The 5 Live commentator and Shearer are top class throughout... but how cool was Kelly Kates at the end... massive fan, Kenny's daughter who was Kop end in Istanbul... new respect for the best anchor in sport, TV or radio. Always informed and just transmits her love of the game (and the Reds, especially) effortlessly.
This is why the whole world love to listen to radio commentary rather than tv....radio commentary is still revolutionary
Refreshing to hear a commentary with Alan Shearer put their heart and soul into the game.

It’s June 17th 2019 and it’s my first time hearing this. Loving it! Didn’t realise Alan Shearer is such a good commentator! Soo much better than Gary Neville without a doubt!
Anyone is better than Gary ratboy Neville
I've never seen a set of commentators more spent and exhausted after 90 mins. This was surreal.
it's now May 2021, and I am still listening to this remarkable radio commentary. the last 3 minutes was just pure magic ; thanks to Kelly for just let the crowd singing take over....
Fantastic stuff! Great comentary. Radio peerlessly captures atmosphere and this is a priceless example. Keep 'em coming - Bravo!
How fitting that a former Newcastle player should be so pivotal in this mother of all comebacks... Gave Shearer a little something to bite on. Legendary Anfield night. YNWA
Shearer regularly wrecks my head on MOTD. He was excellent here though. Granted I'm a Liv fan and it'd be hard to mess up commentary on such an incredible performance, doesn't mean he's not good at live commentary on a good game though.
September 11th 2019, still loving this!
Listening to this again tonight. Brilliant. YNWA. This match will live on in my soul forever. Liverpool ♥️🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
I love this commentary. I still get goosebumps
This is how I witnessed this semi final live - on the radio. I wasn't able to watch the match. The reactions and drama are great though. Will never forget the pair of commentators losing their marbles after 'that' corner (just after 1:38:00 in this coverage) to make the score to Liverpool 4:0......YNWA !!!
I watched the first leg in the pub with my old man. We both went home pissed up and pissed off that night.
Then we watched the second leg at home. I'm pretty sure my poor mother thought a war was happening in the front room! 😂😂
5 years on, still get those goosebumps. Absolutely epic commentary.
If this commentary was put with the full game tv broadcast i would tressure that video forever 😘🤞
Who is still listening in September 2019,
I am now💯❤️❤️❤️
Listen to it like once a week
October now.
Doesn't get boring
November 9th, still listening, YNWA
Thank you for putting this up!!!😄😄😄
This is gonna go down in history as the greatest performance ever. This is a team written off by pundits. Down on their luck yet produced a glorious come back
It's only now that it's starting to sink in how incredible that result was for the history of Liverpool FC and winning the UCL
I can die happy..........Ive seen the greatest liverpool team peformance ever.
