Anyone else like VGG videos before they watch?
Always! 👍👍👍
Yes Sir
I mean its not like a guys gonna be disappointed
Not even 2 seconds in, I always hit the like button. Always have, always will.
Yes and your comment too
"...get this thing shinin' like a salt lick in a pasture." That's a good one Derek!
at 22 minutes... Derek spoke the absolute truth. I am not as poor as I was growing up but I am still saving everything. I need to stop because I have stuff in my parts pile that are 30 years old and will never be used.
I have a storage unit so when I clean out my garage, I don’t have to throw anything away 😂
Throw it away 2 days before you need it 😂
I can just imagine driving that car on Wisconsin’s back roads, sunroof open, bliss. What a beautiful machine. Thanks Derek. Love both of your channels.
Will all the bullshit on the news, shootings, politicians, etc. its very refreshing to just sit and watch Derek in VGG. Thank You Derek, your the best !
Amen brother!!!!
I don't bother watching that madness anymore, its done a feller good too.

Yup, I feel for America right now, so much weird shit going on.
My part of the world isn't much better tbh. To spend an hour of chill watching VGG is a much needed distraction right now. Love this channel!
you're*
I love VGG so much.... I work overseas as a contractor and started watching Derek's videos in 2020 by accident because I was bored and came across them while scrolling through CZcams.... I've been hooked every since and they have kept entertained while I have been overseas being home sick..... Inspired me to buy farm find 1993 Silverado pickup from auction that needed to be brought back around... My youngest daughter now daily drives it.... I credit VGG for inspiring me to take a chance and go save an old ride.... Thank you, Derek.... Just keep being awesome
I started watching a couple weeks ago and I've seen a bunch. First word out of his mouth I knew he was from Minnesota 😂
Awesome!!!
I just started and love binge watching lol great stuff
I spent 6 years working as a military contractor. I lived in the Middle East, Italy, Germany and Guam. I know what you mean when you say homesick brother. Keep pushing and watching VGG. It helped me too
I remember taking groceries out for a lady that just purchased one . I said wow what a beautiful car !! (I think it may have been in metallic gold ? ) She said"" every thing has digital read outs , go sit behind the wheel and check it out " She let me start the car too. That was so cool ! Beautiful interior and very comfortable .
I'll never forget that!
Thanks, Derrick. I've enjoyed all your videos, and my dad & step dad would have too .I like how you think things out and your sense of humor.
I wish the best to you and your family .

I absolutely adore the Imperial. It’s got a slightly awkward appearance but to me that is the best about it. She really wanted to shine and run again and boy did you do a great job with her Derek. I would really consider keeping this old girl ya know. There’s something special about her.
I love how Derek jokes around about himself, but this young man is a boss. Very talented young man that takes care of his family.
I love his vocabulary lol
Thanks so much!

