Yes indeed, that "Taxi Ribbon" will help me a lot. I hate when they tell me to park at general aviation. Where the hell is that??? I honestly wanted them to put a flasher on the vfr map. But a taxi ribbon will take care of that. And sometimes they give me like 6 or more instructions for taxiways that I have no idea where they are. Again, this will add to the emersion.
Thanks boss! You deserve more views and subs but it's one to a customer so I've done what I can.
Thanks, I was looking for both of these. Very clear.
😍 Thank you, I didn't know you have to apply rudder left or right to align with the runway, I thought my controls were broken. Thanks a lot.
Thank you. I was unaware MSFS had that taxi ribbon assist.
My biggest gripe with MSFS is the taxi ribbon. There should be a hot-key to turn it of and on if you so choose, and why are the ribbon markers so close together? Come on guys. Put the makers further away or at or even at turn intersections.
Thanks mate really appreciated the video
Taxi ribbon is great. I dont use any assists but this one. Ever since i got lost at Charles de Gaulle airport ive used it when visiting larger Airports. 👍
❤
Thank you , Taxi ribbon is great
Man, thank you so much! In german, the translation for the taxi setting is horrible, no wonder i couldn't find it. I was at a point, where i wouldn't fly to major airports because i got frustrated with the taxi routes. Again, thank you so much!
Thank you, very much...
Thank you
Your the best yippee 🥳 ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I just need to know how to control the speed my plane is going when taxiing, I end up taking off at parking because of it, thank you.
My main problem with taxiing at the moment is either too much throttle and thus not being able to turn in time (running on to grass etc) or not enough throttle and hardly moving..just can't quite get the sweet spot right !
I feather the throttle. Take it to half for a couple seconds then back down to idle. Use the TAS indicator at the bottom of your speed tape to see how fast you're going. 10-20 is where I keep it. Once you get rolling, throttle to idle and you'll coast forever.
@@donnie1581 I'll give that a try. My example, with the Daher, which has a throttle range marked as 'taxi', is if I position the throttle there, the plane does not move., usually I have to hit around 50% throttle to get it rolling but then it quickly goes too fast, so steering becomes a problem. Either I'm doing something wrong then, or the Daher is a strange bird ?!
It's quite weird in MSFS C172 has "right turning tendency" not normal left turning tendency (In my Sim). Turning auto rudder on and off did not work hmmm... Any thoughts?
Hi, can you please inform how to get the taxi ribbon up when you land to direct to parking? Have tried loading up ATC when I land but it only gives me the option to taxi to takeoff again, no option to taxi to parking, even if I set a route that is supposed to end at a particular gate
Hey Bailey. That's the only way I know of to get the ribbon to parking. It usually shows up as an option when tuned to the ground controller (assuming there is a ground controller at the airport you're at!).
My taxi ribbon dont work after two routes. Is there a shortcut key on my keyboard to get it back on again
Thanks so much. I was using a fighter jet on Xbox, and could not taxi. I could only go straight. I’m leaving a like!!!
Edit: It’s a bug, I found out how to turn on any plane, but the fighter jet will not turn.
I’ve been having that same problem I can’t turn on the fighter jet which sucks especially in small airports
Can you help with my taxing after landing? Once I’m taxing, my plane pulls hard left and it’s annoying trying to just turn right to counter it
Sounds like you might be taxiing too fast. At higher speeds on the ground, planes naturally pull to he left. Mostly you experience this during takeoff, and need to use right rudder to counter it. Your taxiing speed should be pretty slow, like the pace of a fast walk. If your airspeed indicator shows any activity, you’re much too fast :-)
I find that too. I'm not sure what the setting is, but I've had the 787 automatically follow the taxi ribbon and steer itself with no input from me, as long as I maintain a respectable speed.
EXPERIENCED SIMMERS AND PILOTS PLS HELP!
In MSFS2020 Why does the taxi ribbon (when taxiing to takeoff) make you go in the opposite direction on the runway cleared and approved for takeoff?
My takeoff direction was to the left, then the ribbon told me to go to the right,
im not a pilot but IDT thats the right way, or the right order to do the runup,
I do the runup before holding short for the approved runway and before tuning to the correct frequency to then get clearance,
then the taxi ribbon changes, from ending on the runway, to then going to the right, and stopping at the hashed yellow area of the runway like near the lights and grass. Is this a bug?
The takeoff auto rudder option is not in my assistance settings
I have taxi ribbon turned on but they don’t show up for me
Hi I hope u see this comment but every flight I pick my plane seems to be in the runway already and I want to do the start-up process is there anyway to turn it off?
Hey Ramon, yep! In the world map, under the departure airport, choose a parking space instead of the default runway selection and you’ll start cold and dark on the ramp.
Does anyone else have the problem that when they taxi to parking or a gate the game doesn't recognise it? I follow the blue ribbon and park in the blue square which then turns light green but nothing else happens. I can't seem to get the game to actually acknowledge that the flights finished or I'm in the right place.
Once you're in a parking spot, you need to shut down the engines and avionics to get the logbook screen that shows the flight is complete.
Does autotaxi still work? it used to taxi to the runway on it's own. Since the last updates this hasn't worked for me.
I believe the only auto-taxi that will happen is if you turn on full AI control of the plane. When you're in the plane itself, go to the toolbar menu and then under "Flight Assistant". Under there you can turn on "AI Piloting" and it will take full control and even do the taxiing for you. You could just turn it off after it taxis.
Another option would be to just turn on the "taxi ribbon" which gives you blue arrows that guide you to the taxiways to use. That's under the main options, under Assistance Options > Navigation Aids > Taxi Ribbon.
When I go to flight assistant and try to turn on Landing & Taxi Guides, it does not allow me. I can’t click it and it is grey out. Can you help me?
Yes! Go to the main game settings, under Assistance Options, not in the flight assistant toolbar/panel.
How do I get the black lines on the taxi lines? Like at 2:26
I think that may be part of the "Enhanced Airport Graphics" add-on. It updates runways and taxiways. It should be available in the Marketplace.
@@KipOnTheGround ok thank you
Tbh anyone who doesn't know that the rudder pedals are used for the nose wheel steering shouldn't be playing msfs
🤣
Never flew a plane or know how to do anything just got flight sim and a toke to learn do you have any tips on things to watch to learn more?
