    Thanks for the video. Is there a way of adding filters that will add an automatic label to the emails from the 'unwanted' mailbox?

    • @Simpletivity
      @Simpletivity  Před 6 lety

      Yes, you certainly can. Here's how to make such a filter:
      1. In the search box, search for messages sent to your email address (i.e. to:example@domain.com).
      2. Then select the small arrow on the right side of the search box - this will display the advanced search menu.
      3. Select 'Create filter with this search'
      4. Select 'apply a label'.
      I hope that helps. Thanks for watching!

    One question, can i use POP3 instead of Forwarding between Gmails and what's the difference between both ? Thanks.

    This is what im exactly looking for. Very clearly explained. Sharp and crisp. This a way easy trick than getting the domains. Need clarification, if I combine my official email and personal email I'd and if my official gmail I'd is terminated will this still work and keeps forwarding the msgs to the second one. Pl lemme know. Expecting your reply ASAP.

  • @chickadddee
    @chickadddee Před 3 měsíci +1

    Very helpful Scott, thank you! I think I would choose to delete the emails from the account I am forwarding from, just because all the emails will pile up, and accumulate in All Mail, I assume. If I truly want to "forget" it's there I think it's sensible to use that feature. Think of a private email that you would want to delete, then you would indeed have to go into that secondary email to delete it there too, right? (I am a person that likes to clean up my All Mail anyway, might as well do it in one inbox like everything else). Edit: Don't choose the delete option until you are all set up!! ha. And don't forget to add this new one to Mac mail if you use it. Just because it is forwarded to your first gmail doesn't mean it functions properly (especially for the 'from' option to show up) in Mac mail. All done now! Yippee!!

    • @Simpletivity
      @Simpletivity  Před 3 měsíci

    Hi Scott, I think I got all that and it might or might not work for me. My problem is that Google seemed to just duplicate on it’s own. In other words, there are 2 different emails both with the exact same address and oddly, I discovered that an email I sent from the account I primarily, was answered at the 2nd account with the same address, leading me to wonder if there’s a lot of emails I didn’t actually see because went to my 2 personality. Is this weird? Thanks, Amy

      Making these changes will have no direct effect on your calendars. Any emails that your secondary account receives would also appear in the primary inbox. So if you receive email reminders from your secondary Google Calendar, they would also appear in your primary Gmail account. I hope that makes sense!

      @Simpletivity  Před 6 lety +1

      Hi Gina. The process described in this video will forward all emails from one account to the other. Am I assuming correctly that your business email address is used for both business and personal communication? If so, you may want to create separate accounts so that only the business address is forwarded to the second account (intended for your employees).
