- In celebration for the soon-to-be-released Skyfall, the 23rd Bond movie produced by Eon Productions, I made this little video as a tribute to my first Bond movie that got it all started for me.

I just love how forward thinking this bond car was. I mean they didn't even have touchscreen phones but still had a touchpad controlled car, Fingerprint scanner, Voice assistant, Obstacle detection, Speed alert etc. This scene did amaze me at the time, like a glimpse into the near future.
That too @ century b4...
@@dhonduwani3129 007 골든아이
My father used to run a security automation company. I remember 25 years ago, touchscreen controls for DVR cameras existing, for ''High end'' customers who found such not really refined tech very class in 1996, instead of good old joystick control unit.
The technology was there, it was never imagined to be in mobile phones for certain.
if you're 5 yo that makes sense
Predictive programming.
Love the fact at 7:25, Bond casually drives his car off the roof onto someone's place of business, and surprisingly no one's hurt and he is mighty proud of himself. Also only the sharp-eyed would notice the rivalry between Bond's BMW and villain's Mercedes at 5:08
Well for one, what’d you expect, it’s James Bond! There was no one to get hurt, everyone cleared the way, and he’s just way too lucky and for two, he just infiltrated an enemies’ base, remotely controlled a BMW and that too like Michael Schumacher himself, and you think he wouldn’t be even proud of himself?
I also found it amazing that the BMW jumped from a high roof and crashed in the rental car agency but no one got hurt...It was hilarious because...Well... You're supposed to return the car anyway...I miss those Bond movies where things didn't always make sense but it was pure entertainment...Sure, there was a bit of violence here and there but who cares ?? These movies were so enjoyable...
Well he did beep to warn the people below 😅
Its a car rental place
it's actually a continuation joke as it was rented from AVIS... or so
(of course it isn't in actuality, all 4 brosnan movies were sponsored by BMW)
I FELL in love with James Bond because of Pierce Brosnan.
SAME
We need to bring this kind of James Bond back.
Denial Craig is best bond and roger moor
@@dushyantpatel3274 roger bore?
People can say what they want about Pierce Brosnan, but his movies were fun.
You mean cartoonish bonds
@@dushyantpatel3274 nope nope nope
He was suave, confident and his rapport with Q was the best as well. My favourite Bond 'followed by Dalton actually. To each their own preference as they say. Thanks for the clip.
Pierce Brosnam, by far the best James Bond ever. More elegant and classy , secure , and better gadgets than anyone.
Me too feel the same
His charming and playboy-ish personality and elegant fashion is just perfect

