I clicked on this video assuming that the guy didn’t want to be the father of a child that wasn’t 100% healthy. That thought made me so sad, but knowing that he loves this baby makes my heart so happy.
I'm a Tennessee girl who fell in love with a Georgia boy. We've been together for 10 years now. He's brought me through cancer twice, I've brought him through open heart surgery, he recently adopted my biological son from a failed marriage, and together we adopted four kids from foster care. There is just something to be said about finding the right one. I'm 38 now and he's 36. It's been tough, but so very worth it!

I'm very surprised no doctor ever explained the genetics of albinism to either of these people. And just having blonde hair and blue eyes doesn't equal being an albino.
Red eyes are a sign of albinism.... There is another condition called Leucism where they lose pigment, but not necessarily all pigment. I believe albinism is considered a type if Leucism.

My albino cousin had orher complications and told she never have kids . She had 3 and of the 3 had two grandchildren. She tried to be normal( which means doing things she shouldn’t do. )

Lukas looks exactly like his father but obviously with albino characteristics. His ears, eyes and face shape especially look like his dad. So happy this turned out the way they wanted it, its obvious he loves his son so much!
I thought he looked like the dad too although the little boy is what my mom used to call "cross eyed." I know that can be fixed with surgery though and sometimes not even surgery but wearing an eye patch over the good eye so they are forced to use the other eye which they have stopped using. I don't think that has anything to do with albinism but another health issue he has. . Several people in my family had that and needed surgery or to wear an eye patch when they were small to correct that.
The worst thing you can do is tell a man he might not be the father of his child. Even if it was said in the heat of a quarrel it sows a seed of doubt that will always negatively affect your relationship.

Why do people get married, leave each other, start a new family with someone else and never get divorced from the first person? I am missing something here.
I know one woman that left her husband when she got strong enough to leave the abuse. She started dating another man, got pregnant. She wasn't ready to be a mother and another friend wanted to adopt. But because of state law her husband was on the Cert. of Live Birth. He, still wanting to hurt her, refused to sign away parental rights to a baby he knew wasn't his. It took 6 months of fighting in the courts to get her divorce and him removed from the Cert. The baby did get adopted and started college last week. The woman and the boyfriend have been married now for 10 years and have 2 other children. The ex-husband was shunned by everyone and ended up leaving the state.
My husband fought me for so long, he had a $200 an hour attorney, and I was in Propria Persona...all because he didn't want to give me any marital assets, eventually the judge gave us a Bifurcated Divorce. ...my ex paid 15 grand to his lawyer, to keep from giving me 5 grand. So divorces aren't always cut and dry, they can be long and drawn out...and if the two people live in different states, it is even more complicated.

Just cried coz went through the same issue, had a blood clot in the brain, sent me into coma for seven days while still pregnant, was told the blood thinners would most likely make me loss my child, or my life. I feel that lady so much and she is strong.
Achie Awiti What blood thinners were you on? I had a pulmonary embolism with my second child. Went to the ER. Got IV heparin for 4 days and then put on Lovenox shots, twice daily, for the rest of the pregnancy. Both are 100% safe in pregnancy and are RECOMMENDED during pregnancy in some cases of IVF or multiple miscarriages. In fact, because of the clot in my second pregnancy, I was told that I'd need the shots for any subsequent pregnancy and ended up taking them for the entirety of my 3rd pregnancy. I'd like to know what type of anticoagulant you (and this woman) received that could have possibly endangered the lives of both mother and child? Was it TPA? Heparins don't cross the placenta. Coumadin can cause birth defects. But what blood thinner threatens the mother? I'm being serious.
I'd like to know too. The woman in the show seems to have been misinformed. I've taken anti-coagulants (two versions of LMWH as well as Heparin) through 5 pregnancies and every time been told it does not cross the placenta.
If I understand it correctly, albinism is a recessive gene carried by both parents . This leaves the child with a 1 in 4 chance of developing the condition. The parents do not have to be albino themselves, just carry that rogue gene
I unfortunately have done it and it potentially ruined our relationship although it was later established he was undoubtedly my son's Father. Women say it to spite the man, usually when they aren't feeling loved or feeling abandoned. It's not excusable but you wanted a reason.

One of my cousins was born with grey eyes but as she got older they turned a light hazel. The only other person in my family with light eyes like that was our grandfather. Everyone's gene pool is so mixed up (whether they want to believe it or not) that we're lucky we aren't born with stripes. :-)
Shalom Queen! I am a black woman that was born with blues eyes and they stayed blue until I was about 4. Then they went hazel for a while and now at 42, they change colours depending on my mood! I was told that WE come in different shades and have different eye colours as well. Remember, we were on Earth first and then came others behind us, so its more common then you think! Gene sequences is complex. I am the only person in my family that has red hair. Everyone else has dark brown hair or light brown hair. My dad denied me for years because I have red hair. It was then explained that I could of inherited the gene from ancestors that were a live centuries ago.

