Winter is the season to hunker down & enjoy the beautiful snow here at the cabin! The temps here in Alaska are cold this time of year & sunlight is fleeting, but life doesn't stop! We're installing our new "CATIO" for our cats. An outdoor enclosure that's Predator & CRAZY neighbor proof! It's quite adorable & will give our kitties the best of both worlds! But we can't work without play...Joe's taking us for a sled ride! Something about the snow...brings out the kid in all of us. In watching Joe do the dad thing and the husband thing and the work thing it just makes me appreciate what a good guy he is. He’s just the anchor in your family. You all depend on him. He’s responsible and steady and a good example of man hood. Don’t get me wrong Tina you know him and all his imperfections but he’s got some really good points. I was married 40 years and my husband was the opposite of Joe. Don’t take for granted what you’ve got Tina.

Joe! I laughed so hard!!!! the side kick!!! Brandley and his snow covered face. LOL love the little black spots around his eyes where the snow melted. I just love you all.
My daughter and granddaughter both have cations and they’ve really done them up nice. The cats love them. I would suggest putting a tree stump or large branch for them to climb on and scratch.
Thank you for loving your kitties so much. Catios are life enrichment for them. God bless you all! When you have time add more space for them. Also, if you want more light on top of the catio roof, maybe put a few panels of clear roofing to get sunlight.

The catio is perfect! It's a good compromise to keep the cats safe but allowing them outside time. It was fun watching the four legged boys with their
snow masks on. And the sleigh rides looked like a blast!

You are a brilliant mom to your kids and that is way more important than keeping track of your cats! Cats by nature will wander and even if you kept them inside all the time there would always be the risk that they would get out and wander...they are cats! The Cattio is a brilliant idea and fair play to you guys for getting stuck in and getting it set up in the freezing cold.

Oh my gracious how pretty. The ride looked like so much fun and the boys looked like they really enjoyed it.
Some people are so nasty. We have 2 cats that we can't keep inside, no matter how hard we try. They will dart between your legs and barrel out the door when you go to leave the house. They just want to be outside. Previously, we had another cat that was the same way and our neighbor used to take his picture and post it on Facebook talking about the poor kitty and how she would keep him if she didn't already have a bunch of cats, like he wasn't someone's pet. Unfortunately, that cat was hit by a car and passed away. My kids were devastated and when the neighbor found out, she told us she knew she should have just kept him and he would have been safe. Trust me, we tried to keep him inside. He just wasn't having any of it no matter how hard we tried.

Wonderful winter wonderland, felt the stillness and the peace, the quietness of the snow. Miss it, living in Florida. Asher touched my heart and I have a feeling he's healing many frozen hearts...just by the power of his persistence to get back home no matter what...that kind of love moves mountains...and he's proof never to give up. I looked up the symbolism of the name Asher and it means Happy. Quite a powerful little fur ball on the mend. Thanks for sharing... Love and peace!

Love your catio! We have an indoor cat, she's never tried to get out. This maybe an option for her. We also have an outdoor cat, it adopted us. Someone dumped it as a kitten out in the country. In the middle of a snow storm this kitten was on our porch crying at the door after 10PM. I looked out the door and found it shaking, and crying. There was no way to catch it, she wasn't having it. So, I did the next best thing. Pulled a box, straw, and a wool blanket. Warmed water, and food. Place all on our covered porch. The kitten was happy. It's been a year, the kitten is now a cat. It remains an outside cat. I found a house made out of a cooler with a round door on one end, and a swinging door on the other end. The cat loves it, uses it when cold, or raining. This cat is feral, won't let anyone pick her up. She will remain an outside cat. We named her Smokey. I can only imagine what people will say about me not able to get this cat. I refuse to trap it.
The cateo looks great and fit perfectly in that spot!!! Poor Asher. I cannot imagine the PTSD he is dealing with after the horrific evil he had to endure. It’s amazing how “perfect” some commenters are - and the need they have to share their perfect judgement with others. 😂. I imagine they are truly sad, and maybe bored, so I do have some sympathy there too but ignore the haters. Just know how much you are appreciated to be the recipient of the crazy comments as well! I’m just so happy to see Asher healing and better each video! ❤

The catio is wonderful. I want to do that for my cats. It is great that Asher is doing so well. He is so loved and that helps heal all wounds. His PTSD is understandable. I have it too and believe me it makes you avoid whatever reminds you of what happened. 45 years later and it is still with me. But he will adapt. That's what cats do. Hello to you all 8 from Copenhagen Denmark! I will send your cat all love i can give him. I did lost a 15 month old Norwegian forest cat last year in september. She have skin infection and it was so bad so the best way i could end her pain was to let her go over the rainbow 🌈. And trust me i miss her so bad. Big hug

First off, I’m so glad you delete and block the horrible comments, there is absolutely no need to people to give off any negativity. Things are obviously hard enough for you to have to deal with the emotions involved that came with Asher’s injuries. That totally saddens me that some individuals show no compassion.
That aside, I absolutely loved this video! The pups eyes when Joe was clearing the snow off his truck made me laugh, as did when he kicked the tree while you were on the snow mobile haha 🤣🤣 I love the humour! The Catio is totally awesome! Seeing Bradley playing with the ice ball reminded me of when my kids and I made ice globes for the yard. Thinking it might be fun for the boys to do. You fill large balloons with colored water and let them freeze. Remove the balloon and you have a colored ice ball to have around the yard. Of course for Bradley and Gunner to play with also. 😊

Such a cool idea for your cats. Our neighbors cat used our yard as their litter box. As annoying as it was we still absolutely did nothing to harm their cats.

I LOVE the cat patio!! Perfect location!! I made a pergola, framed just outside my living room window, and hung several bird feeders on it. It brings me joy all day, watching all the birds feeding. I love your channel.

My "pee'd in my pants" moment was when you showed the dogs eating the snow of the truck then...you showed their faces covered in snow. My boys 11 and 9 were rolling off the sofa onto the floor. The dog started barking only to upset our cat! Lolol😂
