Unboxing and 1st use of my STIHL HSA50 cordless hedge trimmer. after many years useing a corded trimmer I finally decided to upgrade. Was intrupted by weather so the video spans two days.
That’s no baloney, Tony! I’m considering both the HSA 50 and 60. The 60 has a rotating handle, a reversing motor in case the cutter gets jammed, and a 24” cutter bar. So far, I still like the 50, like yours. It’s all I need. I have other AK battery tools including a string trimmer, a leaf blower, a chainsaw, and an extended reach hedge trimmer. I love them all except the extended reach hedge trimmer, which is heavy on the trimmer end and not well balanced. I only use it with the AK 30 battery because it’s slightly heavier than the other AK batteries and gives some counterweight to the heavy cutter. Good video! 👍
I am also using the STHEIL cleaning and lubricant spray. A little expensive but the tool is worth it. Cut my tree and bushes down low for the season. This managed to get the battery down to two bars. It was non stop heavy cutting for about 30 min. Cuts just as good as the 1st time. The parts are breaking in I guess because it sounds a bit different but no change in performance. Hope to have it for many years. Thanks so much for watching and commenting. 👍🏽
I'm warning you; that stuff does not work. My blades stuck together multiple times despite liberal use of that product. Switching to Fluid Film was a game changer; no more sticking blades.@@tonycarthan6425