"We don't really go for those anymore"
This is interesting... When a good guy wants to open an electronic locking device he shoots the device... and when he wants to block the locking device he... shoots the device! Works just fine both ways!
Works for good guys only. (In the movies).
this is the best car scene of any movies, period. wish they made new bond's at this level of techno gadgets. Man, after this movie i've wanted a nokia communicator so badly for years, only to figue out it doesn't have these whistles. :D
It is an Ericsson phone, not Nokia.
Imagine walking into an AVIS to get a rental then you turn around to take a flying BMW 7 series to the face.
Better than getting into a rented Ford Focus
Dane of Halves hail Avis hail victory (the Orville)
Good grief i wasnt there that time. Lol
I would freakin' take the car.
This was the reason I fell in love with BMW when I was a kid…..The fact James Bond drove it in one of my favourite 007 films….
This was always my favorite scene in this movie. Love it.
Motorcycle scene was my favorite.
"talk here, listen here"
"so that's what I've been doing wrong all these years"
Q: "Talk here, Listen here."
B: "So I've been doing it wrong all these years!"
Best line ever!
Amazingly enough, 20 years after this movie was release, we're finally seeing some of the technologies for real, and in BMWs no less!
Nah mate, the latest 7 series doesn't come with missiles unfortunately
@@dragonballtorture U never know 🤪😂
I want the self-re-inflating tyres!!!!
@@Firemarioflower It would not be a technical challenge, tanks with tires use such systems, also the Humvee and agricultural tractors (to change tire pressure fast)for street/field use. Rally cars also use a tire inflating system inside the axle.
For a street car it's probably too expensive
@@dragonballtorture of course, he’s talking about remote start, GPS tracking and navigation, and remote driving (although it’s only slow speeds for parking lot maneuvering) and a few of the gadgets in his phone like the fingerprint scanner and the remote control of his car are now standard fare on most modern cars and smartphones.
Pierce Brosnan is my fav. Bond among all the other bond u r the only reason that i got addicted to bond series 😍
Now day denial Craig is best bond
agreed
Correct Mr. Adithya. Pierce Brosnan is an addiction as Bond. I am addicted.
Im also indian really i addicted pierce Brosnan James bond movie franchise and love to Rojer Moore ,Sean Connery and George Lazenby too
Kids like Craig, Grown ups like Brosnan
"lets see how she responds to my touch"
amazing
🤘
Back in the day, when the car is a real car
Yeah ! and men real men, wars real wars, dumbasses real dumbasses and bullshits real bullshits, not bullshits like today who are bullshits, but real bullshits bullshiting as shit. Did i said shit ?
Q division is so advanced that they knew Bond would encounter a steel cable in this mission and just at the right height for the cutter to be used.
Brilliant!
The lack of gadgets in the new bond movies pisses me off the whole point of the series is how badass bonds equipment is
New Q is younger than previous two..... and much more interested in Computers rather than gadgets.....
@@zsus1 are you, somehow, suggesting that computers are not a part of gadgetry?
Now this was a true Bond movie!
Just one word to describe this whole video: Iconic.
Reminder : Unsafe driving will void warranty !!!
Looking back on this now, the car sounds a lot like Overwatch's Orisa: Please stand back behind the barrier.
Probably the best 7 series to hit the street......
Definately*
I have an E65 and it’s the worst car I have ever bought. I feel shameful to be called a petrolhead
@@HS-PGX I'm sorry to hear that... Usually E65 owners are pretty happy with that car.
Tony A well most petrolheads say that the E65 is the worst car BMW ever produced... I really can’t disagree. I had the chance to drive another BMW recently (318i F30) and I must say it’s not as shabby.
@@HS-PGX E65s are pretty good for the time they were made. The styling was controversial but that's about it. The design looks alot better as its aged.
7:25 bonds face as he realized the irony. So ridiculous 🤣 love it
20 years later, and we are there, phones with camera resolution and the tech to drive a car.
Pierce Brosnan has classy look, womanizer guy with witty sense of humour..
Man how convinient was that wire cutter... Had the wire been a bit lower or higher it wouldn't do anything
Coldy pretty sure the height of the cutter can change
Even at the correct height, the cutter was too small to cut a wire that thick. It's just a movie.
@@yishujia186 music.czcams.com/video/fqw38ZXfXco/video.html&feature=share
the magic of movies, Q and Bond bought humour to it. good times!
Wire was in it's standard height 🤣
They already picturised ahead of time technologies
I remember this iconic scene in 1997. Truly classic james bond’s car.

there better made than the newer of today because the newer ones today are twin turbo instead of V12 like on that 1998
I feel pity for Daniel Craig. Brosman gets cars that are invisible or can be remotely controlled and they won't give Craig even a explosive pen. :(
What do you expect? We don't use that anymore Mr.Bond
because Q department didn't make something like that these days
it's ok he's got balls hard like iron
But you know what he can do with that pen...
I think that was the whole point of Craig NOT getting cool gadgets, to poke fun at the previous Bonds. Remember that scene at the museum in Skyfall when he got the gun and radio, which was anti-climactic on purpose. Not to mention, I think part of the reason Craig's Bond doesn't get the cool gadgets is because his is the first Bond that get's more realistic action. Who before Craig had Bond bleeding or realistic fight sequences, etc?
VERY underrated movie in the series/franchise.
Especially ..the best opening sequence, pre-credits.
- What the hell does 007 think he's doing?!
- His job!
Possibly the most defining moment in all the scripts
This was the first BMW that I fell in love with and loved there cars ever since 750 what a beautiful machine she is 😊🇩🇪🚗
One of the best looking saloon cars of all times: E38 and W126
Pierce was an excellent Bond. Hopefully, we'll have another good Bond again some day.
Boy with Toys!!!!! Remote Control Bond's BMW with all the gadgets XD ............the good old days!!!!!!
I'm gonna be honest; this is probably my favorite gadget ever.
Awesome 007 Mr. Bond. No one can replace your character
In love with this car since childhood...
facts behind the scene: The chase in the car park was filmed in London, GB but the "parking" scene in the AVIS store is in Hamburg, Germany. The Atlantic Hotel is located in Hamburg as well.
i was 8 years when i saw this film .. just amaze how clever bmw , now 7 series is able to pilot parking 🙂
His Acting is Legendary
This car is why I love the film.
Taking back seat driving to new levels ehh.
mugensamurai only 6 likes?
mugensamurai I was a kid when I Got a chance to see this and thinking that BMW Headlights would be usable for Rockets or machine gun full auto kill the men in front shooting at the BMW
Pionner of new gadgets today 👍👍😎😎😎
A "GPS Tracking system".... What is this mythical technology?!
Oh 😂🤣😂🤣🤣 lol
Terrific scene. Best ever car chase(even if it was not a proper car chase, but still)
I miss Ian Flemings James Bond. New ones just ain't the same.
"I think we've met" Haha! Love that line
wish bond just for once bring back the equipment in piece
JUST ONCE
There was one where he did.... because the car used in the film was the only one of its kind, and they weren't allowed to destroy it.... so instead we got a tank chase!
@@Tank50us oh the blue one huh
And this is one of the reasons I love the BMW E38 and really want one
There literally so cheap now. Go and get it
@@michaelpena3489 True, though the cheap ones tend to have the most issues
Marc Benemerito I meant in general they’re all cheap and affordable even the good ones. The only downside is buying from a youngster who couldn’t afford the maintenance, Had late oil changes, Abused the car Etc
I like the phone controler
Michael Pena don’t buy a cheap one
Buy the best you can
24 years later ! You can start the BMW with your remote key and move it forward/reverse by just using the keyfob.
Excellent movie clip: James Bond!!!
Bond with the best Pierce Bronsnan. Only 90’s kids will know what his Bond movies were like.
6:12 I’m sure that one guy was thinking “I am so fired.” XD

