I hate that you said, "this channel is dying." I hope not! I've been following you for years and you feel like a friend. Please keep going, we love you.
Truth be told I am not here for the weight loss content … not that I mind it, I appreciate that too but my main reason for staying is your personality, your little ventures into art and design basically all the quirky stuff that makes you. You are a good person who is creative and intelligent and it is clearly apparent even through the screen. ❤
Channel def not dying. It is becoming refined by people who truly are interested in your well being and vested interests your ultimate success. Here’s the best part - you get to define that success. You and only you. To say that you never complete things that you start is a lie. You have completed way more than not! And that is a fact. ❤
Absolutely, that is a fantastic result! More important than weight loss in my opinion. To be honest, I watch you more for your personality and your projects anyway!
You have grown your channel faster than many, many CZcamsrs who post 3 times a week for triple the number of years you have been on… Your community isn’t just here for your weight loss journey. We enjoy you - your honesty, humor & approach to life! I’d be curious to know which ADHD medications you have tried. Was Wellbutrin one of them? It has helped people stop smoking which involves dopamine levels and can have affect on appetite/desire for sweets. It can be given for ADHD… perhaps an option to explore… as always there are side effects.
If weight loss is always the #1 goal, and weight doesn’t come off, it’s a sense of constant failure. Bea is constantly trying to incorporate health promoting behaviors and I think it’s a testimony that she says she has no indicators of poor health (other than being “obese”). What the hell does healthy mean then if blood work is normal and you’re moving your body, eating sustainably well, incorporating healthy hobbies and also striving to stay consistent and progressive? 👀 like come on. So sick of the fat = unhealthy narrative and these dumb ass injectables have only added to fat stigma. There are A LOT worse things you can be than fat.
@@heatheristhatu definitely agree, I don't think Bea should think of herself as failing on the Internet for 4 years. Shes helped a ton of people feel like they have a buddy to lose weight with (me included - I lost 30 lbs because it felt like I had someone with me doing it) and her journey is refreshingly relatable.
Most of us have been where you are at. It took me until I turned 59 to figure out what works for me. I am now 63 and 270 pounds lighter. Never give up.
She’s done it again folks- an incredibly insightful, thoughtful, and honest take on matters influencing our society, and not without some amount of digging/research to back it up. I love the way you approach things Bea! I can’t imagine feeling like you have all eyes on you and having to deal with haters rubbing salt into open wounds, but hopefully some of us here to truly “support the struggle” can help lift your spirits. You seem like such an amazing person and I genuinely appreciate your presence and voice on this platform! 💛
You are the one CZcamsr that I look to see if you’ve put out a new video everyday. You’ve created a space that is real and I hate that you’ve struggled, but it shows people like myself that I’m not alone. I love seeing your life changes that don’t have to do with weight as well. Like your career changes, hobbies, chicken coops. Thank you for continuing sharing as you do and putting up with A-holes.
I love your videos whether you lose weight or not. I love seeing Chetty, Doug, your guinea pigs, your baby chicks, your amazing DIY projects, your beautifully drawn recipe cards, meal preps, etc. Love your sense of humor and down to earth personality. Your channel isn't dying, it's weeding out the audience that doesn’t matter. We love you for you Bea! 🦕🦖
Just dropping a comment, because I adore you. On paper we have nothing in common. I’m 61, married and have been at the same weight most of my adult life. Don’t really know how you came up on my feed, but I watched one vid and subscribed. Always love seeing a new vid from you. You’re charming, have a great laugh, and have too many animals. What’s not to love? Also, your vulnerability and honesty are so refreshing. Sending you a giant hug from the east coast.
