It doesn’t matter on any show really. The reality is almost all shows start out different than they end up, and while consistency would be nice, it’s almost impossible considering how many exposures they have to write. In the end, it’s all about making 20 episodes a season being funny, and consistency gets thrown out the window.

If you continue the scene where Michael talks about college parties, he goes on to describe his fantastically delusional ideas of what college parties are like (inviting the professors, etc.). I think that was just another way of him trying to pretend he went to college, and very clearly not a plot hole. It's very fitting for Michael to pretend he went to college (consider that time Darryl rhetorically asks him what college he went to) and this is another instance of that.

    • @popperpoppler4569
      @popperpoppler4569 Před rokem +52

Yeah I think it was pretty obvious that the few instances of Michael talking about going to college are either him trying to fit in unsuccessfully or meant to be clunky segues into what he actually wants to talk about, like the scene where he says the things he misses most are the parties but really he’s just trying to get Jim to invite him to the party he knows he’s already having.

The writers were mad at Ed Helms for filming another show and missing filming the office so they added some bad character changes. You can tell throughout the ninth season they realized they made a mistake and changed his character back to the Andy Bernard we knew. We all go through personality changes in life and this was a wave of Andy’s changes. All of the characters changed. Something that is rarely brought up is how it was scripted for Jim to cheat on Pam and then put into deleted scenes. Edit: Thanks so much for the likes 🙂

British humor is more dark and American humor is more lighthearted, so when they made the show a little different and made it their own. It makes absolute sense that they switched Meredith to supplier relations. Still, it's most likely a mistake.
Dwight could have dyed his hair because he thought it was a good idea, even though he knew that Jim was pranking him.
This isn't an explanation, but the fact that Angela is so close with her sister could be a perfect sign that they recently finally made peace. Ya know what I mean?
Pam was disappointed that Jim took the job in Philadelphia because she wanted to stay in Scranton. She didn't care about what job he had.
Also, she went with Michael before she had kids, right?
Wasn't Erin into Andy? Isn't that why she wanted to give away her computer?
Stanley doesn't have diabetes. He accepted the reward because it was offered to him. The joke is that everyone is constantly saying that he has diabetes to the point where Michael gave him an award for it. That's what I originally thought, and it made perfect sense.

Obviously Pam played Volleyball in high school. That would mean she was good enough at it, to be markedly better than people who never played, but could also easily mean she played for 4 years but ditched practice often with a fake PMS reason. Like 4 years of relatively consistent practice would look like an experienced player to somebody who held a volleyball for the first time. This is the opposite of a plot hole. There are more than 240 movies better than pretty woman, and you can live your whole life without watching it.
I've seen it a lot because I was born in the 80s and I had like 50 movies in vhs growing up. Some I watched once a month, like star wars or back to the future, others never, like fried green tomatoes, and others once in a while, like pretty woman or four weddings and a funeral. Unlike the latter, which I learn to love more as an adult than ever before, I haven't seen pretty woman since then. It's a nice little story about prostitutes being people too and that's about it. If you like julia roberts but hate whores this is a good movie for you to learn not to be such as douchebag to them, cause they're just like you, and me, and julia.
But if you are a normal person who already knows that you can't treat prostitutes like shit, whether they look like julia roberts or not, then you don't need to watch this movie.
At this point in 2019 the only reason to watch this movie is just to avoid somebody saying "You never seen pretty woman?!", and then having to listen to that person talk about it like you've been wasting your entire life.
But no. I'm pretty sure there were even 240 movies better than that one in 1990 alone.

