  • What's up guys? We are so excited to have Albino Nelsons Milk Snakes available for purchase at our Point of Sale, and so of course we were going to build a set up and raffle it off in store. I created this 24x18x18 enclosure that includes some of my favorite plants, and some really cool pieces of wood I've been saving for a project such as this.Nelson’s are a subspecies of the king snake and are found in Mexico to the Pacific Coast. These colubrids can average 42 inches long and are nonvenomous. They make for a great beginners snake as long as you keep in mind that they can defecate when held if they are not used to being handled. Such a beautiful snake!

What are the benefits of putting the darkling beetles in the tank? Do they consume the poop & other stuff that sits on the surface? Would my milk snake attempt to eat them? My milksnake is

Most bioactive builds I've seen use a false bottom layer. Does this one not need it because you dont need such high humidity?

Would there be any drawbacks to putting a baby milk snake into its adult-size enclosure? I imagine not, since their natural environment would be as-far-as-they-can-slither, but I'd just like to double check. :)

    • @TheBioDudeJoshHalter

its to whatever humidity requirements the animals need, typically basing the biome off their natural environment will give the plants the same humidity.

hey hey! the extra decor is for enrichment, It is cluttered within reason as more empty space can cause stress issues in reptiles not feeling covered enough, the extra decor also adds more surface area to be explored that isnt just flat exposed glass.
