As a cop, I own, and carry, a Glock 17 as my duty gun, and a G26 for off duty. I love my Glocks. I also own an FMK 9C1 G2, and I am a big fan, and I trust it to sit in my nightstand for things that go bump in the night.
Does the glock 19 slide fit the FMK frame? Hoping for an upgrade for mine! Thank you

Bought a FMK GC1 last year, liked it so much I bought another one yesterday cause it was on sale at local gun store. Also visited the FMK office cause it's near my house, and I had a slight problem with my first one which they fixed no problem, no questions asked. Very great customer service at FMK too...Love the video Sootch 👍

You should do a side by side comparison with an SDV9 VE or SR9 instead of a Glock since those are both considered to be budget guns

I have a FMK 9C1 Gen 2 I have put 3500 rounds with only 4 fail to eject and I agree with you it is one of the most comfortable guns to shoot and the take down lever is hard to grip on, that is why I'm going to make my own to replace it. Thank you for a honest review.

Thank you for a fair and honest review, as always. The price point sure makes the FMK interesting. If they made a .22 variant, they could probably compete with the issc .22 as well because Glock has chosen not to after that market. I was unaware of the early Glock 42 issues so I will definitely take that into consideration. In a market where corporate sponsorship sometimes obscures product reviews, I am so happy you are able to produce these videos without corporate endorsements.

Forgot to mention, the FMK is a second strike capable weapon is my understanding whereas the Glocks aren't. That correct?

Sooch, I've always found white or red words on the rear plate to interfere with acquiring the sights because my eyes want to read the words. did you find any problems with that on the FMK?
I love your reviews. Great job. I have a question, have you got a chance to use Steyr M9 A1? If you did, how would you compare it to the Glock 19? And would you recommend to buy Steyr?
The Glock's Finish has always been a parkerized cosmetic top coat, the tenifer in the older ones is the heat treating process used on the slides to harden them. When it was changed they switched to a slightly different nitrocarburizing method dubbed "Tenifer 2" for treating the slides, even still it has a parkerized cosmetic topcoat as a finish. So it's pretty much a "Meloniting" process, with a parkerized finish.
The FMK strikes my fancy... I must admit that I have been spoiled with guns that have great fit and finish, and the FMK is missing that. It seems to function excellently, however. If I could snag one out the door for say, 400 even... I would say deal! Part of a purchase, for me, does include form. I want a gun that that performs reliably, and looks good doing it. That said, I plan to snag a couple of these in FDE and Gray.

I bought the FMK and I liked it but I really liked after I upgraded the trigger. Much better after the upgrade. Good pistol for the price.
Thanks for this! Helped get me over the hump to nabbing the FMK recently (on sale @$260)... Put the 804 trigger on it (+$62) and have now been out w shooting twice - 300+ rounds so far with zero issues. Btw, Hogue G19 grip fits great, makes a perfect fit for my hands.

Is this gun still functioning well? I want to get 1 because my wife is able to rack the slide with her limited hand functions. Also what is your opinion on a g19 with a lighter recoil spring vs this gun. Thanks from Sav. Ga

I lost it when you dual wielded them,such flawless operating.
I bought two, one to mod and play with and one Gen 3 to keep stock.
I was just shooting it this past weekend and I'm constantly amazed at how well it just works. It doesn't fit my hand as well as my XD or PPQ, but despite feeling a bit awkward it...just works. Bullets go where they should, everything feeds in it, the trigger is consistent, lightweight and holds 15+1.
I'm glad to hear the FMK did well for you. Hopefully they have the bugs ironed out now.

I actually really like this fmk. I haven't held one of seen on in person even, but from what I can tell by your very detailed video! that it seems to be a pretty legit side arm, and I love the patriotism, I have recently also discovered the "honor guard". from honor defence, as well as the bersa BP9 polymer concealed carry! those also seem to be very nice.

I've had my 9C1 GEN2 FMK 9MM for approximately 2 years now. I'm very impressed with it. I'm curious though. In this video at 5:58 mark the magazine from the FMK pops out fast. Mine however, does not. When I push the mag release button it only pops out just a bit and I have to reach up and pull it out the rest of the way. I was told that because I purchased it here in SoCal (Socialist California) it was a government ordered safety feature. Does anyone know if that's true?
I wonder if the trigger connector from the glock will work on the FMK. They look very similar and it would be nice if you could install one of the lighter aftermarket types.