Pam and Volleyball : perhaps she played so much and so often that Eventually she faked conditions, to try and not participate as much.
Meredith and Jim: I think she always thought Jim flirted with her, and when he dated and married Pam. She created the disillusion, that she never even wanted Jims attention, and therefore he is creepy, for the not being reciprocal.
Oscar: Oscar was simply playing hoops with Darryl. In the later season Oscar is deliberately performing poorly to allow his warehouse crush, to win.
Meredith: perhaps she was offered a title promotion (perhaps after being struck by her manager, on office grounds). Also it is not impossible that Michael simply didnt know or remember her position.
Dwight and kid: Dwight is quite capable of ripping off his own nephew, I am sure. Lol.
Dwight and restroom: eventually his latrine under the porch could have fulfilled its usefulness and was replaced by the outhouse.
Dwight and movies: 240 is not the largest amount, of movies. Perhaps he was lying to Andy, and pulled a stat out of his hat. Perhaps he just has never seen it.
Kevin and girlfriend: she could wear glasses for only near/far sight. She could be wearing contacts, or had corrective surgery.
Kevin and washed hands: after being called out so many times, perhaps Kevin wishes to be the one dishing it, instead of receiving it.
Michael and facehole: probably Dwight grabbed a mag and refloated the concrete when everyone was left, as it was improper, and a form of vandalism
A lot of indisputable plotholes I didnt catch. Pams start date, for one. Some I noticed, but didnt take note. Such as Andys parents. Good video either way.

It is said that in the first storyline... they were supposed to be different waitresses, uglier ones indicating Michael and Andy failed at picking them up and had to settle for less .
During filming they realize that the new asian waitresses was to pretty to play the role they intended for in the storyline so they made them out to be the same ones instead and continue with the storyline of Micheal confusing the two.... This is directly from the creator mouth and one of the Asian actress.
This is an excerpt from in an article - The episode was shot in a real Benihana restaurant. According to the show's prop master, different actresses were used because Andy and Michael failed to pick up the original waitresses, and settled for "less attractive ones". At Paley Fest 2007, Greg Daniels admitted that the joke failed due to poor casting. The waitresses that comes to the office were supposed to be unattractive. Daniels stated that the actresses they hired for the role were "too good-looking"...

Carol may also say just any random number meaning that he proposed to her very early on. It wouldn't make sense for her to remember the exact number of dates years later.

I think Jim and Pams' house is actually the same it just showed the house being dingy before, and then they cleaned it up, re-sod the grass, cut down the tree and put hedges in front.

I played volleyball in highschool and her pose is quite normal for a serve jumping while serving makes it a more powerful serve lol

Exactly! She gave it to him because she was in love with him!
And besides, even if Erin _thinks_ she is a badass who grew up all tough and mean, we know she is really a Sweetheart's Sweetheart! 💞👼

@@paprika8334 Ice hated her ever since she played with Andy the way she did. So she dates him, then dumps him and dates Gabe, then dumps Gabe and tries to get back with Andy, but he has a new girlfriend, and she runs away. Andy realises he likes her and goes to get her back, breaking up with the other girlfriend. Then he goes on his boat trip, and she no longer likes him. She pretty much cheats on him with Pete, and starts treating Andy poorly. She calls him juvenile when she's the most immature person there. So then she breaks up with him and dates Pete. I know Andy wasn't the best in the end, but still. I've hated her since Pete

People break up. Every relationship isn’t going to be all sunshine and rainbows. In reality some people date multiple people before actually falling in love/ finding the right person.
She was never head over heels in love with Gabe, she found him quite revolting actually and that’s why she broke up with him. She wasn’t happy with him and he could be quite possessive.
Now Andy and Erin were just adorable. Once they started to date they were just perfect, but people change and that’s exactly what Andy did. He messed up and left her for months (never told her when he was coming back + didn’t even invite her) He rarely communicated with her over the few months he was on vacation (i think he sent her only one email while he was away) Over these few months she reevaluated her relationship and grew to dislike Andy which was justified because who leaves for months without communicating. She felt as if he forgot about her.
Over this time period she met her other half but did not want to believe that he could actually be *that special person* and wanted to stay Devoted to Andy even though he was an ass. But the heart wants what it wants and it didn’t want Andy. She was hesitant to breaking up with him but she put on her Brave face and did it.
I don’t think that ^ is the definition of Thot, my dude.

Michaels condo got a slight remodel so I could see how you would think it was a different place but, Jim and Pam definitely have the same the same house. It even still has the same doorbell if you look closely.
A lot of interesting points were made in this video but I feel like most of them can either be easily explained of are just wrong. Still a great vid tho.
