Anout 4 years ago, I RATED it highly. It sent location links & acted as a hidden "ear" via SMS. But recently, viewers like reported issues.
I bought the LATEST version, and here's the SHOCKING truth:
NO MORE SMS sending! You can only receive commands, not send location links.
Still tracks & calls, but limited functionality.

There is no change to the device. The change is that the phone companies have discontinued 2G service that this GPS tracker needs. This makes it useless for modern communication standards. If you have 4G and 5G as most of us have today this GPS tracker is now obsolete and will no longer work. .

I got some the other day and the phone program that it said I was to load and program the WON'T let me program the units!

I bought 2 GF-07 units, can't get them working, just a waste of money. I can't even understand what the hell this guy is talking about as far as getting it to work even for voice. no idea.

These units do not have GPS functionality at all. If you open the case you will find there is NO GPS Antenna. It works on the cellular networks ability to provide a rough estimate of location, only, by using 'triangulation'. The nearest I was able to get to the actual location was about 2 Km away. Worthless piece of rubbish. It only works with an old 2G network Sim card too. 3G, 4G or 5G - won't work at all.

Its because you are using RCS on Android. Turn it off in settings. But its still rubbish
