Carl Ynvar Christensen vs Eddie Robinson, the bodybuilder
I smash the like button on all your videos.
I think Nick's for the most part were all sets inside a workout seeing he used better control to isolate muscles. Ronnie's just throwing weight as Ronnie does basically. đ đ đ đ Be interesting to see Nick REALLY max his lifts, but he most likely won't gain anything excpet injury risk.
Great comparison video as usual only one other professional bodybuilder stronger than Ronnie Coleman that was late Dallas McCarver
Adolf Hitler
Nick is a hell of a lot stronger then I thought, lifting comprable weights in a lot of the lifts with picture perfect form. Absolutely insane.
Nicks form is exceptional, thats how to train while minimising risk of injury
His form actually isnât that good. No ROM if you have top genetics and take as much gear as him of course youâre gonna grow and get big.
@@allansmasterspowerlifting.390 haha dumbest shit ive ever heard
@@allansmasterspowerlifting.390 Keep in mind his muscles are enormous. Big muscles really limit mobility, so i would imagine this is his max ROM.
@@allansmasterspowerlifting.390 and you're half repping 2 plates on your profile, lol
Yates was the same but injurié arms leg
Great comparison Nicks form is absolutely impeccable
Thanks mate, agree, Nicks form is pretty good
Form 8ĂMr Olympia đ
@@frankcastle2045 well, these titles came with a great price
Ronnie is the King⊠but Nickâs control is amazing with such heavy weight. Much smarter approach considering all of Ronnieâs health issues now.
Ronnie had a back injury in school that required serious surgery and prevented him from playing professional football (his first love). Later in life, heavy lifting contributed more to that. But don't be ignorant to say all his injuries were from weight training.
@@ytsux9259
Well said, not to mention the failed and bad surgeries he endured, just compounding his already bad back injuries,
Nick is very young still. If he keeps doing what heâs doing, he will end up like McCarver.
@@ytsux9259 Ronnie hurt his back squatting in 1996 (dislocating a disk). He neglected it and kept training. Finally when he did get checked out he needed extensive surgery. This began his downward spiral of surgeries, some successful and some bad. BUT the problem is that he kept training heavy and intense which led to more problems and crushing nerves in his back and legs... Ronnie is the king but made terrible mistakes and because he didn't listen to his body he's confined to crutches and a wheelchair... Try to do your research before you comment...
@@up-statestrong4451 Agreed; many of us have been there. Meaning we just kept going and going, oblivious, even though the evidence was right in front of us.
Nick's form is perfect, he manages to control the weight totally, such an athlete to be looking foward
Kind of, his range of motion is a little bit questionable.
Dont look forward too far, he could very well be the next Dallas
@@mikoojala9099 I reckon he could at least touch his chest on the bench. There's been bigger people lifting with better ROM. I suppose whatever he's doing is working so who am I to say what he should be doing, but in terms of perfect lifting form that's a different matter.
@@J.c410 Sadly that's usually the case with people who seemingly blow up really fast. If you take enough drugs you pay the price very quickly.
He's not an athlete
NICK WALKER Form is perfect,And his techniques is perfect and negative control of the weight is amazing!đȘ
6:10 This Ultra-Legendary Rear Double Bi (incliding how smoothly he executes it) from đ at the 03 O is the most incredible single sight I have ever seen on a bodybuilding stage!
Ronnie Coleman in his peak was unstoppable.
Agreed Franco columbo was very strong pound for pound as well.
Larry Scott was best
@@allansmasterspowerlifting.390 for sure!
Larry wheels has something to say about that
@@NeonAnimeDreams I think you mean Scott ?
There's no way Nick can squat 800 lbs for 2 reps like King Ron.
definitely not a chance.
@@StrengthUniverse I believe Ronnie was a powerlifter before he became a bodybuilder
nick is smaller and lighter though
Iâm always shocked by how strong ronnie was back then with such low body fat. Freak of nature
Ronnie was a freak no doubt, even to this day only 2 bodybuilders have surpassed his strength.
@@NeonAnimeDreams which bodybuilders surpassed his strength and for which exercises ?
@earlcoles5215 larry wheels and Stan Effetding, pretty much all three main measures of strength, bench, DL and squat.
I think Ronnie still had both of them in leg press though.
@earlcoles5215 it's also possible Morgan aste was/is stronger but that's a tough call, he can bench more than Coleman but there's really no proof he could DL or squat more, he does claim a DL of 880lbs though.
