- We're here playing some Street Fighter 3: Third Strike! Today we're investigating a character who doesn't see a lot of love in the rest of the Street Fighter series, it's Necro! Necro is a really unique rushdown character with unconventional neutral but very high damage and stun potential with his insane juggle combos and super. I'll be running through what the character is capable of, then hopping online against my friend Mothman to see what this character can do in the right hands!

Chun-Li's only weakness is that she doesn't have big damage without bar, which doesn't matter too much, since the range of her normals means she can lame the hell out if she gets health advantage.
@@ab14967 Yep, for sure. This is also where I’d point to the bit in this video where they talk about how most of 3S is about single stray hits and footsies, which Chun is the best at on top of having the best confirms into super in the game

@@ab14967 Don't forget Chun is constantly building meter each time she presses a button, cause someone at Capcom thought whiffing unpunishable normals was a perfectly reasonable way of filling the ex bar.
@@tracepalmatier9696 3S Chun is one of the few characters in fighting games who hit confirms super off her OPPONENT'S hits.
SF6 is Necro's best shot at returning. He looks like a horror game character, and SF6 is using the engine of a horror game.

I dunno, he looks weird to me. Not creepy, just weird. Strive's Faust for example IS kinda creepy, Necro on the other hand not really
He'd have to be DLC, since we know the entire launch roster and he's not in it. I'd love for him to make a return though.

Also street fighter 6 is focusing a lot on street fashion and character archetypes n stuff and I think necro would look right at home in street fashion as our resident stretchy punk.
I like him. He looks weird but not off-putting like Fang. Aesthetically, he really is a mashup of Blanka and Dhalsim.
I dont know why people think Fang is offputting. He’s clearly inspired from those funny older fungfu movie villains (look at the twins from kung fu hustle).

To be honest, Necro and Twelve need a second chance. Basically every other SF3 character has come back except them and Sean, who still had some story relevance in SFV. Even Q came back in a way, through G
Bring back robo q. Since sf6 takes place after 3 we can get q instead of g

Sadly, I doubt we're ever going to get two stretchy guys in one game or that Capcom would pass Dhalsim over for the spot after the "Where are my World Warriors?" backlash that made SF III into such a financial disaster at launch. Thinking Remy's permanently sidelined for the same reasons.
But one can dream, I suppose.
Remy's whole arc was "fighting sucks, i hate fighting, why people even do it" his 3rd strike ending makes him be done with fighting, which has been the ending of other returning characters before, but it was more "i think im too old for this shit" instead of downright hating being a fighter

I mean, we have had Balrog and Dudley in one game despite them being the same archetypes

Pro tip: every hit of Necro's drill kick is low-parriable against grounded opponents. This will help in those ambiguous situations.

@@myyoutubeaccount4167 yeah, its just classic ingenious Capcom game design. If you can react to that specific move consistently, it eliminates the guessing game around it, making it better to go for the parry most of the time.
Bring Back Necro = 100% agree. Great character design.
I really hope they bring some 3rd strike characters to sf6. Specifically Sean and Dudley and maybe Remy
I did not like remy's model in 3S, but concept art was awesome. I'd love to see an updated version of him.

Necro seems like my kind of character, good mid-range pokes and big stun/damage numbers. I can tell that if they add him in SF6 new players are going to complain because of those two aforementioned characteristics.
Edit: Now this would never happen but I could see Necro being a guest character in a Darkstalkers game.

I used to see people complain that he is "Just dhalsim copy" meanwhile how many fucking "Shoto style" characters we have on the games? (By "Shoto style" i mean this setup: Fireball, Uppercut, "Tatsu")

Necro is my jam in third strike! I always use Blanka and my backup was Dhalsim so imagine my depression when I saw none of them were in this game...Enter Necro! What an incredible coincidence they just fused them into one person in sfIII. My favorite sfIII character and I hope he pops his elongated face in SF6

I like Necro a lot, he's a funny combination of weird and cool and I think there's a lot more to him than other "freak" characters like Blanka. Totally wanna see him return in SF6.

It's kind of weird hearing Necro being called a 'Streetfighter 3 3rd strike' character, kind of like calling Guile a 'Super Streetfighter 2 champion edition' character. It's technically correct I suppose.
Tbf there aren't a lot of people that care about new generations or 2nd impact.
Necro, Q, Dudley, Elena, and Sean should all return for SF6

A local barcade I frequent plays a weekly 3S tourney and one of the tenders sometimes runs Necro. He looks fun as fuck.
Necro is super cool, I also recently fell in love with Remy after watching one of feetwork101s videos. I haven't played this game almost at all, I do watch it from time to time, but I'm glad for this and that to open my eyes to these characters. Hope we see them soon!

I've been campaigning for Necro back when SF5 still had dlc characters coming out. While not many people like him or even know him I consider him my favorite SF character. I hope that he can come back in SF6 so much. Really hope Capcom knows we want him back.
I get the feeling he’d fit the artistic style better in sf6 than in sf5. I also want to see high detailed necro lol

I really enjoyed the camaraderie of this as much as the top notch plays.
I love using Necro to shake things up from time to time, he's a fun character I feel like he has some of the best normals and pokes in the game his links are super fun too.

Necro also has 2 jumps. His float anf his fast ass super jump from holding down and jumping right after, he even kind of after images

Given the story of third strike, it wouldn't have made sense for necro to be included in the past games. but he neeeds to be included in 6, it would be a tragedy if he was absent

Necro is one of my favorite SF characters of all time. He looks and plays awesome! I use him the most in Third Strike. He definitely gets slept on.

This is kind of a long shot but, have you thought about making a video of the differences between the 3 SFlll games? I was looking for one today because i wanted to see how the game changed, but i didnt find any.

Would like to see a new SF that is like Third Strike with useable taunts, parries, and three different options for supers. Q is such a great character, as well as Remy, Necro, Alex, Sean and such. Although some supers were more useful than others, it was still cool as they could provide for different strategies. Tengu stones is a great example of this, completely changes the character but even his command throw one does quite a lot of damage if landed a couple times with some great animations.
I like the idea of where you get to pick 2 or 3 characters.

SF 6 would have been the perfect return for Necro. They could remove dhalsim and blanka and just give us Necro instead.

Necro at leats appears in a sfv stage in the background, so we know how he looks in a 3d model. Remy hasnt been in sf since 3rd strike! He has only ONE show up i the whole series!! Thats crazy sad, i hope they add him for sf6

With Dhalsim and Blanka both in sf6 necro has almost no chance of making it back unless they completely change him as a Fighter because his style is literally those two combined.
