Takaya and the Protagonist interacting with each other!!! On the og their only exchange was on the Moonlight Bridge before the boss fight
It's not only by the fact that Takaya is the a "Anti-Christ" and the Protagonist "The Savior"
Their Personas are Thanatos and Hypnos, twin brothers and sons of Nyx! That's the kind of interaction and symbology I love in this franchise 😤
Thanatos isn't his persona, he just used the power of Ryoji at that point, that power completely leaves him with Ryoji does and he can only ever use it again with fusion
@@arzfan29 Well that isn't even a Thanatos persona, that is a Death shadow. A fully berserk entity with no obedience.
Far as I remember Thanatos is necessary to fuse Messiah, together with Orpheus, so the thematic foundation of his role as a savior builds off of his being a fool that embraced death rather than denying it.

But in order to fuse Messiah you need Orpheus and Thanatos respectfully (and let's no forget the amount of promotional material where Thanatos is featured with the Protagonist, instead of Orpheus, poor thing)

I belive Thanatos and Kaguya both fall in the same category of Personas you get for bonding with the human avatars of the final bosses from each game(Ryoji and Marie respectively)

Being rescued by Mitsuru and getting the chance to sit on the back of her bike made all of this worth
Not much rescuing but the ride was more then enough to make up for it.
And technically Makoto ride that bike twice. In the anime film, after Fuuka first awakens her Persona. Makoto rides Mitsuru’s bike from the dorm all the way to Tartarus.

Probably one of the best additions to Reload. Persona 3 was one of the rare RPGs of the top of my head where the god/entity-based villain(Nyx) was a lot better than the human villains(Strega). Usually in RPGs, the human villains tends to be a lot better and more fleshed out than the god/entity ones.

I think it’s interesting. It’s cleary based on Abaddon, but mutated and deformed, and it’s not like the Shadows seen since it also lacks a mask, and replaces its two eyes with numerous red ones.
Former Persona. What I want to know is who the fuck actually carried him. If we assume strength is shared across the games, that would be an insanely powerful persona to awaken to.

I think this was a person, In P1 and P2 there were people who turned into demons because they couldn't control their personas, he also dropped an evoker
@nhq4162 There are like several different persona users which are discussed but the specifics aren't really covered. I mean, we saw Medea outside the dark hour. That shouldn't be possible.
@@loserinasuit7880 that is possible, Persona 3 gang can summon their personas in the real world, it's shown in drama CDs, which are canon, a brief moment in The answer and in P4 Arena

Did Abaddon drop an Evoker? Was it actually a berserk Persona returned to Shadow state after killing its user?
That's possibly what it's insinuating
Might also be what happened to Castor and Shinjiro minus the killing of the user
In the event after Hermit boss 9/7, Takaya explaining the dropped evoker is a prototype to drawing out full extent of a Persona latent power, the cost is difficult to control. Maybe Takaya/Strega also want to find another persona users to join their cause.
Actually prefer this design for Abaddon to the traditional one- it just seems more eldritch and less goofy.

Yep. Reload actually gives Takaya way more characterization in his first few appearances than the whole of the original game
Thinking about Takaya, I wonder if the reason he doesn't use the evoker for his persona is because he's already deeply accepted that death could come at any moment for him and doesn't need to remind himself via the summoning.

he does use one for his theurgy attack in his final fight, but i think that’s because he wouldn’t be able to use the theurgy otherwise

It's actually someone's else Persona goes berserk like Strega's. That evoker is a protype use to forcefully summon a Persona at the cost of the Persona being uncontrollable. It's also confirmed that these berserk Persona is basically Shadow shelves, as Takaya mentioned the quote "I'm the Shadow, the true self" when he recalled the experience with the lab.
Man, I love this addition! Kinda fleshes Tayaka out, letting us know of his motivations and intentions.
Also, it’s kinda weird that the Messiah (Minato) teams up with the Anti-Christ (Takaya) to take down Abbadon.
Never think we see emo jesus & revolver jesus fight together
This was one of my favorite part’s in the game this was something they didn’t have to add but did and they nailed it perfectly
The screenshot of this scene does make me think Takaya get a Social Link with Makoto. Yet sadly its not 😂