I cannot stand that people are so hateful about the effort you're putting in! It made my heart hurt hearing your response about those comments. Obesity is SUCH a hard struggle, and the way you are constantly trying to grow and do better is such an inspiration. I'm sending you all my positive vibes Bea!! 🫶🌹
Bea doesn’t work…. She does about one video every blue moon. She can hire a coach and follow a strict workout schedule. No one is being hateful… We like her but it’s easy to see she isn’t trying and that’s fine. but some ppl come here for weight-loss inspo. I lost like 35 pounds just watching what I eat and walking. Now I’m going to the gym and incorporating weights. I’m not perfect, I’m also medicated like Bea… it just seems she has more resources time & money to do it.
I don't see any weight loss work in her videos. I enjoy her content, but I think she needs medication for something else. She has all these little projects she focuses on and those are going to distract her from weight loss. She always has something new and I don't think that is focusing on weight loss so much as trying to not focus on it. Maybe that is a symptom of her anxiety.
@@melissas4874 I'd say having something to focus on and distract you / take your mind of food, is a help not a hindrance. I was 224 lbs and lost 90, and I had to really keep myself distracted at first to stop myself from thinking about food and randomly eating stuff just for the sake of it.
Lately I’ve been in a CZcams slump. Not wanting to watch any suggested content or even caring to watch my favorite creators I’m subscribed to, but every time I see you post I always click and watch immediately. It feels like hanging out with a friend (but in my opinion not in a toxic parasocial way 😅). Just wanted to say I’ve never seen you as a failure or as someone who never finishes anything. In fact I think you are way more relatable in that you share it all, the ups and downs. And you should be proud of all that you have accomplished! You are a great mama to all your pets, have some plants/garden that seems to be really taking off, and always impress me with all of the diy projects you take on. Thanks for letting us hang out with you!
I really appreciate your channel because I see a person doing the best they can to navigate through life. I see you workout and it inspires me to do yoga. I see you cook, and it encourages me to go grocery shopping. I see you do home projects and it inspires to find projects within my own home to make my life easier and more joyful. And the truth of the matter is not everything goes the way we want it to, and its up to us to redirect. I’ve seen a lot of comments say this, but I’ll say it again: we watch your channel because of who YOU are, not the weight loss. And the fact that you keep trying despite the struggles and setbacks should be even MORE of a testament to your commitment to live a healthier life. I hope you keep going because I really like your channel 🥰
Hey Bea!!! No shame in your weight loss journey, I am here for all your content and research. I watch you because you are a real human being and I have a lot in common with you. Weight loss is a lifestyle not a quick fix, in my opinion. If that's not you either, you have your right to that as well. No need to conform. We have our ups and downs and mental health is a struggle and effects all aspects of our lives. Thanks Bea for the videos!! ❤
I've watched your videos from the beginning and I watch because I love your personality. I'd watch videos about the art you do or adventures you go on. I think you're awesome and I'd totally still watch if it was you getting into shenanigans.
Dude this channel is NOT dead! 68k views of just you talking. We value you and what you say. I love your research mind and how you break things down. I very much enjoy you and your channel! I tried Zepbound and it was good while I was on it. Definitely felt sick but I always do anyway. Then I had hiatal hernia surgery to deal with some precancerous stuff so no more Zepbound for me. My 2 sisters took Mounjaro and wegoovy and had major success. They still felt sick but got the weight off and feel better in maintence now. I’m still fat. So still the fat one! Yeah meh
I’m also on Mounjaro, for years I struggled to lose weight even when I went to the gym 4+ days a week. So far I’ve gone from 224 to 192. I looked at it more as a head start, I’ve been able to learn more about how to eat (yes more protein to counter the muscle loss). Just the weight I’ve lost so far I physically feel better and am able to be more active. I don’t plan on being on it forever but I just wanted to try something new since what I was doing wasn’t giving me results. I also had high blood pressure and being over weight affected that. I say you do you, when it comes down to it it’s your journey and I know you will be successful whether you take it or not.
