hunting boots, much like Artemis. In statuary Hekate was often depicted in triple form as a goddess of crossroads.

One day i saw a post on fb it was a picture of Hekate i didn't read the comments and i didn't research nothing about her but i really liked this name Hekate. One day later at 3 in the night I couldn't sleep, i was standing in my bed with my eyes closed and idk why but i said Hekate in my mind and after that, a biiig moon appeared in front of my eyes, the moon was so real that i cant explain. It was like i was there in the sky watching the moon face to face lol. Then i opened my eyes and i was like omggg what was that.. then i colse my eyes again and i saw an owl. After that night i research about Hekate and find out that she's represented by the moon.. and by the owl.. i cant believe.

Shes not made out to be evil, but she embodies the shadow self which many people would think of as 'evil' and is why so many people repress it; it's also why shadow work is so important. Without evil there can be no good. Without darkness there cannot be light. Hecate is a goddess who wants us to embrace the shadow self and integrate it into our consciousness and be whole. She isnt just a love and light goddess. She holds the keys to the heavens the seas and the underworld. She is everything. That may be why there may be a more "sinister" feel so other music. Because we embrace the good AND the bad in ourselves and life.
I may be a lover of all things technological. But there are times when I need too walk in the green to re center and re balance myself. I started my path when I met my future wife at of all places a SciFi club meeting before leaving for Air Force basic training. My eyes were opened when I was in basic training when I attended my first Wiccan gathering and started my path to the craft but with my own twist to it. I combine technology with the craft because that's how I interpret it into my life and it works for me. The craft means many different things to many different people it is not one way of doing things or interpretation. So Blessed Be to all that follow their own path in their practice of the craft.
