  • Top Gun for the NES was one of the very few flight sim-like games for the NES. So was it any fun for those of us that wanted to experience the thrills of high speed aerial combat? Well, no. But check out the full review to see why!

I mean, for 1987 it was technically a masterpiece.

I loved the 8-bit rendition of the Top Gun theme on the title screen, but that was all there was to like about this game. It really is unforgivable that a Top Gun game actually had no music in the gameplay itself.

This was a really good review. I'm watching some of your NES videos, now. Makes me want to have a go at these ridiculously difficult games, again.

Thanks! Honestly a lot of old NES games just hasn't aged well enough to be worth the effort, but it's always worth it to try a new game out you may really enjoy.

Damn, it wasn't a bad 8-bit flight sim when it came out. That shit was badass when it came out!!
