@@SNAFU..If you consider this a toy then you have no idea what you're talking about.
@@SNAFU.. That makes two of us.
SNAFU, and a real bore too.
I served in Vietnam from March 1969 to May 1969 as an infantry grunt in I Corp out of Danang. In mid March at noon we spotted a group of probably VC humping rations and ammo from the coastal rivers to the mountains up a deep valley. We called in an artillery strike initially and followed that up with an aerial strike which turned out to be to F4s. The aircraft unloaded several 1,000 lb bombs and followed that up with napalm and several gun runs . We sent a patrol into the valley to do a damage assessment. All they found were body parts. Bad day for the VC.
Oh WOW!😳
deepfried braised and tenderized.
Nice to see a well made model flown so well and at scale speed instead of screaming around like a bullet
Yes agreed!
It does look incredible scale this way
It drives me crazy when they look like they are breaking the sound barrier.
@@geraldturner9764 that would be scale for a F4
@@davefoord1259yeah but the sound wouldnt match up and it would just be weird since an rc jet like this wouldnt be able to break the sound barrier
OMG! That was the most realistic flight and piloting I have ever seen! This was Academy Award Material! My compliments to the builder and pilot. THATS HOW ITS DONE STUDENTS!!
Sorry I was flying within my budget, honestly though that 40 dollar amazon helicopter is still pretty fun 😢.
Agreed! Great flight!
Indeed !!!
I know, right? So many times you'll see footage of a really nice model squirrel its way down the "runway" and pop into the air like a kid on his bedroom floor with a Corgi toy. Then they maneuver in unrealistic ways and bounce onto the ground. This was immersive.
Absolutely. None of thatjerky flight that distracts from reality. Impressive.
The Phantom F4 is one of the most beautiful good looking plane.
Agreed!
Proof that with enough power even a brick can fly.
Which variant?
@@vimfuego8827 F4E for looks and armament. F4J had the best avionics of any air to air phantom. Its sad the F4 never lived up to its full potential in U.S servies. The best F4''s currently are flown by the Greek Airforce. Roomer has it they can shoot any U.S missile that the U.S has exported and has the same radar as early F15's with lookdown shoot down capabilty something that the U.S air force phantoms never had.
Until they have been at sea for a few weeks. When flying off a carrier they get covered with soot from other aircraft maneuvering on the flight deck, then get rained on and black streaks everywhere and that's not even counting the hydraulic leaks. F4 was a hydraulic fluid sprinkler. The RC plane would be more realistic if owner could make black smoke from the engines.
One of the best-looking fighter jets of all time!
Yes!🙌
Agreed!
This could be the most realistic flying model I’ve ever seen,
Great airplane great model great flying skills!
🙌
I was a weapons Specialist on the F4-E in 1968 at Eglin AFB, Fla. The E model was the first and only F4 that had a 20mm Gatling gun mounted in the nose! Six thousand rounds a minute but only carried around 300. This was due to weight restrictions and melting too many gun barrels if fired too long. It was a precursor to the A10 30mm set up. What a fantastic aircraft which could still be flying today! Great model and flight skills. Thanks for the fond memories
Very cool memories!
I’am a retired Flight mechanic from McDonnell Douglas / Boeing in St.Louis.
I’ve been to Eglin AFB many times for flight testing but with the F-15 brand new plane from the factory from STL. I also used to fire the 20mm gun on the F-15 at the factory in STL though we only fired the gun every other block of A/C so not that often, they don’t fire the gun now days the Air Force does that when they receive the
A/C.
Did you go to Korat from Eglin with the F4Es
@@earljones1846 Korat isn’t that in Thailand? No I never have.
I only worked on the F-4 during its last two years in production. When I hired on at MDC in 1978 and I worked on the F-4 upper center section. Laid off a couple of times I also worked on ship #3 F-18 final assembly I later on worked on the AV8B Harrier final assembly then I moved up to the flight line out on the ramp to the F-15 delivery for rest of my career and travelled quite a bit around the U.S. and overseas. I worked on all models of the F-15 except the newest ones being made today.
Just speechless. I can't find a word to describe how much this video means to me. Japan's Air Defense Force was using F-4 as a reconnaissance aircraft only few years ago. I went to see the retirement air show. Deep respect for this fighter being at the front to protect my country. Thank you guys! Thank you!
