As much as I personally enjoyed the Spinner era, the big WWE logo title debut was actually kinda special, as you said, on February 18th 2013 The Rock debuted it...on my birthday. 😀🎂
So it holds some meaning to me and is a favorite, despite sadly only having a year and a half run.
I remember the original occ network logo was as thin as the replicas. It wasn't until the black swoosh that they beefed the belt up to 15mm in depth.
My favourite is the Backlund belt with the purple and green strap.
BRAVO!!! 😀👏. Thank you for compiling all this history together about the the WWWF-WWE World Championship and all the other belts you have done histories of. Before watching your videos, I had no idea there were so much variations of these belts. So, I applaud you for being so detailed on each version of each belt. Of course, I started watching with the all gold WWF Winged Eagle. So, that is my “gold standard” for all world titles.
Thank you, I'm glad you've enjoyed it.
C’mon, especially for the gimmick, the hemp belt was fantastic.
I noticed the Wildcat version (or sometime before that) they added extra base plates or something, it looks more stacked than the version that debut, which looks closer to the replicas. Idk I might be wrong. But in all seriousness this was an amazing series!! Seriously every video was awesome to watch and I looked forward to every one of them. Your work is amazing for real🙏
The Winged Eagle will a
Ways be my favorite but the ‘86 Hogan belt is what made me a fan of belt designs as it was the first I made as a kid out of cardboard and later an old weightlifting belt and tin.
My personal favorite from these belts is the big logo with the “champion” banner.
I cant wait that long :[
Be thankful.....I actually scheduled the wrong video but decided to just post it anyway lol
My favorite is the dual plated winged eagle WWF Championship Belt!!!
Two week ago lashley was missing the right red part of the wwe logo on is belt !!!
My favorite Big Logo Belt design is the one that AJ Styles used for one day on SmackDown during his rivalry with Jinder Mahal, the black swoosh WWE Title, looked amazing imo.
My favourite is the big eagle with the wwf white scratched logo.
I really like the side plates idea, but I also liked the idea that new Japan used where every champions name is on the side plates.
I can’t remember where or when but I do remember a version in a promo from AJ styles that had a “WWE WORLD CHAMPION” banner on the the belt also
I had no idea WWE was using Velcro now.
*For what... Possible.. Reason?!* 🤢🤢🤮
I feel that While YES, the epoxy red or "gel paint" looked good, the bright red that they still use today fits more side plates better, rather than just Brock Lesnar's
True, however I think they should have continued to use that resin paint for the other side plates going forward. I'm not a fan of the black side plates like Ortons etc
As an old school fan, I don’t like the WWE network logo Championship belt. It looks so boring, just a big network logo with a words: World Heavyweight Champion. At least John Cena’s WWE spinner comes with an eagle, it spins, and the amount of diamonds that makes the belt look more luxurious. You can argue that WWE network belt is better because the side plates are customisable with the champion’s logo, but, to me, nothing beats typing the name of my favourite champion in my replica belt.
My favorite WWWF/WWF/WWE World title belts are the Andre The Giant(1987 and never used), the Winged Eagle, and the Big Eagle.
Where did you find that beastly AJ Styles theme intro, from?
All my intros are credited to the original creators and are saved in my public covers play list on my channel page👍
My favorite belt is the wind eagle belt
I do wonder if they are gonna change the main titles now. They changed the US title and IC title. So maybe it is time to change the other set of titles. Except for the Womens belts, cos they are the better looking logo belts.
Bob Backlund title is the best
HazardF5, having velcro on the leather straps is mere laughable.
Ufc started doing it for production purposes at the end of the fights so dana wouldn't be fumbling around for 45 seconds. Wwe saw it and was like oooooooo
as much hate as the spinner belt gets...I'll still take that over the big logo belts. they are the worst. I think they would be better if it had an all gold background. Its literally just leather and a big W on it.
To me that 203-14 title should of been introduced a few years earlier. Never was a fan of design. Current title design is fine & best since Undi imho. But most of the belts in the company need a rehaul. Intercontinental needs to go back to retro look. 1 womens title 1 tag title 1 world title. The universal title looks so shit & its being carried by best thing on main roster tv rn. Its like roman looks “bad” having such a crappy designed title.
