I just wanna say, I’m 15 years old and turning 16 in a month, for Christmas my stepdad got me a 2005 Chevy Silverado crewcab, it’s only 2WD but I love watching videos on my model because my truck is at my stepdads work and I haven’t got to see it in person. Thanks for this beautiful truck and video. Made my day
Your dad is absolutely correct I have a 2003 chevy Silverado 1500 is a ls extcab but It’s still running strong till this day it ha been my daily driver my brother in-law bought it brand new I remember I went with him to the dealer shop to get it when I was 13 I bought it from him as my first truck when I turn 17
depends on the engine. chevy put several different 5.3 engines in that truck the regular 5.3 cast iron block has about 290 hp but chevy put the L33 5.3 in about 25% of these trucks .i found this out because my truck is one of the 25% its a 2005 and looks identical to this truck .the L33 is an all aluminum Ls based 5.3 with 315 hp.
Why do these more fully loaded trucks have sliding rear windows? The newer trucks have power-sliding rear windows. When I first noticed that these trucks had rear windows that can slide open and closed, I wondered if this can help out with long pieces of wood or lumber that you could buy from Lowe's, Menards, or the Home Depot. Or maybe the sliding rear window can also provide fresh air into the back of the cab.

How’s it still working out for you?
Nice spray painted frame and tow package, ahh the shady stuff we used to do working at a body shop
What else can you do to make it look good again? Short of a full sandblast and candy paint… on a frame and tow receiver
Awesome truck!. So much better than those crappy 5.4l's Ford had.
Would love to have a Silverado from this generation. My dad had a 2004 and he preferred over the 2007 and 2011 Silverado’s he’s had since then
O live in vegas...o have this truck...let me know if you are interested