Thank you for watching!
Stunning quality of flying and craftsmanship. The only flaw keeping it from being truly realistic is that there aren't two long trails of black smoke behind it!
YES! Thanks for watching!
We will fix it in post !!😂😂
Without any scale references in sight, you'd swear it was the real deal! Top-notch work, mate! Cheers from Patagonia!
Thanks!😊
The best part is the scale flying. What a fantastic model.
Agreed! They did a great job on this one!
I have no words...just beautiful.
😎
That has to be the best looking F4 I have ever seen, the scale the look ,the sound ,could pass for a full size jet very smooth flight pilot is a beast
Thanks for watching!
That is the peak of RC flying. The size, speed, smoothness, you're doing everything right. This is Hollywood quality. Hands down, the best I've seen.
Wow, thanks!😊. Appreciate it!
One of my late uncles flew a Phantom in Vietnam. Another of my uncles flew an F6F Hellcat in WWII and was an ace.
😎🙌
Beginning in 1984 I was stationed at MCAS (Marine Corps Air Station) El Toro, CA. My Squadron was VMFP-3. We flew the RF-4B (Reconnaissance) F-4 with deployments predominantly in the Western Pacific (Asia). Although we were transitioning to the F-18 and relocating most of El Toro to Miramar (Fighter Town, aka "Top Gun") in 1993 following congressional decision to close El Toro and decommission the F-4 it remains my favorite aircraft and is truly one of the greatest to fly. This RC model is astonishing to watch. With that much attention to detail and visual flight ability, I might have to purchase one myself. Semper Fi!
Thanks for watching and that's such a cool memory!
Semper Fi Fellow Marine. I was stationed in MCAS Kaneohe Bay, Hi exactly 20 years b4 you were at El Toro. VMA 225(Vagabonds) Went to ChuLai in 1965.
Forgot to mention in above, We had A4 s(Skyhawks), Bill
Back in the 70's we lived close to homestead air force base. My daily ritual if I finished my homework in time, was to see the Phantoms take off and land.
You've done a great job recreating the look of the F-4, except you have to find a way to get power plants to belch out black soot like the monstrous J79 GE 2. 👍😉
Very cool memories! Thank you for watching!
That was simply amazing, what an aircraft and the skill involved in flying that bird, Respect to you sir......
Thanks for watching!
One of the best Phantoms I’ve ever seen…outstanding detail, build, and piloting!
We agree!
This isn't a model, it's a aircraft in its own right. Obviously cost a fortune to build. It's absolute perfection!
Yes, agreed!
Beautifully flown too!!
Thank you! Cheers!
My heart was in my throat praying that this labor of love wouldn’t crash.
👍
Excellent!! Looks and sounds like the real thing! I almost expected to see a drag chute pop out on landing!
Just what i was thinking,,worked on these in the RAF in the 70`s great aircraft ....
@@1tonyboat My introduction to the F4 Phantoms was in December 1966 when we'd just moved to Niceville, FL (dad was in USAF and was in his final years of service before retirement) and we happened to live right where military aircraft flew low overhead preparing to land at Eglin AFB which was a few miles away. These F4's (along with many other USAF aircrafts) would pass overhead very low literally every few minutes apart daily. The Phantoms immediately stood out due to it's unusual design of the wings and rear stabilizers and, of course, the noise of those twin engines. For me, from that time until November 1969 (when we had to move again) it was like having our own airshow daily 24/7. Really miss living there.
Very Cool Memory!
That is superb and I think some of the best scale model flying. A lot of these model jets are too fast, this model and the pilot are fantastic. Well done sir. 👍👍👍
Was quite a site to see for sure! Very excited to have one coming to the shop!
Got no words really,I'm quite amazed.
It's stunning for sure!
Awesome. The sound almost doesn’t match the slow flight speeds-like it should be going faster. Must be a light plane looked like it had no problem lifting off. 😎
Yes for sure. It came in right at 100lbs.
The F4 is probably my favorite looking fighter. Always loved their look.
So cool.
I was an AT onboard the USS Forrestal in '74-'75. Brings back memories!
Very cool! Thanks for watching!