Young? Huh..
Wow. O'Reilly's marketing team is absolutely killing it. I never watch ads. But these ones with Derek I haven't skipped once. That new one is really good.
I have yet to see one!
Me too
They got your lightning cubes , sparkolaters , wix , fuel makemhappeners…..
I’ll watch ads all day long just so Derek can eat
Yeppers, the only ads I don't mind seeing. I just don't get why my local O' Reilly doesn't have ad posters in the windows with Derek on them. He is the spokesperson and my local place didn't even know who he is when I asked.
I HATED these things when they came out but watching Derek bring this one back around has given me a new appreciation for them. All cool, quirky, wacky, etc cars need saving
I watched you pull this out and get it running again and bring it home. And now I've seen you bring it back to life to her beauty again. I love these that you take and show us from start to finish. I hope that someone buys us and drives it daily. I have no use for trailer queens. I think all vehicles just want to live and work and be driven. That is a beautiful vehicle. Thank you!
"When you grow up poor, you save everything" truer words have never been spoken! I am no longer dirt poor but the trauma and borderline hoarding instinct is still very prevalent in my life. Like I CAN afford a funnel but that cut in half juice container is just perfect, and has a built in handle.
This is a very true statement
so true .. when i was working my way through school i survived many days on honey packets from BK and mcdernalds …. i let nothing go to waste becisse of those days ..
Poor people have poor ways
sometimes, that is the best type of funnel for the job. Especially for really dirty stuff that you don't want to have to clean up after. I always keep a few empty gallon jugs from washer fluid, etc. Mostly to cut and use as funnels. Not something I need often, but they sure do come in handy on those rare occasions that I need one.
The problem with buying a funnel is that you then have to remember where you left it. search for 10 minutes give up and cut open a jug use it and turn around and see the funnel you were searching for
Yeah baby! VGG on Friday...one of only a few right things in the world.
Nailed it
The ones who would want these nice things to end are being forced into the light. Very nice and well meaning comment, I agree completely.
Is it sad that my wife knows this WILL happen? I get a few extra cold snacks and she accepts it :)
Derek is a real pro at fixing cars and making it fun to watch. His hard work and down-to-earth style make every video a treat for gearheads and newbies alike. That is a might fine looking car after the shine!
The honesty of these videos is refreshing. Working on these old cars can be challenging, painful and rewarding all at the same time. That really comes through with Derek’s ‘charm’. I would have been a nice guy and put a new gas tank sender in after all that work, but I can see that might not be easy to get back in a flip sale. Really enjoy seeing the follow-up of a rescue.
I consider Imperials overlooked classics! All were built in limited numbers as they were expensive cars in their day. I grew up in the '60's. The free standing headlights were unique and a nod to the earlier Imperials designs of the '30's.
Thanks Derick for spotlighting a late model classic car and bringing it back to life. Your efforts are appreciated!
The LeBarons in mid 70ies were a nice car for a midsize
The Imperial you have is a beautiful car. The crystal hood ornament is still intact. That car deserves to be restored and placed in a museum. It's a last gasp by Chrysler for a truly luxurious car. Save it, preserve it. Thank you.
I agree
Agree, very rare car
My great aunt had the previous gen - white exterior with baby blue more cushy than your couch leather interior IIRC. It was cool, but when they brought out this style with all the crisp lines - I was in love!!!
WOW !! A KEEPER
😮it is still better looking than most of the now a day cars❤
What I find best in VGG is that the kids see the old man working, and they are encouraged to work on their own projects.
Omg Derek this turned out so beautiful. The paint color came back. She's a real going to town rig and a cruise worthy ride for sure. A fella should be proud to be able to drive her anywhere.
I like the "Sound Effects" that Derek adds when he works on things
Ya gotta chant some tribal sounds when you're lifting something heavy.
@@tezzrterry7485 from the Blazing Saddles Tribe

I really like this Imperial. Thanks for rescuing it. You do great work.
In all the chaos and insanity, I can rely on VGG vids to be entertaining, wholesome, and informative. Thank you Derek for all that you do.
My dad had this model car, but a very light yellow color. It was a dream to drive and to ride in. His was about 1 year old when he brought it.
As an amateur I'm glad to see that experienced guys can still struggle in figuring out the lever to open the hood 😂
I bought a 2012 Ford Transit connect van and when I went to open the hood, I had to use the owners manual and google to see that the ignition key is used to open the hood.
I've been working on "old" cars for 30 years. I definitely still make mistakes and I know im never too old to learn. If any mechanic tells you thy don't make mistakes, they're full of shyte! 😆
Some are pull. Some push. Off course in random locations. Much easier when you know where to feel. Good times
The best is when I get a BMW to work on and waste 30 minutes fondling the center of the car before I realize the lever is next to the headlight 😅
@@FTRVDennyThat’s just weird, I can’t even blame you, would’ve never thought of it needing that
26:33 I can see old glory waving through the garage door window 👍
I saw that too.
I saw that too. Definitely wasn’t surprised, but nice to see

That’s a really cool looking car. There, I said it. There’s just something about it. I like that it’s different and not something you see everyday. God Bless the VGG family. Such hard workers.
Regarding the gas tank removal - around 1980 I bought a 1972 Buick lesabre my wife drove and the in tank sending unit went out. Being unable to afford having it done and working 7 days a week on end I decided to do it. I layed under it rested the tank on my chest and then got her to the ground and visa versa. Remember my wife coming out when had the tank on my chest saying dinner and finally handing me a pb&j sandwich because she knew I was way too invested to stop 😅.
Hi Derek, I've been watching you and your family for over 3 years, more like 5 years and it was you who got me out of that dark space where I fell rock bottom into depression. Gradually I got better and now fine. Thank you for yourvskill and humour especially when you're driving a rig back from oblivion to a runner.
Glad you got well. I like watching Derek while enjoying chocolate chip cookies. Every time. Don't ask me why.
Like Derek says brother, keep your chin up and your head down at the same time!! Blessings
It's not just a video, it's like the best popcorn, soda pop show. We know what's to come, gotta hit the like.
you know it. I hit play and just sit back and relax. I could listen to this man talk all day :)
I can see why it grew on you, Derek. Every bit of work you did to it, the car responded with a positive vibe like it was just saying "Bring it on! Lemme show you what I can be!"....and boy doesn't she look great! Beautiful colour - and those pinstripes just make it something special. I'd be proud to be out and about in something like that. Can it be improved? Sure - but she looks a million dollars from 10 feet now and when you're cruising along, that's all that matters. Great example of what can be done to bring a car around with a bit of physical effort, some time and - crucially - with little money. Awesome job, mate! All the best from here in New Zealand.
I was working at a Chrysler dealership bodyshop when these cars came out and was laughing when Derik was installing the the grille, thanks for memories VGG
Aaah Little Grip we love you. "Can you crank this while my arm goes numb?" Bentley starts cranking, no questions asked. What a legend that kid is.
Also....we don't hear a lot from Bradley, but he appears to know his way around the CNC table. I hope Bayley is getting some skills as well.
Thank you for all you do. Mr. Bieri. May God Bless America. May God Bless you and your entire family.
It's hard to word the happiness I have seeing 1+ hour episodes. Saves me from boredom at power shedding times. Thank you so much for your hard work!
I think this is now my favorite car you have done! I love purple, and that color came out GREAT! Enjoy!
Love the Stars and Stripes blowing in the breeze outside the garage

