It should be noted that Bad Samaritan actually got a glow up recently, he still looks pretty average but he's actually a major villain, he can very subtle nudge people to make evil decisions when tempted to, pretty much erasing restraint. And since his power is so subtle and not intended to be super powerful, nobody ever suspects he's doing anything at all.
His power is literally to make the devil on your shoulder louder. Its kind of horrifying in a way. I have no idea if he lives up to the current hype on Earth 0, but he's apparently a menace in Young Justice.

I feel like Mr. Camera could work well if he was redone into a psycho killer who compulsively takes pictures of every aspect of his kills, leaving the pics as clues for the GCPD and eventually Batman to find, just to fuck with them. You could even make a story out of how Mr. Camera starts threatening/taunting Batman by leaving pictures of his nightly crime fighting at crime scenes he knows Batman will be at, slowly zeroing in on the fact he's Bruce Wayne.
You could also have a story of how Mr. Camera's killings start to piss off other villains by ripping off bits to their MO (Riddler with his clues, Zsaz with his crime scene "artistry", Scarecrow with his scare tactics, Joker's crimes always having a punchline, etc.), leading to a big convoluted mystery story where *everyone* in Gotham hates this guy and starts gunning for him, with Batman trying to navigate the situation to catch Mr. Camera before any more collateral damage is done.

The great white Shark has a lot of potential I think.
They should make a story set in Arkham in which he controls who goes in and out the asylum. That’d allow him to:
    1. Control criminal activity while being “arrested” so there’s nothing authorities can do to prove he’s behind it. He’d be virtually untouchable and one of the many horrors in the asylum.
    2. Compete with the likes of Black Mask for control of Gotham’s underworld.

    • @WillKarleskint
      @WillKarleskint Před 5 měsíci +7

That defeats the point of his original story though. He went to Arkham because he's a con man who thought it would be easier to manipulate his way out of a mental health institution than prison. But he was wrong, and he's slowly dragged down to everyone else's level.

Dr. No Face's real identity is Bartholomew Magen, a criminal who impersonated a scientist named Dr. Paul Dent. The irony of all is that the doctor's last name is "Dent", just like Harvey Dent a.k.a. Two-Face. It's a very odd coincidence that both Dr. No Face and Two-Face are Batman villains with something related with faces.
To make it worse, there is another Batman villain known as False-Face who uses masks to impersonate others. False-Face appears in the 60's Batman show and in the animated show Batman Beyond.
But that's not all. There are ANOTHER Batman villains called Babyface, who is a grown-up man with the head and face of a baby, and Man Face, who is a woman with the face of a man. Both Babyface and Man Face are exclusive characters from the animated show Batman: The Brave and The Bold.
And then there is ANOTHER character called Three Face whose real name is Evelyn "Eve" Dent, a heroic female counterpart to Two-Face in Earth-Three (not the main DC continuity universe).
I also have to mention Clayface who, while he is a complete shapeshifter, the original Clayface (Basil Karlo) was just a crazy actor wearing a mask that kills other actors.

His cunning combined with his general lack of aptitude is what constitutes the danger he represents to himself and others. Some villain reinventions:
1.) Calendar Man: a former Gotham City Historian/Librarian who runs a group “Calendar Cult” where there’s 365 members of his cult representing each day of the year. He is a Nostradamus type figure who has a “prophecy” of sorts and it is up to Batman and the reader to decide if the crimes being committed in Gotham are Calendar Man’s doing or he was genuinely able to prophesies it. You could maybe throw in elements of the Holiday Killer from the Long Halloween with different crimes for each holiday. Also he could do crimes that teach history lessons of Gotham where they thematically tie to Gotham’s past (“On This Day…”)
    2. Doctor XX: a punk rock style drug dealer who utilizes an LSD type substance that allows users to astral project.
    3. Ten Eyed Man: a former war vet who was blinded in battle. He then was gifted a military suit that looks similar to his traditional suit but the eyes on the suit are actually drone tech that he can control with his fingers/hand movements. The drones allow him to see with “Ten Eyes” and from ten different angles. You could also have it where him losing his sight heightened his other senses. He’ll essentially be like Punisher, Daredevil, and Doc Ock rolled into one.
    4. Egghead: oh yeah, I’m going there. Instead of him being obsessed with eggs, his backstory revolves around him being a relative/descendant to the House of Faberge. He is obsessed with finding the missing Faberge eggs as he feels he is owed his families legacy.