Excellent vid. I know I have asked before, but when you get the opportunity to have a pilot do a "walk around" on something, especially Andreas, please do the interview :)
🙌😎
I too am familiar. Spent 34 years in USMC Aviation an was involved with the RF4B Phantoms until they were phased out. These were Photo Recon birds and the fastest of all of the Phantoms. I was in Avionics which gave me opportunities to fly the back seat as Recon officer. It was great and also I was in Nam in '69 and '70. This model is absolutely amazing. Thanks for posting this and Semper Fi, ~Dave
Beautiful aircraft and expertly flown. The scale speed makes it oh so realistic.. In the immelman type climbs the speed is held throughout.
Agreed! They did a great job!
Awesome. What an EPIC PIECE of Kit.😊😅😂
It sure is!😎
A very impressive model and a very impressive bit of flying. Nice touch having the canopy open as it taxied back after landing.
😎
I love watching these large scale planes and jets (this F4, SR71, B17, B25, B2, Fokker D7, Sopwith Camel, etc) flying. They look and sound like the real ‘bird’ . Also must compliment the pilot. Excellent flying and demonstration.
Couldn't agree more!
So stable inflight. Usually RC models jink and move about in flight. Testimony to the quality and overall design.
Yes for sure! Great Design and very well constructed!
Wow!!!!!!!! I like how he did not taxi this fantastic model like a raceing car like many do.
I agree!
What more can I say that hasn't already been said. Absolutely Stunning "ALL AROUND". Thank You for posting.
Thanks for watching!
That is a gorgeous model. Looks, flies, and sounds beautiful.
Thanks! CARF did a great job on it for sure!
These men are insane! That is beautiful. While crewing in Huey's in '69-'70 down south, we would see them low level (for them) heading into Cambodia. We did our thing, they did theirs. What a beautiful model. Praise goes to the dedicated "Rocket Scientists" who made this happen.
Yes CARF did a great job on this aircraft!
The appearance, sound, and flight envelope of these incredible creations is fast approaching that of the real thing. I can foresee a time when airshows are punctuated by rare types being displayed to the crowd in model form. 👽🛩
🙌
I like the way the pilots are flying this jet. Nothing to crazy and easy on the eyes to keep up with and watch.
Totally agree! They did a great job!
Outstanding flying! One of my good friends (now passed) flew F4s in Vietnam. Put two of them into the South China Sea. Joked that he kept waiting for the Navy to send him a bill. :-) Beautiful model.
LOL. Thanks for watching!
Watched these many times working out of the Flight Deck Lighting Shop on the USS Independence. VF-41 & VF-84 were on board at the time. It was 1968 Med Cruise. Great times.
Nice work on the scale model and nice work flying that F-4. Kudos.
Thanks for watching!
Awesome model, skilled pilot, nice camera work. I'd be afraid to fly it myself. Thanks for sharing.
You and me both!
""Wow sounds like the real thing. Brilliant. ❤️ 💪
😎
Beautiful model both in building and flying. Reminds me of my 'NAM days, F4Cs in S .Carolina and then Wild Weasels in Germany.
Well said! They did a great job with this aircraft!
The Phantom looks wicked even sitting on the ramp, like it can’t wait to go kill something.
😎
Tolles Modell mit unglaublichen Langsamflugeigenschaften für ein superrealistisches Flugbild. Hab ich so noch nicht gesehen!
😎
Awesome achievement 😎👋💯
Hope to see it live in action soon 😎
🙌
That was awesome! A real joy to watch. One thing you could add to really sell it would be a hint of dark smoke from the engines. The F-4 had dirty exhaust that you could see from a distance.
Thanks!
Beautiful bird.
It's only missing one thing: Smoke.
👍
EXTREMELY scale all the way around. The ONLY thing screaming a model is that year Phantom wouldve had the smoking J79s and theres no howl! Best F-4 model Ive seen yet. Fantastic!
😎🙌
Awesome just Awesome.