I’m so glad to see the imperial again this was one of my favorite episodes!
I always like the look of the 1982 -83 Chrysler Imperial
She cleans up right nicely. I could see myself cruisin' this rig around town. Great job Derek. 👍👍
Luv these 'Follow-Up' episodes. I guy kinda gets to wonderin' what happens to all those revival cars and its nice to see some of them get cleaned-up !
Agreed! Cleaned up, sold, given away in a raffle, whatever. I really appreciate the follow ups just the same.
Beautiful car and a great job bringing her back. Loved them when they came out new, just could not afford one, great memories. I am 90 now and still love the style. Thank you for the trip back in time.

Picked some Blackberries, listened to CCR all day and now some VGG. Can't be any better of a Friday.
Well done sir. May God Bless you and keep you and your family.
Nothing better then picking and eating berries in the summer time
This one made my heart happy! Those old Chrysler cars never get a second chance people dump on them even tho we know they weren’t the greatest cars you have showed us that there are some worth saving, I’m a fan of those cars and now I’m out looking for one to put back on the road! Thank you! Keep wrenching
I really enjoyed this "Imperial" saga. All of it. I hope to see more of theselong-term stories. Thank you muchly.
Being from England most of the cars are unknown to me, it's great to see these old Yank tanks for the first time, The seats are so different and look a lot better from our old ones.
Thanks Derek and family 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Me too! I live in Denmark, and all I know of US classic cars is what I have learned from YT channels like VGG. The other day, though, I walked past a driveway and did a double take: Guy tinkering with a 1968 Pontiac GTO convertible! I asked for permission to come in, and we talked cars over a beer for an hour... Don't tell me you can't learn anything from YT :)
It like sitting on a leather couch!
That “Pimp Daddy” sticker on the back window HAS TO STAY!!! It totally suits that rolling sofa! 😂
Obviously, a lot of girls lost their virginity in that rolling sofa, as the previous owner was 16 when he got it. 😂
Yes.
"Don't know what ya heard about me, but I'm a mother******g P-I-M-P..." blasting out the speakers as she drives past.
Derek - great transformation!
Just goes to show what a little elbow grease and determination can do to restore an old forgotten ride to its original glory days. 😊
My brother had a Dodge Mirada the same, and the same color. He was so proud of that car.
" Alabama credit card " hilarious 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Haha that one had me laughing too
And the fuel recylcle in the weeds out behind the shop. 😂😂
“Salt lick in a pasture.” 😂😂😂
Good ole country metaphors!
what a cool esoteric reference that proves Derek is "ONE OF US"
Some of the best metaphors and metafives out there!!
After being one of the first UK subscribers when Del Boy was rolling around on the dirt floor of his first garage I watched a full episode for the first time in a long time and was mighty impressed by the content - what a lovely car this is and what a shame they are no longer made for us to buy new these days! Brought this rig back from the dead. Del seems to have come a long way since the dusty days too! Well done son!
I can't believe no one commented on the rear plate! (at least that I seen) As a LEO and fellow CZcamsr I appreciate seeing little things like this in your videos! Gives me some hope for humanity seeing things like this! Thank you for your support of all first responders, active military and Veterans. Would be an honor to Collab with you one day on a project or 2.67! Upmost most respect to you sir!
My theory is that without cameras and youtube, Derek would be out there talking and bsing to his invisible buddies lol 😂
LOL I agree!
Does a bear shit in the woods? Does Derek act the same way when the camera is off?
I've said the same thing!
No camera = raving lunatic
Cameras = CZcams Genius
But I want to believe he would act the same by himself.
I imagine it went something like this:
Somebody was hanging around him while he worked and couldn't stop bustin' out laughing. Told him he oughta make videos, and the rest is history.
He's never alone. He's got His Capabilities!🎉
I love the little Derrick's in a background.Making a noise and donor jobs you can't make this stuff up.That is a sweet core brother
Definitely a nice looking older imperial, can’t be too many of those roaming around anymore. Glad the old girls playing nice. Nice to see the whole VGG Family working together.
Vice Grip President anyone? All foreign dignitaries have to meet in the garage to solve world issues by working to rebuild something. Derek for Vice President!
Gotta say, when that tank jumped out at him and he dodged, ducked, dipped, dove and dodged, I was dyin'. 😂😂
Man, the front end of that Imperial is really stylin'. What a beauty!
Man you do such a good job. The hours and let's be honest sacrifices you make to put these videos out and do this constantly is incredible. Sorry if this sounds like AKing but, I've been watching you for 4 years now and it just amazes me how much you love this stuff and just live and breathe it everyday. I'm sure you've heard this before but THANK YOU
I, too, like this car for some reason! I think it's a combination of the maroon color, the wheel & tire combination, the eye pleasing classic long hood/short deck styling, and the fact that back in the day, it was a "top of the line" personal cruising car. I guess. I just like it. Oh, and probably the glass hood ornament! I remember seeing them in parking lots back then, and always thought they were a neat touch!
Hello from franklin Ky. Enjoyed your videos for yrs. Love the way you show your children the how to,s .
The Imperial has definitely been one of my favorite cars on this channel. I was very much looking forward to seeing it again, it looks great!
I love those body style Chryslers ! Easy electronic ignition system to swap out for easier system! Lean Burn was replaced on my brother’s 78 Dodge Magnum
It's great to see Derek work on something that I was in the passenger seat along for the ride back home ( not physically). I really like the Imperial's rear section. Simple yet elegant at the same time.
I like the tail lights.
Derek, when are we gonna see the return of your brother ?
I laughed so hard when you two were working together... You having fun... Him looking at you like you've completely lost your mind. Hilarious !!
Thanks for letting me hang out with you for a bit. I really appreciate it.
The choice of music in this episode is SO perfect for this car