@@NeonAnimeDreams a bodybuilder bragging about their strength is like a sprinter bragging about how far they can long jump. It's not relevant at all to what they do.... If anything it hurts them due to increased injury risk. It's just bragging rights
The majority of top bodybuilders don't even train the big 3 lifts. Flat bb bench is a waste of time for bodybuilders and a recipe for a pec tear. And deadlift ING heavy from the floor is too taxing on the CNS for as much frequency and volume as these guys train.
With all that said... Mccarver was stronger than ronnie by a decent margin. Even Luke Sandoe was pretty close.
There will never be another Ronnie Coleman
Great video again Strength Universe. As I always say, anyone who gets featured in How strong you are compared to Ronnie the GOAT Coleman series from you is ULTRA STRONG! Nick deserves his nickname!

Great to see you posting
Fun fact I share my b day with Mr coleman
Hard to compare as both are strong men đ
Nicks Military is more of a very steep incline press where Ronnie always did it with a straight vertical bench
True
yep it really irks me when people miss this point. A steep incline WITH AN ARCH = INCLINE CHEST PRESS> ITS NOT. A SHOULDER PRESS!!!
@@user-jp7ni5xv1r Technically, it's just a super high incline so it would be officially an incline press, although it will mimic a shoulder press more since you're closer to a shoulder press position than the typical incline position, so the weight you use will be much closer to what you would use on a shoulder press as opposed to an incline.
Also Ronnie wasn't using a seat that was straight up. The set was too small, and wasn't all the way up, so it was easy to cheat on. He was on an incline as well, you can tell just by watching. I didn't realize this until now, but it's important to note. I mean just by looking at both Nick and Ronnie you can tell very clearly neither is doing a fully straight shoulder press. People rarely do seated. Standing presses are a lot harder.
And the winner isâŠâŠRonnieâs orthopedic surgeon!đȘđ»đ€đ»
Each one of Ronnie's lifts was lightweight baby!
Watch your backđ
So this was your new video. Have u made this video before or am I misremembering something. It's such a shame that u had to delete lot of your fantastic videos.
It is buddy, trying to get a few videos made so I have a buffer......May only release 2 this week. I made one with Nick a long time ago but don't think it was against Ronnie
Coleman was a PowerBuilder, he even competed at PL. In both form and weights used you can see Nick is just 100% bodybuilding and hypertrophy.
Ronnie was a bodybuilder, that doesn't mean he's not strong. He never compete at a full meet. He just lifted some heavy-ass weight.
The idea of powerbuilding is retarded anyway.
Definitely,. Ronnie had experience powerlifting previously, and even was doing competitions during some of his bodybuilding career. So he has an advantage in strength because of that. Even when he trains bodybuilding he trains for strength in many instances as well, while Nick hardly ever does.
Make video on ronnie vs vector richards
Ronnie was stronger
For the rowing exercises, going heavy and keeping stiff legs puts pressure on the thighs, creating a stretch.... I've gotten leg pumps from this and decided to go to bending the knees.... it's about body mechanics, not idealistic/unrealistic form.
Another thing is that Ronnie's true max lifts were never recorded outside the 800lb squat.... 2000 off-season and 2001-early 2002- he was at his absolute strongest.... 545lb bench presses for over 8 reps, dumbbell shoulder presses at 180lbs for reps and 200lb max for 2 reps!!!!
The lifts in the video are all Ronnie Personal records....He has never done heavier off season of otherwise
And it only cost Ronnie his back. I was more impressed by Nick just because of the height difference alone, nevermind the emphasis on control.
May be this will bring something to the table, Nick is a shorter guy with shorter center of gravity and shorter limbs , this is optimal for powerlifting or compound movements, the deadlift will have a shorter trajectory for example, no disrespect to his effort and great control . In my opinion Ronnie was a more powerful bodybuilder with less drug abuse , although they all abuse but for my record Nick is taking it even further , you see it in the bone structure of his face , I hope he stays for a long while with us .
I'd like to see Jon Pall Sigmarsson vs Magnus Ver Magnusson or Magnus Samuelsson vs Svend Karlsen
Cool bro thx I big fan of ron bro I think if ron training for powerlifting not bb he can be match Larry numbers
I think nick has actually gone up to 200lbs on the overhead dumbbell press for 4-6 reps i believe and he has done 225lbs incline dumbbell press for 3 or 4 reps đ
He went up to 200lbs but received assistance throughout (no reps were completed unaided). It shows on screen during the Dumbbell press section of the video that Nick has press 225lb before for 3 reps (unassisted)
Nick's overhead presses have half the range of movement, partly due to him being a little person, but also due to Ron being stronger.