Beautiful scale RC aircraft, my hats off to the pilot and builder. 👍👍
😎🙌
im retired Navy Aviation ABH. Plane captain F4N, Marianas boat lift, squadrons 171, 103, 101,Lebanon HMS 243, 245, 246. LPH inchon, cvn Eisenhower/America. flight deck director(yellow shirt).
with that said....your phantom is amazing. the sound is even accurate!? i have a couple suggestions. 1) your radome could be equipped with camera, forward of nose gear (RF4). your forward nose gear needs CAT extend. i noticed your tail hook was down...in flight, secure that thing! if you ever used it? the torque alone would damage A/C. maybe an authentic Drag Chute...short run ways. why all drop tanks? they hurt aerodynamics? centerline tank is enough.
with these additions, your landing will be easier, shorter. photos and videos from RF4 will be awsome. less weight, faster, fly longer.
thank you so much! i watch over and over.❤
Thanks for watching. Just an FYI. All the bells and whistles were left off due to the weight limit of 100lbs. This aircraft came in at 99.9 lbs. Has a chute but left off for this flight.
Great Model,Great Flying.Thankyou for sharing.Really impressive
Many thanks!
First and foremost ...what a stunning jet flown with superb scale flying skills....but secondly... what an incredible, beautiful flying site! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
She’s fast, wish there was a cockpit view.
🙌😎
In many ways better than watching videos of the Mach loop! ...Hats off
Thank you!
That was simply BEAUTIFUL
THanks for watching!
The nicest and most realistic model of a Phantom I´ve ever seen! Phantastic flight, like original! But I like the Nam-Camouflage better!
Thanks!
Beautiful scale flying. Looks real
Thank you very much!
The F-4 Phantom is an amazing jet every air force all air forces.
For Sure!
Wow can't believe its a model fantastic flying sir. 👍🇬🇧
Thanks for watching!
Excellent scale model of this gorgeous jet. Great flying too!
Indeed it is!
Superb product, build, performance and piloting. 🏆
🙌
I’m simply blown away. So impressed. Well done!
Outstanding…can’t wait for the build!
🙌😎
Nice and scale! LOVE it!
Glad you like it! Thanks for watching!
Bravo to the builder and flyer
CARF did a great job on this!
The juxtaposition of a severely dihedral wing ahead of a severely anhedral empennage still make it just about the prettiest fighter aircraft in history. Great model.
HAHA. Well Said!
Amazing. So gracefully flown.
They did a great job!
What a stunning looking bit of kit. 👍👍
It really is! 😎
One of my favorite warbirds, the phantom is awesome and I love the stalky look to them. I will be adding one to my collection sooner than later.
Good choice!
If men were to marry aircraft, I’d choose the F4. Curves and looks in all the right places 😂.
🤣🤣 well said!
I feel that way about the F-14.
@@mothygryphon9111 I could marry both 😂
What a superb model. The F4 Phantom was probably the most bad-ass-looking fighter of all time, it has "I'm coming to get you" written all over it.
Smooth flying, and the speed appears just right for the scale. Nice last-moment save at the landing, too. Buttered it.
Well done and well done.
Couldn't agree more! Thanks for watching!
Pretty soon you will be able to give a little kid a ride in one😊
HAHA. No kidding!
Lovely landing
😎
Beautiful. It's a wicked looking machine.
😎
Absolutely positivily incredible 😊
Thanks
Stunning model. Masterful flying
They did a great job for sure!
That pilot is awesome!...
😎
Great looking phantom!
CARF Models did a stellar job on this one!
Nice landing
🙌
WOW,sooooo smmooooooooooth. And the best looking fighter jet ever made.
😎🙌
Awesome aircraft F4!
🙌
Is the first time that I see an so realistic fly for airmodel scale
😎🙌
Very accomplished flight
Thank you!
Đẳng cấp 👍👍👍
😎👍
Excellent video.. glad I was there to see it in person.. The “Black Aces” soon to be at TLSRC.. looking forward to it…. 🤩
Thank you! Looking forward to having the first production kit in the shop!😎
Love the realistic inertia of these large scale models.
Yes! When they get large like this they are definitely more realistic!
wow! Looks amazing!
😎🙌
Beautiful!
🙌😎
I was a Crewchief on F-4D's back in the 80's before they got mothballed at DM or shot down as radio controlled targets as QF-4's . Nice looking plane there !
Thanks for watching!
Brilliant model making and flying
Amazing work from CARF!
It finally needs a smoke machine for the immense exhaust if F4s 😊
Phantastic.
YES!!!
Super !!!! Bravo !!!!
😎
Totally amazing
THanks for watching!
Now that is what i call awesome damn good looking giant RC model
Totally agree!
