      I'm on vacation in Barbados. I Co-wash during the week while swimming. I use Cantu Co-wash but my hair is natural. Regular conditioner as Co-wash makes my scalp itch. I shampooed this week with with Olaplex #4 and apply a mixture of Olaplex #5, Aphogee 2 minute and Cantu deep treatment masque. I need the mixture to protect my hair from the sun and salt water.

    Soooo i don’t cowash and I’m NOT relaxed but our hair loves a lot of the same products and processes! I pre poo with oil and aloe Vera, then I use conditioner as my first step in the shower or to detangle, then i shampoo and follow with deep conditioner. I like the HE Rose Hip, and all other HE “natural” conditioners and shampoos, awesome slip and good ingredients. I also like Aussie moist conditioners and 3 minute miracles. I also enjoy the Garnier Fructis deep conditioners they come in the jars. Those are my staple conditioners, i also like HE Hello Hydration.

      @@mrod87 I'm natural and I do Co-wash. Usually after swimming and excessive sweating. I'm on holiday in Barbados so this happens every day! Lol! I use the Cantu Co-wash and the Cantu rinse out conditioner for 5 minutes. If I go back to relaxed hair I would probably use almost the same products. They keep my hair moisturised and healthy and my scalp itch free! Plus I need to really stretch my relaxers because my hair is very fine and easily over processed. I use Cantu, Aphogee and Olaplex in rotation. As I am Hydration Elation is my favourite protein-free deep conditioner. My stylers would obviously be different.

      I have high porosity fine hair with a sensitive scalp. Using regular rinse out conditioner always made my scalp itch from 2009!. So I use Cantu Co-wash. Try to find a specially made Co-wash. I know Keracare, Shea Moisture, As I Am, , Pantene, Aussie moist and Renpure do specific products that say "Co-wash" or "cleansing conditioner" on the front label of the bottle. But a small/trial/travel size first to see if you get any reaction. Alway rinse your scalp thoroughly.

    Hi! I love your videos and tips. Aussie Miracle Moist is amazing! I have been relaxed for 2 weeks now after being natural for almost 5 yrs. I am currently sitting under the dryer with Keracare Humecto conditioner. Once I rinse it out I set my hair on flexirods on Wednesdays and Sundays (wash days). What I realized today is my curls are just dropping by the time wash day comes around. I am thinking about washing once a week. Question, does heat from the hooded dryer damage air.? It takes my hair about 2hrs to dry with the flexirods. Thanks again for your videos!

    • @trinivonie4230
      @trinivonie4230 Před 2 lety +2

      I was relaxed for 19 years, then Natural for 4 years and back Relaxed now 4 years. So I feel inclined to reply to this comment. In my opinion heat always causes damage to our hair if heat protection products are not used. They act as barrier between the hair & the heat.
      If you're wet setting your hair I would use a cream based or foam based products. The products must say they provide heat protection and hold is optional. For example, I love Silk Elements Coconut Heat protection cream and Texture ID Mulyi-Stlying foam. Both products provide heat protection. These products are sold at Sally Beauty. I hope this info helps.

    Hi Val, love your videos! When my hair stylist did my relaxer 3 weeks ago she under processed the middle of the hair shaft to the ends in some sections. Would you go back to stylist to do a corrective relaxer, cut it off, or be gentle and work with it? When I wear the flexirod set you can't tell. However it is a bit annoying to comb through on wash days. I don't mind cutting it off and starting over.

    Okay so I have relaxed hair and I get my hair done once a month but I’m starting to get it done once every two weeks but when I get it done after like the third day it loses all it volume and become pin straight and when I moisturize it my hair becomes slick and greasy so am I doing something wrong like wrapping bad or something. Oh and I don’t know how to use a flat or curling iron.😔

    • @marleyhill34
      @marleyhill34 Před 3 lety

      How often do you have the relaxer applied? It sounds like overprocessing. Alternate with a protein conditioner like Aphogee 2 minute every other week. When I had relaxed hair it would be super straight but that took all the volume out. Stretch your relaxer to 12 weeks until your hair gets it strength, body and volume back.

    Heyy, so like when you should relax your hair but can't like can i use the last product + any oils? Also i saw you mention Keracare detangling shampoo so i can use that and the last product on my wash days?. Sorry, one more question but how can i deep condition without using the head thing? Thank youuu & God bless x

      For deep conditining: A wet hot towel from the microwave and a plastic bag for 30 mins.

      @@tima2553 oh ok. I use the cantu Co-wash for my scalp mainly and then the regular cantu for naturals conditioner for 3-5 minutes and then rinse. Then apply my leave ins. The regular cantu hydrating cream conditioner comes in salon size of 24oz! That would probably last me a whole year! Unfortunately the 10 oz is the only size for the co-wash. I can't use regular conditioner on my scalp so I have to look for specially made Co-wash and the cantu is the cheapest I've found. US Dollars $4.99. Most of the other co-washes, cleansing conditioners, conditioning cleansers are more expensive.

    Have faith in JESUS CHRIST as LORD and SAVIOR for HE SAVES ❗️
    *What is the Gospel?*
    The true gospel is the good news that God saves sinners. Man is by nature sinful and separated from God with no hope of remedying that situation. But God, by His power, provided the means of man’s redemption in the death, burial, and resurrection of the Savior, Jesus Christ.
    Ephesians 2:8-9
    For it is by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of GOD, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
    Romans 10:9
    9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
    JESUS CHRIST can come anytime!
    Just Believe ❤️ Love you and GOD BLESS

    Hello My hair is growing but I am having trouble it's breaking and I don't understand. I wear protective style like weave and get protein treatments at my stylist she does such good job, from me doing Toni Braxton cut almost 2year ago to 15 inch to 16 in between. I am now 2 months post but the lost couple weeks are not easy it's breaking even tho I moisturize it and plot it into 2 parts and wrap it up , remind you I don't comb it or manipulate it I will just catch it up but not comb it maybe 2 times a week . I moisturize it in the plot and keep it in it. I don't know if it was the constant sleek ponytails lost month or me not getting a really deep protein treatment I did light treatment couple weeks beck . I normally start relax it every 3 months , I start that routine from a year now , I do sewing that really grow my hair fast but it seems my hair stay better when put away ? I give it 2 or 3 weeks break then sewing . Can you help me identify what I could be doing wrong ? The breaking isn't like whole handful but it's noticeable. My hair sucks up oils real quick too , it drinks it . So I oil it and put plastic bag over it sometimes when it feels dry and it will look alive after but a little weight down . I feel condition my hair when it's out of sewing a good 30 to hour .