Nick's low rows are a significantly shorter range of motion.
Flat bench, same note^
Nick's angle is shallower on hack squat.
nick isolates the muscle for tireing, ronnie power lifts as much weight as possible
And who has more Mr. Olympias?
@@allansmasterspowerlifting.390 ronnie has. what's your point?
@atsekjoker the point I think he was trying to make is these super smooth time under tension exercises are bull shit, bodybuilders used to train like power lifters up until the mid 90s and looked amazing, Ronnie was a throw back to the era because he got his start in the mid 90s and never changed his style.
Isolation and squeezing the muscle at the top is good for bis and hamstrings not much else, you want alot of quality mass train like Ronnie and those before him, Dorian, Flex wheeler, Kevin levrone, Lee Haney, Arnold Swartzenegger ect.
@RadicalNeon_MuscleMachine heavy wont get you far, Lee Haney literally tells people to lift lighter and focus on the squeeze
@konev13thebeast Lee Haney wasn't as impressive as Ronnie and Kevin levrone who both lifted super heavy
Name of bgm?
At the incline dumbel press win go to ronnie cause is 5week out from m0 with 5% bodyfat and nick walker was on off season with much more bodyfat
I agree
He doesn't use full range of motion. The bar doesn't even touch his chest on the bench press, so he's totally bypassing the hardest portion of the movement.
you discredit ronnies 225 kg row set everytime it is so much harder to hang in there at the angle ronnie does it compared to those super upright rows that work rear delts almost as much as your lats
also if you move the weight the way ronnie does it you have to deaccelerate the weight at the bottom which is actually hard af to do
The hacks are both diff though. Weight is loaded at shoulder height for Ronnie, Nick's hack squat machine weight is loaded lower.
All hacks are different, or many are. You can't compare the machines.
Nick has a 3 to 1 rep cadence. Ronnie is power and speed
Long live the king đ
Do Nick Winters and how strong he is
Ronnie all day on this one... but they do work out differently and Ronnie weighs about 30lbs more than Nick. I am just pleased to see one of my PR's be competitive. lol... by best deadlift set last year was 250kg (551lb) for 8 repetitions. :) at half the size, twice the age and none of the supplements of these fellows at the time i did it. lol
"250kg (551lb) for 8 repetitions. :) at half the size, twice the age and none of the supplements". Damn impressive!
@@StrengthUniverse i exaggerate a little... lol... I was 225lb, 44 years old and not supplementing. So while not HALF their size and twice the age... a marked difference. lol
Finally Ronnie's streams steal the showđ
Chris Cormier tried to train with Ronnie once : he said that he was about to die the whole session lol.
3:15 dude did you not see the bands on nick's hacksquat?
No I didn't
Cool!
Although Ronnie would be realistically more stronger than Nick...if Form is not considered...and Nick can also use a lil bit of momentum then...maybe the result would be closer than expected
Even if we give nick the shoulder press for getting up to 9 with assistance and give him incline DB press he still loses.
Coleman retains his title in this one.
Next up, Coleman vs Joe mackey!
Wooooo!
It's no contest - Ronny is better, by far ...
The title says strength, so in that aspect, Nick's strength is no comparison to Ronnie's, but comparing really isn't relevant because these are two different body types, what works for 1 doesn't work for others. They each found what their bodies responded to.
Db shoulder press King is hitn all shoulders no triceps, Nick opposite, he's doing tricep lock outs more so.
Ronnie is power rowing, adding thick back mass.
I was just wondering today if you've ever done Jon Pall Sigmarsson.
Not yet
Such a great athlete. Unfortunately he died way too young of a genetic heart defect while dead lifting.
He did but had to delete later. I remember his video Comparing Sigmarsson to Magnuson.
To my knowledge Nick Walker is the winner, winning 4-5 out of 7 lifts. Ronnie is cut to shreds but Nick has more power. If Nick would get shredded up he will win the next Mr. Olympia cause he has it all, the double biceps, the huge quads.
I don't have a problem with Ronnie's form considering the amount of weights he's moveing but what doesn't make sense to me is nick only did 405 for 4 reps on flat but 200 pound dumbell incline press for alot more reps. In my prime I could do 400 for 8 on flat but couldn't come close to the 200 pound dumbells on incline. That's just odd to me.