The Eraser: The son and potential heir of a giant cleaning company, he was a perfectionist with a dose of OCD, very germaphobic as well (he also lacked empathy). he was snubbed out of being the CEO and fell into severe drug abuse in his young adult years. he turned on the TV one time to see a News Report, apparently, the main cause of criminals getting caught was because they didn't cover their tracks much, seeing this he decides to volunteer in the criminal underworld, he serves as a cleaner who gets rid of evidence from crime scenes (Like cleaning blood, finger prints, and dissolving bodies with chemicals). He gains a name for himself, making tons of side money from his criminal hustle, seeing this he decides to rebrand accordingly. he wears a clean yellow-black (vertical) suit with matching grey pants, he also has pink hair with pink shaded glasses (his Internet profile picture is his orginal design by the way). He is a worthy foe for batman because he sometimes haults his detective work.
The Bad Samaritan: (Context: this was inspired by a Solid JJ comment, things are about to get petty..)
He is the rival of Bruce Wayne, he believes he is as bad as the other Wayne and Arkhams that came before him, so he decides to bully him and prank him constantly. He is an absolute prick and will do anything to get what he wants. Later down in life, he becomes a prosecutor, and a successful one at that. Then it happened, there was a leak from the media and Bruce was accused of massive corruption, he takes the case as Bruce prosecutor (This is his chance to get back at him once again), weeks go by, the case sometimes got heated or intense, but ultimately, bruce was decided to be not guilty. He was absolutely furious about this, and a few days later, he breaks into Wayne Manor to dig up dirt on him, he proceeds to accidentally reveal a hidden door which leads to the Batcave, he is absolutely stunned, and is shocked, "Atleast i can expose to everyone that Bruce is Batman!" He thought.
Suddenly, BANG!, He fell to the ground, Alfred Pennyworth has killed him with a shotgun, he thought he was an intruder. he pulls out the mask from his body only to be shocked that it's Bruce Prosecutor all along.
Meanwhile, in hell, he is absolutely furious, he decides to man up and go to Lucifer himself. he sits down with him and they proceed to negotiate a deal for 6 hours straight (he has a degree in Law afterall), they finally reached a deal. basically, he decides to CURSE the ENTIRE Wayne Blood Line, he also has put a curse on Wayne Manor. he comes back to life, as a ghost that can interact with objects, he decides to use the Nickname "The Bad Samaritan". He now Haunts Wayne Manor 24/7, he is a prick and is very annoying + Petty. A few of his daily antics are: Pulling out the wheels of the batwheel, Putting gum on the bottom of the table, clogging the toilet, making the shower extremely hot or cold, occasionally flickering the lights, Sharing insanely long monologues, etc. He is Alfreds arch nemesis. When the Batfamily is later introduced, they will also have to deal with him in the manor. His pettiness rivals the Reverse Flash.

Hold on, wait a minute. Cryonic Man was first introduced in 1984, Mr Freeze´s Heart of Ice Origin with Nora first aired in 1992. Did Freeze steal from Crynoic Man, if so your comment about him copying Freeze´s homework seems even more ironic. Also I feel what most people forget about a lot of these more silly villains, especially characters like the Eraser for excample is that they were made around a time where the comics essentially were only made to make new villains for the Batman 60s show with Adam West, as well as during a time were comicbooks were just a rather silly media, turtle Jimmy Olsen as the best excample.

My pick is Condiment King, not because the character is lame (honestly I wouldn't even count the gag villains, being silly and ineffective is the entire point) but because it's lame that he keeps coming back. He was someone the Joker brainwashed and put in a stupid costume, playing him as a guy who genuinely thinks fighting with condiments is a good idea is missing the point imo.
