I've got Classic Ikon and think they are a good compromise. Look nicer than the classic and I prefer the half bolster for sharpening, sits very comfortably in the hand too. A bit more expensive than the classic range but not massively so. The Ikon with the wooden handles are a lot more expensive and the only difference is the handle. Wooden handles are nice and African Blackwood is very durable and resistant to water swelling / shrinking compared to other woods but for me personally they are just a pain, have to be careful washing them, dishwasher can destroy them. I try not to put my good knives in the dishwasher anyway but now and again one ends up in there by accident.
since I am not cutting a million onion, I don't need cheap knifes for restaurant cost saving the same way they don't pay the kitchen staff well. I rather have something great to spoil myself in my own kitchen. Live a life, don't be stingy to yourself.
Henckels/Zwilling are good quality knives, if you prefer German designs. I own one myself, although it doesn't see much use recently. To my eye there isn't a lot of difference between them and Wusthoff. They all use a similar stainless steel at 56-57 Rc for their entry level designs, so pick whichever design pleases your eye. Higher-end knives...well, that's a whole 'nother story.
My respects friend, I have a request for you, can I ask you for help? I need a 3D model of a knife (wusthof ikon classic 20 or 23cm), especially the handle, I can ask you to make it for me. I would really appreciate it. This can be done using programs from your phone. Anyway, thank you for the reviews, I really like them! You are cool!
Knvies for work and home is different. For work you want lightweight, easy to sharpen, and cheap so if it gets stolen or breaks no biggie. For home it's nice to have something more premium.

Out of 200 knives I have only 1 that's got a full bolster, I would never buy a full booster knife again and actually surprised they still make them.
I personally love a full booster XD
you must be a millionaire o . O
I went all-in with Ikon line and filled my knife block including the wood handled steak knives. They're fantastic. The edge retention is amazing.

Ikon is a must made the mistake of buying the classic chef knife 🔪 the ikon is way better to hold much more comfortable
Wait for a sale, ikon was $15 more, handle is large and comfortable.
Are Henckels still a good quality chef knife ? Thank you in advance 👍👍🇨🇦🇨🇦

Get the knife that feels the most comfortable. Classic was more comfortable for me than the Ikon

Classic, all the way.
I really prefer a Victorinox 8 inch chef knife.
Steel, hardness?
You always want rounded handles. I use mine in industry and i refuse any not rounded completely around.
Clue ..The workers…don’t use these. ..

Neither. Buy a Mercer. Same blade, 1/4th the price.
One word, vitorinox.
rather have forged knife unless you love sharpening
