Yes you can omit the evaporated milk and condensed milk. Use rice milk or your choice of plant based milk & cane sugar 🫶🏽 I did see plant based condensed milk at sprouts!

Some settling is normal, using a cheesecloth will definitely help 🫶🏽

Ive seen a lot of recipes without the cloves, can i ask what the difference in taste is without the cloves?
Adding cloves helps balance the sweetness and gives a warmth flavor 🫶🏽
