Don't expect a sequel as they dropped patch support from the game(basically washing their hands off it), and thus leaving it the buggy mess it is.

I could see him becoming like the fan from the original series, making one or two appearances per game.
Wish they would have admitted fault, fixed the game, and continued development for the next one, but that would require studio integrity. EA doesn't know the meaning of the word. . .
There should have been a third option: bribe the guy to come work for you! Think about it, an emp weapon like that being used to defend your ship from the Kett!
Said emp weapon would also fry any ship it was mounted on

@@tyrusmfrechs7025 a very resource intensive option, especially for a group that is supposed to he just establishing themselves in a new galaxy. I will not deny that it could work though, provided the enemy is far enough away

How many resources did they have just laying unaccounted for all over a multitude of worlds?
@@tyrusmfrechs7025 all of it is raw resources that first need to be found, then gathering colonies and stations need to be set up, then those resources need to be transported elsewhere and refined and -then- they can be used to assemble stuff. As I said, for a group that is only just getting set up in a new galaxy it would be a drain on their limited resources to sacrifice an entire shuttle and VI every time you use your primary weapon. Those arent simple, cheap, or fast to build compared to a mass driver cannon and the ammunition for it.
i got half of this task. I got the first few shocks and shutdowns.... and my nomad just got over it and chugged along. I guess i didn't travel far enough into the emp area to completely shut down. imma find him now though!
And to this day he is still traveling....
This guy is quite a character. I would be tempted to actually let him live.
This happened to me but the quest never triggered so I ran to the "nearest" station and fast traveled. But the nomad was still broken down. I traveled to another planet and it was still fucked. I hate Elaaden.

I did the same. Completed nearly the entire planet on foot before I finally found a help guide on this quest and got it completed
This just happened to me and I went and did another mission on a ship and then another planet to find out its still broke and I couldn't even leave to the tempest so I had to go back a little ways. Such a stupid thing to do and them never saying this could happen at any point. Freaking stupid. Also is stupid your losing shields in 50⁰c being that's only 120⁰ which it can get to that in Arizona
This quest is the perfect example of why I much prefer that Mass Effect had exploration like Andromeda vs the rail roading experience compared to 2 and 3. I love the whole going out for your first time not knowing what to expect.
Mass effect 1: getting Mako stolen by a bunch of pirates while you are stuck underground with a Nuke.

Mass Effect 2: Drive around in a tissue paper "tank" (HammerHead) taking out turrets that rip you in two, in seconds.
@@Firestar4041 Going back to the hammerhead missions now, they were pretty god awful filler content, but honestly I'd rather drive the hammerhead around than the damn mako anyday; I hate when I go back to ME1 and have to drive the damn mako over 30 planets that are all 75% mountains, it gets old quick...like flat places are natural formations too, so why does every planet need to have Grand canyon size mountains?

that smooth 60fps is just... amazing !!!! i will also have that feel when i would upgrade my system next month...
it happened to me and i thought that big worm has something to do with it. so i high tailed out of there using boost and some jump. good to know there is a purpose about it, other than a big worm trying to devour me hole...thanks for sharing.

Never heard of this quest until seeing it in the patch notes for 1.09. It's almost comical seeing that red raider think he's some kind of end boss, that he would be able to pose a threat to Ryder. Raiders are the low level cannon fodder of multiplayer.

Yeah I literally drive everywhere on Elaaden and still haven't had this happen. Kinda dislike these scripted random events 🤣 makes me feel like I'm missing so much of the game

I got hit by that too, but mine didn't break down like yours to activate that mission. I figured it was an EMP from the giant worm, but I drove away.
I ran across the map hoping the nomad will be fixed if I left the planet had to run back to fix it

98% completed with the game and this never happened to me.
I know I missed some angara on kadara who tried to stop me, because I was just trying to activate all the forward stations. I had no idea where she was when she said something; I was already like 5 miles away from her and didn't see her.

When the nomad broke down the game never gave me dialogue and I left the area what do I do now?

Crazy that in a time period where we can jump across galaxies, have ships that run on energy without need to refuel, etcetera, we have a car that runs on gas
Except ship need to refuel. It's even a gameplay feature in ME2.

Have no clue. Somebody suggested that if you settle down Kello and Gil argue about ship it wont happen. But I never actually try fly over that part and try to drive there after finishing the game. :/
This happened to me but I never got any communications. I was just broken down and couldn't fix it, had to go to a previous save to get around it. Lost 3 hours of gameplay! Grrr!
Wish we had the Mako instead of the Nomad.
God damnit. I thought I played all the missions, side missions and gameplay when I played andromeda years ago. I’m gonna have to load up my old save file just so I can play this mission. And I promised to never play andromeda again after finishing it ;~;

What do you mean out of gas? The scav literally just told you he fried it with an emp and he then proceeds to kill the occupants or help them and send them on their way if he can't win

That's giving too much credit to the Mass Effect: Andromeda team. It would probably go exactly the same way.
Dude you are putting some mighty workload on EA. They don't know how to do the whole "Attention to details" thing.
@@ray4493 Attention to details is realizing there is no way for that guy to know if you have aliens or humans in your vehicle, and thus he should set the trap wheter or not it is the case. Eventually he could react differently once you're face to him, but it would require a lot of work for just a little PNJ in the middle of nowhere.

Northalix Looks nice. I know you can get the N7 armour in Dead Space 3 if you play Mass Effect before it. (I don't know if you need to specifically play Mass Effect 3 or not, but I played ME3 before Dead Space 3. Gotta say, I don't use it often, but it looks really well done. It looks just like the one from the ME Trilogy.)

Its just a name of a quest
The initiative was supposed to recruit the best and brightest, but a significant number of them became common thugs and highway men. They should’ve had a much stricter recruitment policy. Plus a lot of ppl left for dumb reasons.
There is a side quest explaining this. Apparently the cryo process caused brain chemical imbalance in a lot of people which is why they turned out like this.

Plus even if it’s true, that’s a dumb reason to have a significant portion of such an expansive expedition to turn into the criminal element. Cuz it means ur just shooting ppl who can’t help themselves.

All that to shoot the guy twice... could have made the encounter better. I mean the guy was confident enough to take on 3 armed people. Could had a bunch of turrets pop out the sand while he jetpacked back on top of a dune behind a shield to snipe you. The area could have been riddles with mines. Could have been an interesting fight like a mini boss. But no, it's Andromeda. What can you expect but half ass everything.

why would you leave this guy alive? he's killed so many passerbys and stripped them of possessions. Maybe an argument can be made that an even worse bandit will run this scam when this one is gone.

This part of the game really sucks because you probably can not see where to go and you do not get any hint how to repair your Nomad. I was not able to get it repaired until I returned and found the guy who had the necessary part.
I think I'll keep my 250,000 Credits. Not gonna pay you 50 Credits just because. I can walk back, need the cardio anyways. :D

Everything and everyone is so politely and well mannered, they speak calmly there's almost no emotions on display, ever. Despite all the bugs, this is what makes Andromeda such a shitty game, it has the writing and the acting of a robot.
