Been running this drill for years. Picked it up from my high school coach. We call it 5-on-5 "Get Back".
I bought the full video series with Coach Huber from Breakthrough Basketball and I can say that these 15 drills are a drop in the bucket in terms of the wealth of knowledge you get. I only wish I had this series before I started coaching my girls team this year. I was not asked to post about this - and there is so much more content if you want to help develop basketball players.
That is awesome! We love hearing stuff like this, thanks Coach!
Tiene el material traducido al español?
Link for full video series?
从哪里能买到呢?
This gets a like for Nick being so aloof and you handling it so well. Kudos.
Such a great video. The fact that this is free without paying anything speaks volumes. Thanks for these gems.
I’ll pay it forward by sharing this content. Thanks Coach.
Thank you for helping with my drills
I like it, coach! I’m going to incorporate these drills!!!!
Great videos, thanks
Thanks for this divine video ❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks coach!
You bet!
Great work!!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it!
im 10 and this drill made me get open and make every shot
Good stuff coach!
Glad you liked it!
Great vid, thanks! First year coach and my 5th grade boys are going to the finals this week. Already thinking about next year. Awesome resource.
Good luck!!
this is great
Great stuff
Thanks!
I liked when coach had players having to make decisions against their opponent. I never heard coach ask players questions on options and there is too much explicit coaching. Quick rules of drills and then let them go at it. Check out basketball immersion. Stay away from uncontested drills. The representative learning design is not present. They will never face decontextualized open no defender in any game. It doesn’t have to be high pressure but it must have decisions, not just following coach directions. Unless you want your players to only look to coach for answers. Trust in the messy process and have patience. I liked some of the material, just quicker points, meant less direction and more play. Have a great season.
ok but how do you do that chirp whistle? That's the real mvp of these drills!
非常好👍
Very good trainer.
Thanks!
can I use some clips from this video for a promo advertisement for my church?
Very good drills for young players
Thanks!
Great video and I will use these drills with my HS kids too! Do you have a similar video for HS players too?
Coming soon!
Excellent drill. Can the player in help-side defense (mid-line) be called for 3 secs violation? How does the ref determine 3 secs call? Doesn't the player need to actively guarding someone to prevent the 3 sec call?
This should be getting answered. Great question.
No. The defensive player can stay in the middle as long as they want. Only the offensive players can get called for three second violation.
@@cliffsauer9111 The 3 second rule does apply to the defense. According to wiki - A defensive three-second violation, also known as illegal defense, is a basketball rules infraction in the National Basketball Association (NBA).[1] It is assessed when a member of the defending team spends more than three seconds in the free throw lane (also called the key, the 16-foot lane, or "the paint") while not actively guarding an opponent. To be considered actively guarding an opponent, a defender must be within arm's length of an opponent and must be in a guarding position.
@@lakerfan4life308 I’ve coached high school basketball for 17 years. I’ve coached youth basketball during that time. I am a PE teacher and I coach. My wife played college basketball and played through high school. It is only an NBA rules. Its there because they want more scoring. It doesn’t apply to high school college or youth basketball in any state as far as I know. Otherwise a 2-3 zone would be illegal defense.
@@cliffsauer9111 Hey Cliff - okay. Good to know. There is a 3 sec violation in the key but it doesn't relate to youth basketball. Perhaps - It's at the discretion of the league to enforce it.
💎
You have a typo on the description of Drill 11...
Thanks, good catch!
This is legit for sure
I'm going to basketball
Someone need to send this to Bronny before the Draft 😭😭😭
hello
ahh shit roy nice move
what the hell nick? do you even want to be there!
not on my substricption list
I could do without the annoying whistle sounds randomly added like at 26.49 and many other places
Those sounds were not added. They were actually Coach Huber. He whistles to quickly get the attention of the players, so he can coach more effectively.
@@BreakthroughBBall I wasn't able to see a whistle. Thanks for clarifying
@@inkwell101 you saw correct. He does it without a whistle.
@@inkwell101 he whistles with his mouth, like people have been doing for tens of thousands of years..
This is so bad
