Breuer just sounds like the best kind of dude ever. Very cool, laid back, even keeled, transparent, understanding, well intentioned, and especially: funny fucking mate that can tell the best stories. Props for him for being able to be himself.

Yes, Christopher... as stated to many, that's why I housed these episodes on my channel - Jim's the man! Thanks for commenting :-)

It used to break my heart that my Mom died suddenly from a massive heart attack, but hearing stories like this I'm glad she was spared similar indignities.

Honestly, I know Ant didn’t MAKE O&A, but every time i see these O&J episodes I’m a little unoptimistic, and WOW.... this is one of the greatest episodes I’ve heard. I hope I have even an ounce of the courage and strength Breuer did when my parents pass.

No kidding, this episode is awesome. Breuer is legendary. I think it goes the same for both ways of episodes without Opie and episodes without Ant. It's really the guests that always brought the show to life

Jim is one of the most amazing comedians of all time. Listening to the end of this, this man has compassion beyond believe for his parents.

His family stories are just mesmerizing. I'm binge watching these, and it's like a time lapse photography thing of his parents disintegrating. Really sad and fascinating.

God. It must be hard to hear this as Jim. I daily let a heavy sigh at the thought of my dad or mom being like this in the next 10-15 years. Its like Enjoy the time they have. You have. Hearing those tapes just put my parents in my head. That was rough. I have never laughed and almost cried as much as i did then with Jim's stories. That one he told of his dad passing away killed me. Me and dad have fought and he has put me and my mom through hell but he is still my old man. 2:24:40 that hurt. My parents are to the age now they are starting to talk like this and it just ugh. But like he said in the other video i highly recommend you watch if you havent. He talks about how we are so scared of their deaths and nerves that when it happens its like ...Wow...all of that is just gone.

You can almost hear the gears turning in Opie's brain: "Breuer and I could make a great show together!" You know he sent an email to Jim pitching the idea.

I can actually hear some sharp-edged friction, here, between Breuer + Opie. Keeps shutting down Hughes' annoying-as-usual attempts to connect, yeah I have that same experience, yeah I saw that really old video of you, with a clearly-terse "Oh yeah" or "Dude, that was just last year." I bet Breuer was on Opie's $750-per-show paid roster.
