Sir Bimol will be one of the best MPs India has ever elected. Not only for the NE region, the entire nation needs him for better future of this country. The voice and pain of injustice of the people in this country, he carries in his heart. And thank you Kartikya, for being one of the best and most honest journalists who love this nation.
The demand for a separate administration or Union Territory by Kuki militants should be demanded to the Government of India. The Meitei people and the State Govt. are not competent authorities to fulfill this demand. Then why did the Kuki people, in the name of their demand, start burning down Meitei houses in Churachandpur and Moreh in the first place?
The question is, to whom should the Kuki militants negotiate their demands? The answer is simple: only Kuki militants should negotiate with the Govt. of India regarding their demands.
So why is the Government of India trying to facilitate negotiations between the two communities? This approach seems to be a significant oversight by the Government of India. If the Government of India wants to grant the demand for a separate administration or Union Territory for the Kuki, they should do so. If they do not want to grant it, they should clearly state their inability to do so. The statement from the Govt. of India should be clear cut. Otherwise, the violence will continue.
Some people suggest that this violence has been intentionally instigated by the Government of India, and this perspective is gaining more attention day by day.
Why is Security Adviser Kuldiep Singh saying that they are Neutral Forces?
The statement itself implies that they do not adhere strictly to the law. Instead, they make judgments based on their own criteria. They seem indifferent to who started the violence, the presence of narco-terrorists, and illegal infiltrators.
The question arises: Is the Government of India supporting the violence by the Kuki, narco-terrorists, and illegal infiltrators in Manipur? We are still confused about the concept of neutral forces.
Indian forces, particularly the Assam Rifles (AR), are protecting kuki people. Many viral videos support this claim. As a result, the Meitei community has suffered more casualties than the Kuki in the current Manipur crisis.
In the ground reality, the Meitei people are even more lost in the present situation, despite peace having come to Manipur. Not only have all their houses been burned down and looted, but all the buildings and land have also been leveled flat by bulldozers. Not a single house of the Meitei community is left standing in Churachandpur.
On the other hand, all the buildings belonging to the Kuki community in the Imphal area are still standing. When resettlement comes, all the Meitei houses will need to be reconstructed from scratch, whereas for the Kuki community, their buildings still exist, so they do not need to be rebuilt from scratch.
So why did it happen? Because the entire incident was preplanned by the Kuki Norco-Terrorists taking advantage of SoO before it occurred on May 3, 2023, with the intention of wiping out the Meitei community from Churachandpur and Moreh. As part of wiping them (meitei) out, they knew that they could create a propaganda narrative of "We are separated.”
Their next target is Jiribam district, aiming to control the lifeline of Manipur. Churachandpur and Moreh have already been occupied by the Kuki.

Dr. Seilen Haokip is from Mizoram and was born of a Bengali father and a Kuki mother with strong Myanmarese connection. His mother later became the second wife of a person from Haokip clan of Saitu, Kangpokpi, and thus got his Haokip surname.
P Soyang Haokip, President and Supreme Commander of the Kuki National Army (KNA) and the Chairman of KNO is of Myanmar origin and was born in Molnoi village in Saigang division, Myanmar.
Similarly, Thang Lian Pau the president of ZRA/ZRO is a Myanmarese national born in P a n m w a r l vi lla ge ,Tonzang Tsp., Chin State of Myanmar and he was a member of Myanmar Parliament. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from Mandalay University in 1984, and received a Masters of Science degree in 1988 from Rangoon University. He was the general secretary of the Zomi National Congress (ZNC) until December 1991. He became an independent MP after the SLORC banned the ZNC in 1992.
So, it is not surprising that P Soyang Haokip, President of the Kuki National Army (KNA) and the Chairman of KNO is now talking of Zale’ngam , meaning the Land of Freedom for Kukis. Similarly, The ZRA’s proclaimed objective is to “protect the interests of the Zo ethnic groups” and to “unite the Zomi peoples under one state, Zogam” , which overlaps the official state boundaries of India (Manipur and Mizoram), Myanmar (Chin State) and Bangladesh.
It is also known that these militant groups are bringing Mynamaree Nationals and settling them in the hills of Manipur taking advantage of SoO. The extortion in some hills districts which were otherwise not affected before has also increased dramatically since then.
Poppy Cultivation in the Hills of Manipur has been taken up under the patronage of militant groups taking advantage of the Suspension of Operation (SoO). The quantum of drug smuggling through Manipur has also increased manifold since then.
It is quite natural that these individuals and organizations controlled by them would not hesitate to sacrifice the interests of the people of Manipur, which includes Zomis, Thadous (New Kukis) settled in Manipur with the permission of the then Maharaja of Manipur.
This is quite evident from the large influx of people from Myanmar in recent times under the patronage of these militant groups and making them settle in various places in hill areas of Manipur without any scant respect of law by conspiring with some bureaucrats and politicians.
The continuation of Suspension of Operation (SoO) agreement with KNA/KNO under P S Haokip and ZRA /ZRO under Thang Lian Pau is thus a big threat not only to the harmonious co-existence of the people of Manipur but also to the national security of India.