I've been watching your channel since 2020. I have daughters your age. I feel I have to give you some motherly love right now. Your channel has made me laugh and cry. You are kind, funny and seem genuine. You've made significant progress with binge eating and mental health. The things you do in your gym amaze me! The progress you've made there is remarkable. Your CZcams channel has more to offer than your original 100 pound weight loss journey. If you ask me, your channel improves all the time when you share your other interests, besides weight loss. If I had just spent the last 30 years of my life avoiding the yoyo and spending my thoughts on my hobbies and interests, I'd be so much better off. Just keep up the good work you are doing for yourself and the weight will come off, even if it's SLOW. LOVE!!!!
It breaks my heart to hear some of the things commenters have said to you. I just want to remind you that those of us who find you an encouragement and model FAR outweighs the haters. Keep being Bea!
I know you know this somewhere-you are far from a piece of shit. You're an amazing human being who is honest about her life and struggles, and we're right there with you. You're never looking for sympathy or views - you're just being you, flaws and all, and we love you for it. Keep going!
Medications can have varying effects on different individuals - what works for one person may not work for another. From what I understand, these different responses largely have to do with differences in genetics.
I have been on WeGovy(switched to Zepbound) for quite a while now. At first it was significant nausea (took prescription nausea meds to help) and the constipation was no joke. I did adjust to the dose and the symptoms have basically gone away. I am able to go two weeks between shots (haven’t tried longer) and still have reduction of food noise, which is such a freeing feeling that I honestly don’t care if I need to take a shot every week or month. I would like to have have lost more weight (although I did go from 205 to 175 so a decent success on the lower doses only (up to 1mg on WeGovy, 5mg Zepbound)) but I have no regrets with taking them so far. I am hoping to get better eating habits, even on the medication the good habits come and go, and maybe someday be off of the medication. Time will tell. Everyone’s weight journey is different and I applaud you for putting it all out there and saying all the feelings that everyone is feeling! Here rooting for you no matter what! ❤
I've had pretty much exactly the same experience on Saxenda! I am still on a really low dose too, I think a lot of people don't realise you don't have to go to the highest dose.
“ I still have a reduction of food noise, which is such a freeing feeling that I honestly don’t care if I need to take a shot every week or month.” Couldn’t agree more! The confidence I feel from not thinking about food and eating 24/7 and the energy I get from having zero guilt and self hate is worth every penny (and it’s a lot of pennies). The weight loss is honestly just a nice plus. You can’t know how freeing it is unless you’ve lived your life in a chokehold and suddenly breathe for the first time.
I've been on Zepbound for a few months, I really haven't had any side effects beyond some mild constipation that cleared up when I upped my fiber intake. I do think the side effects get overblown a bit, because obviously people will speak out if they have a bad time on something generally. I was never able to lose any significant weight before the medication - I'm willing to take the % chance on something on the medication vs guaranteed issues from being obese. 3 months in and 20 lbs down so far!
This channel is not dying! I think I can say for most of the group, we are always waiting for your videos and love to see what you’re up to! I’ve missed you when you’ve been gone and hope you know we enjoy seeing you! 😊
I am a social worker with depression who is currently on Wegovy. There have been multiple good things that have happened...not thinking about food, not caring about food, seeing weight come off, and it lead to better food choices, etc. But the biggest benefit has been my reduced craving for sugar. Yes I have to be more intentional about consuming protein. But it has been worth it. As a social worker I have seen so many people struggle. Don't let anxiety prevent you from trying something that could give you a break from the struggle of weight loss and ED. Give yourself some rest. At least talk to a weight loss doctor first.
I have been on Zepbound/Mounjaro for almost 2 years and I'll take the occasional barfing in return for the increased mobility, lack of body pain, and most of all the disappearance of the food noise that tormented me day and night. I wasn't really aware of how much of my anxiety was driven by food until I experienced life without the constant chatter. I'm also an ADHD/PCOS kind of person and for me, trying to control my weight sucked up so much of my willpower and motivation that I absolutely could not keep up with the rest of my life. Now that I don't have that giant energy suck taking up all my focus, I have a lot more motivation to work on other things that matter to me. That said, I'm in my 40s and perimenopause is brutal. I'm not sure I would have made the decision to go on it 10 years ago. I don't think it's bad to try doing it without medical help - it'll be there in the future if you change your mind.