Derek you are possibly the most nicest person I have ever seen. I love that you call spark plugs.... Sparkler laters😊keep up the good work x
O'Reilly's marketing team is absolutely killing it)))
Derek I loved watching you pick up this car and I am so glad you went the extra mile to get it running right, use the fuel tank instead of gas cans and cleaned up the outside so nice. This is definitely a car to keep, I love the sinister look of the front (reminds me of the possessed car in the movie "The Car"), and it has a lot of history as Chrysler pioneered many new things (many of which did not work), and lastly old "Blue eyes" himself Frank Sinatra promoted the car to help Chrysler and got one of the first off the line (only to be abandoned after breaking down!). I love this car so I wish you the best, take care, bless you and your family!
Strap the gas tank to a tractor wheel and have one of the boys drive around for half an hour. Works great.
Cement mixer works too
I’ll tell you, a guy loves coming home from work on Friday and clicking on vgg to see what a fella has going on for a project! Love your stuff Derek and the name lol
Payday is cool, but knowing I have Derek to share my cold snacks with is a huge part of getting home on Friday.
A 45 yr old Imperial from Pennsylvania with an underbody in that condition is a miracle. I’ve never seen anything like that before.
After seeing the first VGG video on this car I found the story on the "Sinatra Imperial" and found it fascinating! Quite a peace of automotive history!!

Great video, I have a quick question. I am an aspiring trader, I am looking study some traders and earn off their expertise rather than investing myself and lose money emotionally. Whats your take on copy trading? Do people really make money? Just looking for some reassurance.
Thank you!
Focus on long term investments in property, stocks, and bonds. Avoid copying, daytrading and 'chart astrology'. Diversify across different geographies, industries, and value chain stages - to reduce your risk. You can do this with ETFs, or by selecting different stocks yourself. This is the best way to invest for more than 90% of people
Even with the right technique and assets some investors would still make more than others, as an investor, you should’ve known that by now, nothing beats experience and that’s final, personally I had to reach out to a market analyst for guidance which is how I was able to grow my account close to a million, withdraw my profit right before the correction and now I’m buying again.
How can I participate in this? I sincerely aspire to establish a secure financial future and am eager to participate. Who is the driving force behind your success?
ANGELA LYNN SCHILLING' is her name. She is regarded as a genius in her area and works for Empower Financial Services. She’s quite known in her field, look-her up.
