  • In Part 2 of our look at Alphabets and writing systems black people have given to the world, we travel to East Africa. Watch this video to find out how something called the Ge'ez script has a much older origin than you could ever imagine and how ths origin goes back to Africa despite establishment attempts to wrestle it from Africans. At the end of the video is a challenge to the viewer. Special thanks goes out to our Ethiopian friends (you know who you are!) who helped with some of the information in this video.

Keep up the good work and keep shining the light on our beautiful continent! But with all due respect your timeline is incorrect: if the Hawulti monument pre-dates the Aksumite Empire, by defintion it will have been completed before 400AD. The Aksumite Empire existed between 150BC and 940AD.

A lot of archeologists are starting to do the same thing with the Incan culture in Peru. They had superior math, a profound metaphysical philosophy system and stone melting technology.
While a lot of the ancient structures ARE pre Incan and EXTREMELY ancient, there are megalithic structures that where never completely finished in the inca style but you can see that someone continued fusing and cutting in a European style but with the same Incan Technology.
Then there's a painting I saw in s Peruvian church that had been built on top of a megalithic Incan structure, like the construction was starting by Incas and finished by both Incas and Spanish.
There is a painting on the wall and its style is hard to determine. I can’t tell is its Inca or Spanish.
It CLEARLY is a painting of a dark skinned wealthy Inca Man walking happily with his arm around a white skinned European woman.
The dress style of both of them is a mixture of elegant European and Incan clothing and they are obviously wealthy.
The painting is EXTREMELY old looking, and somehow the catholics that have owned this site have allowed it to stay there for hundreds of years.
There's a lot about history we don’t know

It seems to me that the standard level of cognitive dissonance in relation to Afrocentrism and the development of African civilisations is that people never travelled north. My issue with that always will be that the name "upper Nile" indicates the top and by that logic it would mean those who colonised and named the area would have been travelling downward from their to the "lower Nile". I look forward to all the haters and deniers jumping in, and while I am certainly no expert I will fight my corner against you all !!

But your argument here is just "but that doesn't make sense" without coming with an alternative or explaining why it doesn't make sense.
Yes, Ge'ez descends from Sabean. This is well attested. Sabean descends from proto-sinaitic, it shares a lot of the same letters. Proto-sinaitic in turn descends from Hieroglyphs, and proto-sinaic is also the ancestor of Phoenecian, from which the Latin, Greek, Hewbrew and Arabic scripts descends.
It seems your problem with it is that people call it "Old South Arabic" more than they call is "Sabean" because if they call it Sabean you can claim it's from Africa, but of course, we don't know who invented it, and I don't really see how it makes a difference where it was invented. Loads of people have invented loads of scripts all over the place, including Africa. Which scripts have become popular is mostly a question of accident than design.