This was the exact case for my little brother. He is “albino” and still no one knows why. We can’t find a connection anywhere. It’s a rare thing that happens.
No one knows why??? It's genetic! To be an albino both parents must carry & the pass on the recessive gene, meaning every child from that couple has a 25% chance of being albino (having 2 albino genes), a 25% chance of being "normal" (no albino gene), & a 50% chance of being a carrier like the parents (having 1 albino gene). There are other conditions that can cause loss of melanin production, but true albinos have no melanin from birth because their body doesn't make it in the 1st place.
There are various forms of albinism. In order to have a child with albinism both parents must be carriers. Due to the brain bleed and seizures her son could also have cortical visual impairment. Likewise with the nystagmus and lack of pigment in the iris he should wear transition eye glasses. I hope he’s receiving vision education services, orientation and mobility, along with physical, occupational, and speech services.
I totally agree. I am visually impaired myself and would be happy to help them out if I could. I hope Ray Lowry is able to connect them with a chapter of her group in Georgia. I think they would really benefit from being in a community with other parents who are in the same boat.

Very light-skinned people who aren't albino are still able to produce some melanin, so they don't suffer from the problems that the absence of it causes (mostly lots of issues with eye development and health, as well as an even higher risk of skin cancer and skin disease in general)
It could be easily verified if they both carried recessive albinism genes or if it is X chromosome / ocular albinism. One would surmise that they would of already determined this in a clinical setting making the paternity questions moot.

Unfortunately his bio dad is not in the picture ,,, but my husband stepped up and raised him like a bio son ! Just cried coz went through the same issue, had a blood clot in the brain, sent me into coma for seven days while still pregnant, was told the blood thinners would most likely make me loss my child, or my life. I feel that lady so much and she is strong.

Got IV heparin for 4 days and then put on Lovenox shots, twice daily, for the rest of the pregnancy. Both are 100% safe in pregnancy and are RECOMMENDED during pregnancy in some cases of IVF or multiple miscarriages. In fact, because of the clot in my second pregnancy, I was told that I'd need the shots for any subsequent pregnancy and ended up taking them for the entirety of my 3rd pregnancy. I'd like to know what type of anticoagulant you (and this woman) received that could have possibly endangered the lives of both mother and child? Was it TPA? Heparins don't cross the placenta. Coumadin can cause birth defects. But what blood thinner threatens the mother? I'm being serious.
I'd like to know too. The woman in the show seems to have been misinformed. I've taken anti-coagulants (two versions of LMWH as well as Heparin) through 5 pregnancies and every time been told it does not cross the placenta.

I unfortunately have done it and it potentially ruined our relationship although it was later established he was undoubtedly my son's Father. Women say it to spite the man, usually when they aren't feeling loved or feeling abandoned. It's not excusable but you wanted a reason.

My mom had 5 kids, I'm the oldest and I was born legally deaf, my 3 brother's and my sister are perfectly fine. It's so heartwarming hearing Mr Reed say he wants to be the father oh thank the good lord he is the father, this episode actually brought tears to my eyes. Lord bless this family

Queen Daniels Cool nothing wrong I've always told ppl black ppl can have different color eyes just like white ppl and other ppl of different races.
One of my cousins was born with grey eyes but as she got older they turned a light hazel. The only other person in my family with light eyes like that was our grandfather. Everyone's gene pool is so mixed up (whether they want to believe it or not) that we're lucky we aren't born with stripes. :-)

Shalom Queen! I am a black woman that was born with blues eyes and they stayed blue until I was about 4. Then they went hazel for a while and now at 42, they change colours depending on my mood! I was told that WE come in different shades and have different eye colours as well. Remember, we were on Earth first and then came others behind us, so its more common then you think! Gene sequences is complex. I am the only person in my family that has red hair. Everyone else has dark brown hair or light brown hair. My dad denied me for years because I have red hair. It was then explained that I could of inherited the gene from ancestors that were a live centuries ago.
That's like me. I have brunette hair (looks extremely red in the summer) and I'm African American.

This was the exact case for my little brother. He is “albino” and still no one knows why. We can’t find a connection anywhere. It’s a rare thing that happens.
No one knows why??? It's genetic! To be an albino both parents must carry & the pass on the recessive gene, meaning every child from that couple has a 25% chance of being albino (having 2 albino genes), a 25% chance of being "normal" (no albino gene), & a 50% chance of being a carrier like the parents (having 1 albino gene). There are other conditions that can cause loss of melanin production, but true albinos have no melanin from birth because their body doesn't make it in the 1st place.
Tamara Smith a mutation of DNA could als be the cause of it.
There are various forms of albinism. In order to have a child with albinism both parents must be carriers.
Due to the brain bleed and seizures her son could also have cortical visual impairment. Likewise with the nystagmus and lack of pigment in the iris he should wear transition eye glasses. I hope he’s receiving vision education services, orientation and mobility, along with physical, occupational, and speech services.

Very light-skinned people who aren't albino are still able to produce some melanin, so they don't suffer from the problems that the absence of it causes (mostly lots of issues with eye development and health, as well as an even higher risk of skin cancer and skin disease in general)
It could be easily verified if they both carried recessive albinism genes or if it is X chromosome / ocular albinism. One would surmise that they would of already determined this in a clinical setting making the paternity questions moot.

Unfortunately his bio dad is not in the picture ,,, but my husband stepped up and raised him like a bio son ! My son is now 23 and he still is not in a full time wheel chair ❤️ glad it worked out for these two ♥️♥️😁
