Hey Jason, good stuff. Some folks are lost on concept of hiding in plain sight. Walmart bag helps in this regard. Add a dirty pair of skivvies, few will notice the weight of the bag an pass it on by. In SanFran… maybe not !

Me too. I am a serious pepper, but I have no bug out bag. I will die here in my home if need be.
Not an expert,but...our economy is based on the free flow of currency in a circular motion..I buy food, my money puts clothes on the employees children, the clothing store people make car payments, the bank loans money to start businesses, who buy products, the manufacturers pay employees, etc. My money comes back to me, having enriched many people! People who hoard gold and silver selfishly harm everyone by choking the economy. Furthermore, a bug out bag 'situation' is likely to be one where gold will get you killed rather than help. Buy beans with gold? A gold coin is worth MANY cases of beans.. the differential is too great! Trading involves items of equal value. Show gold in SHTF and become a high priority target. Hope my theory never gets tested in reality. By the way, LOVE your channel, have gotten a great deal of value from it!
@@vanevans645~ Consider that it’s not always a “ bug out “ bag… Lets say you’re driving 50 miles from home and SanFran hits the fan… Ya just might need a “get home” bag so you can stand your ground at home where your stuff is.

Look at it this way, if you have no money now, then you have nothing to worry about financially if the world ends. If the world collapses and paper money and digital credit becomes useless, most people will be in the same boat as you. Just make sure if anyone buys things off you, like food and water, you only accept things with practical value as payment such as gold, silver or ammo.

Like the vid, but why would you carry that much silver in air-tights? Silver is bulky and heavy to begin with.

OK, silly question, why take metals when cash (notes) are lighter to carry and you don't have to exchange them if you need to pay for something?
I think traditionally the idea is that somehow when doomsday comes everyone will suddenly stop thinking paper money has value, even though we've all lived our entire lives being taught it is very valuable and the basis of society. I know, it doesn't make any sense.
Because the U.S. dollar has no intrinsic value. It cost 6 cents to print a $5 bill. Costs 6 cents to print a $100 bill. It’s just paper. Backed by full faith and credit of the United States to pay its debts. With 37 trillion in debt and that debt hitting an exponential growth curve now adding 1 trillion per month. People are losing that faith quickly.
Paper money's value is tied to the country it was printed in. That's why everywhere accepts USD, as the USA isn't going anywhere and people trust US banks to honour the USD. But if for some reason the US government collapses or says every world government collapses, the USD could become untenable (as in no longer legal tender) Previous metals have practical uses as they are used in making electronic components. So even if every world government collapses, people will still value precious metals.
My man has MORE worth in gold coins in his crappy wal-mart "bug-out bag" at 1:31 than I have saved up in both of my bank safe deposit boxes.
That's 4.75 oz of gold he shows there ! At the current $2000 per oz gold spot, that equals a melt value of $9500 !!!

@@powderdays7557That depends on who you are bartering with. Most people would see them as worthless but more educated people would know that diamonds are used in industry. In such things as industrial drills. But yeah, better to use gold or silver.

The groups gather and have shared fantasies about fighting epic battles that don't really exist. Of course in these fantasies, they are the powerful heroes who win against all odds. It's kind of cute, really.