405 for 4 half reps
And bro Ron at incline dp he did before the incline he did 200lbs dumbbells for 12 reps two sets so if Ron he did the incline first he will did more than 6 reps
Neck took the hack ezzy
Hack squat and dumbel press for Nick.
I agree but nick still loses, even if we give him all 3 of those lifts Ronnie still has 4 lifts on him.
I would very much like to know what each guy could curl though.
In my opinion nick deserve to win shoulder press & hack squat đ
The hack squat made no sense. All the hack squat machines vary a lot. They're so different.
Bro big ramy vs nick walker please

nick pulled the 260s on the incline...search it up đ
To be fair Ronnie should win cause he did very clearly state that it was all lightweight
Why not do a video on the damage to the skeleton on Ronnie Coleman and calculate the shear forces on the joints? Anyone who lifts that kind of weight for that many years is guaranteed to ruin their body. Although these were typical training sessions and not all out lifts in a competition its really not a good indication of how strong each of them were. The only true measure would be to have each athlete compete. I would pick Coleman in his prime in this example to win.
I don't agree with that at all. Everyone has different genetics and different joints. Ronnie may have been strong, but he may have had bad genetics in terms of being prone to injuries. I mean in sports it's clear that peoples bodies vary a ton in terms of who gets injured. That said, doing really heavy one rep maxes all the time while your body is already in extreme pain like Ronnies was is asking for trouble, and you almost definitely will experience some injuries. You won't necessarily ruin your body the way Ronnie did though. That would be VERY HARD to do. Keep in mind Ronnies back, stomach, and whole body were bothering him to the extreme for years and he kept forcing himself to do one rep maxes and crazy things. He even said he wouldn't see a doctor for anything unless he went unconscious, eventually he was forced to which was his first surgery. I mean he hurt his back in highschool really bad, so this was a continuation as well. He continued being stubborn, and going super heavy with pain. The surgeons messed up multiple surgeries, so all this led to 15 surgeries. Heavy lifting in general is very good, and strengthens connective tissue and prevents injuries when done right. Mike Ohearn is almost 60 and still goes extremely heavy, but he does it right, and stays away from 1 rep maxes. Steroids are big too, as heavy juicers always get hurt a lot as opposed to naturals. Just saying, Ronnie is not typical, and that it would be hard to ruin your body like that, but you have to use some intelligence when going heavy. You can't be reckless every time or you will develop damage. Sorry this was long, but this was basically Ronnies story and how it happened to him.
King Ron all day
King Ronnie Coleman
Ron is King forever
Nick is not at an age where his strength with have peaked yet, and his form is so much better. Having shorter levers will help as well....so time will tell, but strong as he is, I am not sure he will match Ronnie.
Didnât realize Nick isnât that good at the bench
Nick just never does barbell bench though. There is only 1 video of it I think. If his body gets used to it he would be A LOT stronger. Notice he's stronger at dumbbells, and that never happens. It only happens for Nick because he only does dumbbells. If he started practicing barbell his barbell bench would go up fast.
Dude be taking ronnies team like no other, he just hatin on nick
its a shame that even a video was made for this comparison
Why better control? Bc Nick was using slower cadence,? Ronnie is so strong 200 bells are light so he can lift them fast and in control as well. Equating slower movement to control isn't always accurate. Ronnie looked like he was controlling the weight but powerbuilding, strength building, building thick muscle mass . You only get by moving heavy weights.
And bro Ron at incline dp he did before the incline he did 200lbs dumbbells for 12 reps two sets so if Ron he did the incline first he will did more than 6 reps
Correct, that's why I gave it a draw instead of the win to Nick
Ronnie is bigger and more powerful perhaps, but I would guess that Nick is "getting more out of less weight" and probably won't be on crutches/wheelchair in his 50s
Heâs not gonna even live through his 50s more than likely unfortunately
@allansmasterspowerlifting.390 nope, Nick is going the way of Dallas, taking way to much gear.
Who cares about range of motion and control..just lift the dang weight.. Ronnie wins
Even if some see it differently, ronny has ruined his health with these extremely heavy weights. Bodybuilders are not weightlifters! Ronny would have won just as often with less weight and more control.
I don't understand how they grow muscle training with such heavy weights.
Lifting heavier and heavier strains and tears your muscles which helps them grow if given a proper protein diet.