Honestly the strangest part here is the look Abaddon has, correct me if I'm wrong but it seems to be new or at least very obscure compared to his other designs
You’re correct, this abaddon looks way different to even the abaddon we can summon in game what with the many eyes and blades sticking in its back. I have to wonder, just why this is the case and what does it mean

Keep in mind this thing drops an Evoker.
That Abaddon was an improperly awakened Persona. A Persona who rebelled against, overwhelmed and devoured his user, reverting to its Shadow state.
Thankfully for Makoto and Takaya, it also seemed to not be as durable as the Abaddon Makoto can fuse.
What's the name of Takaya's and Jin's Personas? Only Chidori said her Persona's name which was Medea

Yeah. Takaya has Hypnos and Jin has Moros. Fun fact: if I remember correctly, both Hypnos and Moros are brothers of Thanatos.

Honestly as a Persona 3 fan. I have hoped that there would've an alternative in the remake where we could side Strega. Along one other thing i have hope for Ikutski.
What's funny is that the protagonist can't even do the finishing blow in this fight, so if you lower its health all the way down, Takaya will do 1 damage as the final hit xD
I did this fight using Megido with Black Frost and was floored when he whipped out Megidola, it was so symbolic of their story.
When I was doing this boss, I went with the tarukaja/charge approach, and before I even attacked the shadow, the fight was over

I'm 99% sure the inevitable P4 Remake will somehow add Adachi as a support party member for some story moments.

i guess my theory that the p3 and p4 shadows are just primitive version of the p5 ones are true, and that shadows evolved to look more like demons
Actually, is because the shadows on the mind take their forms because of how we associate with certain demons, whole the shadows of P3 and 4 are more raw and concentrarse in one place
P5 Shadows are more like a cognitive Shadows. P1 and P2 situations are also based on cognition as well, hence Persona-like Shadows or demons.
I heard it was the reverse. I’m not sure exactly where this comes from, but there’s a theory that shadows were all originally SMT demons, like the ones we see in Persona 1 & 2. During the events of Persona 2 EP, the party fight this god who is connected to all demons because he’s one of the beings who governs the collective unconscious. Basically, the theory goes that after this god is defeated, all of the demons lose their shape and become shadows due to his absence. The theory also suggests that the reason why the shadows are going back to looking like demons in P5 is because the aforementioned god is reviving himself, which was foreshadowed back at the end of P2 as well. Not sure if any of this is actually the intended story, but I think it’s a really cool theory nonetheless and does a good job bringing classic and modern Persona together.

The reason the shadows in P5 are personas is because of Yaldabaoth taking over the Velvet Room which has a connection to the sea of souls
Yaldabaoth probably corrupted many of the Persona's there and unleashed them upon the world

@@BloodyHowl69 the whole battle of Ideology between SEES and Strega, if we're completely honest Strega actually won. SEES only comeback was saving the world which due to them fighting the Shadows ended up bringing Nyx.
@@BloodyHowl69 then u can add that there Persona's are basically brothers in Greek mythology. Plus if u join Strega there's no way the full moon Shadows would be defeated and Nyx won't awaken.

It'll likely come as even more of a shock to those who haven't seen the screenshot or much promo material, so I'd still recommend changing the title and thumbnail to something more newcomer friendly just in case anyone else finds out this way too.

He's hoping that by conversing together, Makoto can see the point of keeping the Dark Hour and letting those be blessed to continue to have their power. Based on how he got his, he doesn't believe that they should be brought back down to the level of the masses. He also thinks that SEES is just following a foolish Messiah complex and wants to figure that out on their own first.
How can I unlock this?

He's likely not important enough to warrant specifically targeting him maybe. Nyx comes and kills anyone anyways so why not.
It's because Strega doesn't actually care about SEES. They're fine with them running around in Tartarus forever. Their only beef with them is because they don't want them to stop the Midnight Hour.

It's actually excellent. There's also a new scene where you and Takaya also talk one on one before this happens where he tries to convince you to stand down and is low key warning you about the Kirijo group. And another scene of Takaya and Jin debating if they should break Chidori out of the hospital. Also, there's hidden logs in Tartarus now about the Kirijo Group experiments.
