    I've made lamps using this technique, laminating different woods to create the original blank. They turn out really cool. I really like the very helpful stuff you continually put out here on the interwebs. Thanks James!

    Drill some holes! They can line up internally for dowel pins, and this makes glue-up and setting much simpler, as alignment is fixed.
    The holes on the faces of the uncut form will come together, so the holes just need to be level and equally spaced from the uncut edges on each face, no measuring around corners needed.

      Bigger parts were partially made by bending a young tree long before it was going to be felled! (when wooden ships were still in use)

    I watch a lot of woodworking videos. This is one of the better videos I’ve seen in terms of clear, concise instruction and you even brought up what can go wrong and how to prevent it. I watched the video one time and I will never forget how to do it. Good job, I wish more creators followed this recipe for being user friendly.