Brilliant for the Agent who dose it all to be honest for his mission.
In 2019, we have fingerprint scanners as standard for most of our phone... So when will the taser come?
Remote control parking in BMW 7 series 2019 well done!;)
They now sell a phone case with Taser. Build in.
That u need to buy from police the taser.
And gps tracking
I don't know. But if I wanted to find something like that I'd check out wish.com
This is an illegal offensive weapon in many jurisdictions, and if you get one imported you may be breaking even more laws.
As someone who lives in Hamburg its funny how he just casually teleports through the central City. In reality the first building and the parking space are like 500m apart :D
A nice collection of 90s executive saloons.
This reminds me of when I was a kid and would play 4 players 007 Golden eye on N64. Greatest Map was The Facilities.
Q also has a time machine. He knew exactly where and what height the saw is supposed to be.
That is due to international standards in heights of barricades
7:36 I love that smile
the old James bond movies are the best

I liked movies with Pierce Brosnan as James Bond.

That ending was so satisfying. I have had bad experiences with f***ing Avis.
Nice how this Technology was fascinating in former times!
Daniel Craig looks under his bed at night to make sure Brosnan isn't there
Why? Craig is ten times the Bond that Brosnan was. Brosnan was weak as a Bond, too much of pretty boy, IMO. Moore, Connery, Craig, Dalton, Brosnan, Lazenby, in that order.
@@sharkracer Connery first! He was much more of a badass than Moore was. And Brosnan had the gadgets, the Martini's, not afraid of weapons [Craig doesn't like firearms.] and he had better cars. Just because something is newer doesn't make it better, bubba. :P

Fan of James Bond:)
James Bond my favourite actor.
7:30 the shop owner got a new car after a few weeks fixing the shop
he would later sell his alexa to amazon and live the good life
When the hatch opens and closes 2:23 and 2:35. Michael Winslow (Police Academy) makes the sound effect with his mouth.
All time my favorite 🎥,,, lovely
I loved Craig as Bond, however, there is just a little special "X" factor Brosnan brought to the role, imo. Just another level of charm, bad-assery, and style roled into one package which he commanded in these movies.
miss the old Q
Today we cannot see Ericsson’s phone anymore.
No Bond film would be complete without the legendary Q (Desmond Llewellyn) This was an excellent movie.
Great,20 years ago filmed and still we don’t see most of the gadget ..🙄😏....😍 God I miss Pierce Br. and James B movies.
Ah... fun. I knew there was something missing from Craig's Bond, I just couldn't quite put my finger on it.
I remember laughing so hard with my brother when this car was revealed. You usually think of some cool sports car or supercar that Bond would drive but instead you see a crummy BMW sedan. Such a hilarious moment.
@Chris Riff-RAF 206 Watching it 20 years after release and seeing an old BMW, the way it looks it may just as well have been a Buick.
Unforgetable this gadget between 007 and Q !!!
Actually this is a very tragic scene.
It was so gorgeous, that BMW.
Dont worry. Some work at the shop and its brand new again.
Brosman & Moore were the two best Bond for me.
Also Sean connery
I'm surprised the computer didn't have anything to say about using the gadgets.
Top ten chase in the series. And it's only the 2nd best in it's own movie!
I love it when q says only from me unless you bring the car back in pristine order😂
I've watched this film so many times, and yet this is the first time i noticed he crashes the car into the AVIS Rent A Car he got it from 7:25
Q needs to get some credit for the finger print scanning
