Coolest truck bed cargo box I have ever seen by Cargo Glide : SEMA 2017

  • While at SEMA 2017 I spotted this amazing cargo box on a slide out system for trucks and vans. This thing slides out incredibly far transforming your truck into a "command center".
    For marksmen, it can hold all your firearms, ammo, targets and support gear.
    If you are a tradesman you can clearly see the possibilities.
    I especially like the roof top cargo rack that slides over to the side and down so you don't need to climb into your truck bed to access your gear.
    They also make slide out racks for vans and Jeeps.

    very nice, I was looking for a commercial product that can extend a class B camper van, like a slide out but in the back instead. this is very close to something that can work.

      @@mixflip Yes, I like the Roof Rack as well, but still can't find it online. The top of my truck is over 7' & would be 8' with a Roof Rack, so the ability for it to slide down to be accessed is great. I realize some have expressed concerns about being able to lift it back up once it's been loaded with gear, but that's not an issue for me so I love the Rack.
      Any word on whether that Rack is available yet or not?? ☺️

      Question how easy would it be to mount a A frame or even just a one sided a frame to the slide. Would look like a pro! Which I am! Travel over 30k miles a year around Duval and surrounding counties. I need this if it's possible

  • @recyclespinning9839
    @recyclespinning9839 Před 3 lety

    Wow, now you don't need a high roof line on your van to load or unload tools .. a remodelers dream for work. Probably costs as much as a good used van however...

  • @johnstrickland3933
    @johnstrickland3933 Před 6 lety

    The only thing I would change would be makeing it swivel sidewys 90 degrees when you pull it all the way out. That way you can have a true moble command system with access to everything

    • @mixflip
      @mixflip  Před 6 lety

      walperstyle i know what you mean. I drew up plans on paper of shoes with wheels in the heels 15 years ago....then years later i saw a product in the mall called heelies for kids. Someone had the same idea and ran with it.

    • @walperstyle
      @walperstyle Před 6 lety

      Its crazy how small the world is getting. About the sametime as you were coming up with your shoes, I was designing a dual engine race car. A small jet engine spooled a turbo instead of the main drivetrain engine. Turns out someone did it, search 'mannic beattie'. on youtube. Its a crazy fast hill climb car.

    • @nzzenith
      @nzzenith Před 6 lety

      walperstyle wow, about the same time you were tinkering on little engines I was successfully shooting rockets with dummy men anywhere up to 12,000ft high that transformed into gliders on my dad's farm. But a certain country in the middle east were getting forceful to hold of the plans so I burnt all the stuff up.

    • @mixflip
      @mixflip  Před 6 lety

      Barry Wilson maybe keep the load simple like extra fuel and recovery gear.

    • @GrandadBaz
      @GrandadBaz Před 6 lety

      Mixflip how much fuel would you be able to lift on this? The sliding rack is a good idea but! I think that it needs a little more thought about how you can safely push it back into position when it's got a load especially on a truck that will more than likely have larger tyres and a suspension lift . Think about it.

    • @Banguts
      @Banguts Před 6 lety +1

      I don't know what diesel weighs, but water is around 8 lbs per gallon. The dude in the video could barely even reach the roof slide, no way he's lifting a couple 5 gallon gas cans up there.

    If you design one
    Just use the whole darn bed