I almost bought an fmk but wrote off the idea bc it had a commifornia 10-round mag. I think its truly an overlooked pistol. The build quality is exceptionally good.
FMK also makes a 14 and 17 round magazine for their 9mm pistols that you can buy as long as you don't live in commiefornia.

I own both of these handguns. Both are very good. Just make sure you use quality ammo and you will never have any trouble. FMK is an American company based in California. If you call them, an American citizen will answer the phone and help you with any problems you may have but the product. I've never had to do that.

How do you think the FMK matches up with the TP9 V2 and the TP9 SF, being that the price points and purpose of use are about the same for all three guns?

Seen a lot of reviews of the FMK slide not fully cycling and locking into place after a round is fired.

I just purchased my FMK 9C1 G2 the other day. After 300 rds no hiccups whatsoever. I love it and shoot it even better than my G19

If I recall, the Glock G-3 has a single capture guide rod , and the G-4 has a double capture guide rod?

I am glad you are having a good experience with your FMK. My experience wasn't so good. It was in fact awful. I sold it after screwing with it for 750 rounds. It was also a Gen 2. I would buy a used Glock before buying another FMK. I really wanted it to be a good one. It wasn't.
Having the same problem with my Canik SF. All I hear are good things about them, but I must have a lemon or something. I absolutely love the gun...but only when it functions
@Wicked Ridge change the recoil spring if it keeps up or try different mags as a lot of mags are the reason for this also
I don't like the extra long ejector because that spells problems to me & a chamber indicator is so unnecessary. Great review though & look forward to testing one myself.

But Glock is a pro American company. Not like Nike who endorses people that hate America. Like Colin Kaepernick. I own many Glocks. All my Nike stuff I took to Goodwill.

Sootch,I am curious...It appears the weight was a few tenths of an ounce more on the FMK opposed to the Glock, yet the slide appears beveled (?) which logically with less metal, should cut weight...Do you know what is bringing the weight up those 0.7(?) ounces?
Good question. Maybe the magazines weigh more and the over molded back strap. We'll look into it some more. Thanks.
One advantage for glocks are the interchangeable magazines. I don't know of any other pistol that has that. JM2C

However no you cannot use glock anything except sights and holsters
Nice video. Unfortunately I have a 9mm FMK gen2 and it jams way too often to be trusted. I have a Glock 17 that never jams and a Walther .22 that rarely jams. I was hoping that the FMK would work well because it’s a California made gun.
If you haven't gotten with FMK customer service, do so, they are awesome to deal with. Bought one and had problems with it not going fully into battery and they had me a replacement leaf spring at my house in two days.
The FMK looks like the Glock 19 and the HK VP9 had a love child...
Feels like the hk.. Just got the FMK. It honestly feels more comfortable than a G19 G4.. Loathe the grooves in the grip.
I had one in 40 call. Had issues with stove piping. When it worked it was the best ..sorry to say I had to let it go
Glock is sTop-Shelf Tier One gun product but the FMK firearm is one of your better quality budget guns.

Have the OD GREEN model, buyer beware 200 rnds of UMC 115 grain ammo FMK recommends and every 4th rnd will not go into battery, have to hit it into battery.

What about holster options
It looks more like the Ruger American than it does a Glock. I would like to shoot one but I don't think I would spend the money on it. There are to many better choices out there. Another informative video Don. Keep them coming.

We should never worry about price until we look at value... I have a 9C1. Let's see, FTE at least once every mag and occasional stove pipe after 600+ rounds. I did notice today that a bag of reloads (~100 rounds) worked flawlessly while two boxes of Fiocchi FTE'd pretty regularly??? you would think would be the other way around... The trigger pull is a mile long so accuracy suffers since I forget what I am doing by the time the round discharges.... I bought a Springfield WD 9MM today, I will either sell the FMK to a good home or give it to my son.... I did fire a Bersa 380 yesterday and found a sweet little pistol that, other than the .380, would be a very nice CC.. I really want FMK to succeed but there certainly needs to be some attention paid to improving the performance of this firearm...
