    Calatheas are also called “prayer plants”, because they always pray that you give them enough water and sunlight in a timely manner.

      Glad to hear. I have lots more venus flytrap videos coming out, one by one breakdown of the main grow aspects like light requirements (the watering, seed growing, and feeding are already posted), a remake of my basic care guide, and the soonest ones to be uploaded will be "one by one breakdowns" of flytrap dormancy questions.

    How do you feel about the MiracleGro sticks you drive into the soil? I’ve been doing that with my small rubber tree, and I worry it will break some roots. Am I being a worry-wart? (A little off-topic, sorry!)

      Im not sure which one you're referring to by "wwrm and red". Yescom has a solid red, which is no good. A Blue, red, orange, and white which is ok. And a red and blue which is good.

    Do the LED grow lights with red and blue mixture work well and would it be 12 hours still? How often do you fertilize your plants? Lastly, if it’s newly repotted do u wait to fertilize?

    I over watered my Marantz prayer plant. It's been a week and a half snd still pretty wet. Th e leaves are drying out and dying. What can I do to save it?

    • @TheBonsaiJungle
      @TheBonsaiJungle  Před 2 lety +1

      If I ever notice I overwatered any plant I just stick it in front of a box fan for 2-3 hours and repeat if needed. This not only dries the soil but sucks the moisture out of the leaves

    My leaves are so tiny ):
    Its a cutting from a 45 year old plant my grandma got when my uncle was born and I Can. Not. Kill it. 😅 the Nug Marantha must pull through.
    Why would the leaves be so tiny?

    • @TheBonsaiJungle
      @TheBonsaiJungle  Před 3 lety +2

      It can happen sometimes with cuttings if they are small or are have not set out enough roots to support larger leaves. As long as you keep it slightly moist and in decent light (but not enough to burn it) it should pull through. When it develops a larger set of roots, you should start fertilizing it and with the influx of nutrients it will grow as normal.

      @@TheBonsaiJungle ive had this particular one for about a year. The pot she gave it to me in seems too big and the soil eont drain. Its one of those pots with two parts. Gonna repot it tomorrow and see if that helps.

    How often do i water my prayer plant in november

    • @TheBonsaiJungle
      @TheBonsaiJungle  Před 2 lety

      Indoors the temp doesn’t change much, but the light gets reduced if they’re by a window. It’s impossible to give you an exact schedule since there’s so many factors like pot sizes, specific geographic location, etc. but essentially you just reduce how often you water over the winter assuming the daylight hours are shorter and your house is slightly colder. Still keep them moist and water them again once the top layer of soil is drying out.