@@xeji4348 how do I know this is optimally heavy for me
@Aaryan Sharma if you can do a bunch of repetitions without a lot of strain then it's too light. But if you can't do 10 reps with proper form then it's too heavy.
Honestly, you have to try different weights and see which is that middle ground where you have enough strain to get a pump but not too much to where you can't even do a few sets without giving out or Loosing proper form.
Once you find that weight, you can perform 6-8 sets of around 8-12 reps (with good form) for proper muscle building. If you want more in-depth info, I know some youtubers who give excellent advice
Nick is A BEAST
How strong is Ronnie Coleman vs Nick Walker? Very simple to say... He is just like Luke Cage vs Juggernaut.
And I didn't needed neither the video for absolutely no little help to any either info because I'm what I am.
đ
Wheelchair strong
Nick surely must have been injured when he bench pressed 184kg for 5 assisted reps if he has already db pressed 102.5kg for 3 reps
Those were different times in his career, and Nick never barbell benches. He has no experience in that lift at all, literally. If he started doing it his weight used would go up a ton on that.
Entraban diferente nic Walker prefiere menos peso y mĂĄs repeticiones y Coleman al contrario mĂĄs peso menos repeticiones
I think Coleman is using gloves not wraps.
He is using wrist wraps, i checked while making the video
Ronnie is the best
Ronnie Coleman is the most number one strongest bodybuilder in history of bodybuilding
Stan Efferding and Kyle Kiray are stronger
not out to be a pain in the ass but you use the words most successful mr'O of all time. do you consider his physical state a success, not sure he does. i pay the price for going to far every day . like the hell out of what i see in Nick"s approach
Nick will be a 3 time Mr olmpia
The Giant Ronnie Coleman without a Doubt! Nick Walker is a little man! Far less cut!
Ronnie blows him away on almost everything. Nick is only half repping on the bench which doesnât count in any type of bench contest. Both you straps on the Deadlift. Ronnie blows him away. Iâve actually done 5 reps with 545 on the deadlift without straps or a belt at 54 years old. Obviously im too fat to be a bodybuilder but have no desire lol. I am a big fan of the classic look. Pre-Dorian Yates.
Hack squat is 100% nick
Ronnie is stronger
This dude in the video is so biased everytime Nick wins he makes an excuse to give it a draw.
So you think that the fact that Ronnie is depleted from going to failure in the previous exercise while Nick was lifting fresh and that Ronnie was only 5 weeks out from the Mr Olympia while Nick was in the Off season shouldn't affect the outcome? Or is there a particular lift you don't think should have been a draw?
@@StrengthUniverse first off how do you know that was Nick's first exercise? Also if Nick was dieting I believe he could jerk weight up like Ronnie did, Ronnie was jerking the weight Nick was lifting the weight big difference.
It's a bit sad to see Nick. He is a monster and he works hard - no doubt. But he will never be Mr. O. He doesn't have a pretty physic.
No one bets ronnie
Better from Nick all the way itâs harder to do
Ronnie does not have Nick's leverage advantage, yet, is more the explosive and stronger. Ronnie carries the muscle more aesthetically. I thought Nick would be far stronger on flat bench (was there some pre-exhaustion that is missing from the video because 4 reps with 405 and 9 reps with 200 lbs dumbbells on an Incline does not equate. Being that strong with dumbbells on an incline suggests a flat bench max of between 550-650 pounds on flat. Stan Efferding at 275 was benching 610 with a pause and getting 6 reps with 495 on the incline press and using 220 pound dumbbells for a few reps. There are guys stronger than Stan on Flat bench, however, who Stan can out perform on that Incline press. Bodybuilders often ok prioritize incline work and can get close to and in very rare instances exceed flat press numbers. The amount by which Nick's incline press seems to exceed his flat press based on this video does not make any sense.
How can Nick, who has the best leverage and has more you muscle given his height have a bench way lower than the 215 lb tren twins? Something does not add up.
Bodybuilders just dont train heavy anymore.
Which is understandable but sad at the same time
Crazy how Nick grew his shoulders so much that they can't not take over in the dumbell press. Explains why his pecs are so relatively small considering what they can seemingly do. That and genetics. Dude has been dealt some dumbass cards đ
Ronnie will always ne the king đđđ
It this video made for joke purpose. Rc8 compare with today's bodybuilder. LoL
Nick barely presses 405
I'm sure he is capable of much more based on how much he can db press. Fact he has elbow sleeves but not in his other pressing videos indicates he was carrying an injury
I doubt Nick Walker is 5' 7".
