When waiting for enemies around corner or long corridors, I always spam thorns and ready my grip
The couple of headshots the thorns land could be the difference between an enemy dying or getting away with 1 health

Just a tip from someone that's thrown about 80hrs into weaver. When dva ults and you have petal and no cover. Just jump on your petal and use it for cover. Works with soldier, mei, Junkrat and a lot of other ults. With rat and reaper you need to be quick obviously.
