NEED TO DO THIS AGAIN IT WAS FUN !!!!
The amount of foot faults by Steve Rico in this video is outrageous!
Two times in the first 4 holes, he disturbed his lie, both on fairway shots. Somebody just needs to tell him how they increased the size of the box you have to put your foot in. He could stay back 6 inches away from his lie and never have that problem again. sheesh
Great work as always, Jonathan! So much work done in so little time. Hats off!
Great camera work on both ends and great editing. Thank you for posting.
Thank you. Enjoyed the coverage
Great great video. Everyone from camera guy to our hero's hukking are class acts
04:26 LOL
It's amazing to see that throw followed by Gregg still holding the box on the next hole. The wind is ripping in this round.
Tis seemed like a tenuous at best tourney, yet, you capture off it takes off and adds to the uneasy edge...very digestible...lol...great work!
So, the guy right at the beginning of the video, is that you?Stevie's fairway ace on 8 . . . priceless and couldn't have happened for a nicer guy!
Sick, nice work Steve @20:47
wow tahnks
multiplie camera angles holy shit
Good stuff
Should McBeth not have taken his put from the up hill side of the bunker on hole 17? That is where the discs last left the green.
Jed Fleming That's what I thought...I assume next year they will be more accurate about what is in bounds and what isn't.
I think since it rolled through and bounced of the edge of the bunker, that point it touched was the last place it was inbounds. That's all I can figure.
Jed Fleming
i agree whit you man, but not sure, i think it touch the edge on the other side but they didn´t see that so he would make that, but his puttting was terrible this round even do he beat most of us anyway ^^ :/ paul made so many misstakes and still make good round, its crazy simple, but the wind was incredible strong....
anyone can confirm that rule !
42:30
In the last minute is Feldberg saying he hates this place? lol
Looking at each person's drive technique, Rico looks like he's giving his all whereas McBeast doesn't even look like he's trying.
Mcbeast just has great form. It doesn't look like it goes that far but does. Rico just goes really fast. Not that that's bad
ccm25 in my opinion it looks like rico ''throws'' the disc, to where paul just makes it fly. If you get my point. :p
It's not too often we see McBeth miss that many putts in one round. I wonder if the "Battle of the Eras" round at DeLa threw him off.
@4:22
How far out do you think that putt was at 4:50? It didn't look 30+ feet to me. If it wasn't 30+, it should have been called a fault.
Dustan Moore What for?
Well the rule says that if you're 30+ out you have to release the putt before crossing the plane but your body can finish over the plane. If you're within 30, you cannot cross the plane before the disc sits in the basket.
I see, that's good to know. Thanks!
+Dustan Moore Your summary of the rules is incorrect .. it says nothing about "crossing the plane", or even the existence of "the plane" you describe. The rules are phrased in terms of positions of supporting points of the player, at least one of which must be in contact with the lie, and none of which may be closer to the target than a line drawn touching the rear edge of the marker disc, and perpendicular to the line of play. If the distance to the target is less than 10 meters, then the player must clearly establish full control of their balance after releasing the disc, before they can advance towards the target (i.e. no falling putts). It says nothing about the timing of the disc coming to rest in the basket.
+Dustan Moore However, having said that .. you're right that it should have been called a falling putt if it was inside the 10 meter circle. I don't think it was though .. he takes 12 full strides to reach the basket, which should be more than 10 meters.
I think Jussi's course freaked out those who were more interested in a good show because there, you had to really really golf!?
It's great to see P.M. is human.
Wow that skip in @ 20:50!!!
Dave about losing 3 stokes to the field because of 12 feet, but were fine with the "cheat" putt
Nooo barsby lost the straddle put =[ and hes putting with a NOVA?! WHYYY
Udaysharma
+dennis “dennyrock23” wind
I wonder what the deal is with Barsby's staggered stance putting this round? I've only ever seen him straddle before.
I think it had to do with the wind. With his straddle puts he seems to release on a hyzer and drops it in. If he tried the same with this wind it would carry the disc and be more unpredictable.
Peter mercil Yeah I was going to say that it looks like Barsby changed his putting stance.
Mitch Springer Barsby is now sponsored by Innova and is putting with a Nova. I think his putting stance changed because of the disc, not the wind
I'm not saying that Paul doesn't CARE about this tournament, but it's a charity thing. I am guessing that his level of play was just a little lower than normal because he didn't get his normal week to study and play the place.
But he did raise the most money for the kids...so he wins.
Not really sure how you come to that conclusion just because he didn't do as well as he might have? And to be clear, it's the kids that really won here, not one individual
The course was only set up one day before the event started so no one got there early to practice because there was no course to practice
a scary experience...lol
52:10 "I hate this place" hah
So I've been called multiple times for "foot faulting" on jump putts... Yet it seems like every top pro besides Uli and Feldberg do it. Even Paul does it and nobody says shit.
It depend when you are doing your jump putt? If you are jump putting inside 30ft (aka the circle) than it a foot fault within 30ft you have to have your balance from when the disc leave your hand til it come to a "complete" rest inside the basket.
I know that, but the actual jumping motion. Supposedly you have to release the disc before you have both feet off the ground and it's pretty clear that every jumps before releasing.
Too wide open
Wow steve rico makes a foot foul on his first and second approach on hole 1! Should allready be a penalty stroke after the warning and we are only 1 hole into the tournament.
