Vic Glazer RIP JERRY GOLDSMITH, JAMES HORNER, BASIL POLEDOURIS, ELMER BERNSTEIN, JOHN BARRY, MICHAEL KAMEN, MAURICE JARRE, and a few other incredible phenomenal legendary film composers. They will be missed but their music lives on!
This masterful score is frequently used in commercials and film commentaries...thank you James for so many great movie scores...especially "Prince of Tides" and the haunting "Signs"
This is one of my favorite movies and soundtracks. Prince of Tides has a beautiful soundtrack as well. Funny, for years, I thought I was the only one who paid attention to the musical scores in movies. Many of the composers you mentioned in your comments are my favorites, too. Also, don't forget Marc Shaiman as he has produced some great soundtracks. Johnny Mandel was a genius, too, and I love the soundtrack to The Sandpiper and the Americanization of Emily starring James Garner and Julie Andrews which is one of the best movies ever made with a soundtrack that can rival all others! Thanks for sharing this wonderful and moving soundtrack.
Brilliant, in song and in scope, and most of all, in subject matter. As I write this, on the evening of January 8, 2021, I am confronting reality, and most of all, praying that our country can regain the conviction and strength so vital to our existence. Rediscover truth, most of all, because truth is forever. It is immutable. The challenge is here right now. Stand strong for our Constitution!!! Get rid of anyone who spouts garbage and falsehood. Learn our history, deeply and purely. And as you all do this, our country, and your children and grandchildren, will survive in freedom.
I admire your words, and I hope your ideas will turn to reality someday. You may think it is a bit silly, or naive but I believe that kindness and love can achieve amazing things. Therefore I sincerely hope that people will be kinder to their fellow living beings and through this, I believe the world will become a better place, where everyone is free to have their own truth ! I hope this makes sense x)
@@joeblack1847 Thank you so much for your thoughts! I'm sorry it took me a year to discover your reply, but I hope and trust your thoughts will go forward and inspire the strength we all need to keep our "great experiment" strong and living on!!!
Amen to that. Let's NOT forget movies and music had no hidden racism at that time, we ALL just enjoyed the sights and sounds of it all. Where did that go so quickly????
Benedict Greening it will be. I am almost 60 and I can feel what you are saying. Positive thinking, action, a lot of praise, have patience and it will happen. Cheers friend! 🤗
@@BenedictGreening Especially with that agenda ! I had to think about it just recently when on the German News they had told how much money got wasted in the NOT WORKING airplanes and tanks. :) there was a lot of realism in the content of this movie
What I love about Dave is that it plays very naive sounding music that uplifts you against the backdrop of unbelievable DC corruption. Change the score of the movie, the story feels very different.
Honestly I don’t know ! Maybe you could try to look on the internet (of course) and maybe it could be on the web site internet Archives Try to have a look :)
It would not be half of the movie it is without this magnificent soundtrack!
For me one of Newton Howard's best scores together with "The Prince of Tides", his absolute best.
One of the happiest and most peaceful soundtracks!! 🇺🇸❤️🎵
Nothing enhances a real motion picture and hits home like a real movie score.
Right!! Jerry Goldsmith is my personal favorite!!
MrFanboyjay Mine too!

Nick P Don't we all miss those old school scores? They hardly do that nowadays!
Indeed William Raih
Exactly, it seems to be a forgotten art as well and it is essential for many reasons.

I loved this movie!!

The orchestra is superb - whoever these, (tragically), uncredited musicians are. Superb music throughout this film, fitting every single nuance.
One of my favourite films. From the days when things seemed hopeful and optimistic.
Amen to that. Let's NOT forget movies and music had no hidden racism at that time, we ALL just enjoyed the sights and sounds of it all. Where did that go so quickly????
Kevin Kline and Sigourney Weaver together was so great. I wished they could really be president and first lady.

Especially now!! This music does me so much good to listen to!! 🇺🇸❤️🎵
James Newton Howard is so underrated
How do you downvote this? Well....I guess it's still a Free Country. Let's keep it that way.

Beautiful
Does somebody know how/where to get the sheet music for this suite? I would like to try it with a wind orchestra...
Honestly I don’t know ! Maybe you could try to look on the internet (of course) and maybe it could be on the web site internet Archives
Try to have a look :)
How cool! Did you ever get to do this? ☺️🎵
I liked the part where Dave got into a fight with the secret service agent because they wouldn't take him to the Capitol to join the insurrection.