Also re: muscle loss - only one study with Ozempic found that and the control group also had a weirdly high lean muscle loss. Nothing so far suggests that it's an issue for Zepbound, especially if you keep weightlifting.
Yes! I'm in my 40s and also perimenopause- this med is a lifesaver for me! I had pretty significant side effects at first and the weight loss was so good, I adjusted 😆 I lost 61 pounds in 9 months and have been at goal for 6 months now. It's a total personal choice like anything else. For me, it was woth it.
this!! i actually maintained if not grew my muscle mass as i wasn’t bogged down by food and weight loss thoughts and i could get back to my LIFE. that isn’t all about motivation and struggle and shame.
Ooh- it chaps my a$$ that anyone would be so hateful as to tear you down. I’ve been a fan from the start and although it was a weight thing at the beginning, the reason I stayed a huge fan is because of YOU. You are so real and so kind and so freaking funny. You share your vulnerability and that in turn allows us to also be vulnerable. You’ve got an army of people that love you for who you are, don’t waste an ounce of energy on those miserable people. Block the bastardos and keep up your chicken raising, coop making, dog loving, guinea pig adopting, art making, recipe trying, story telling, workout doing, home remodeling, Halloween costuming, garden growing, Elmo sharing, Stevie loving self. We adore you.
This was an incredibly thoughtful and rational look at this topic and I really appreciate you sharing it with us. I love your channel and am so thankful for you!
Hi Bea! Unrelated to the weight loss but since I also have struggled with PCOS I wanted to share with you (and any others that are struggling with PCOS and menstrual issues!) that taking calcium, magnesium, and zinc helped SO much with my hormonal imbalances. I went from having irregular periods (as much as 2 months apart) with a week of depression, worsened ADHD, etc leading up to my periods, plus heavy flow and intense cramping. I learned that calcium, magnesium, and zinc are incredibly important for menstrual health. After taking these daily for a month it completely regulated my period and reduced my mood swings and cramps to almost nothing. Highly recommend it for any ladies that are struggling with this!! Trader joe’s sells a calcium magnesium and zinc tablet all in one and that has worked so well for me.
I can't believe people were making comments when you did your 30 days notice sugar. Even if you had t gotten sick, just trying g it and getting g as far as you did is part of the challenge. You inspire me every time you try something. You push yourself to learn and do things that are out of your comfort zone and that is great. If you discover alo g the way that you don't want to do it or can't, you tried, which is more than what most.of us do. Thanks for inspiring us by being himan!
I have watched your channel for a long time and it is not for if you lose weight or not. I love watching because you are a down to earth woman who speaks her mind and shares her struggles(by the way, most of us have the same struggles). Your laugh is contagious and you are an amazing person! Please know that there are so many of us that just want you to continue to be who you are and all we see is a beautiful human being that keeps it real and brightens our lives during our own daily struggles. Not all hero's wear capes you know.
Bea, I'm not here for the weight loss. I choose to be here because I like you🌻You are a real person, quirky, funny, creative, loving and inspirational. We all change and hopefully grow in our life journey. You're way too hard on yourself but that will change as you age. Keep living your life, some days are great, some less great❤
Hola Bea! Just wanted to say that I tune in every time you post a video. Your weight loss journey is exactly that… your journey. You do what you think is best. I think the reason why you still have followers is bc you are real! You’re not being fake at all with everything that you post. Whether we agree or not, we understand that this is your life and we get a glimpse into it. You’re fun and relatable in so many ways and this is coming from someone who is many years older than you lol. Wishing you the best!!!
One of my friend has had great results on Mounjaro. She said it kickstarted her weight loss and gave her an idea how much food does her body need vs what does she think her body needs. She said it was eye opening.
I’ve watched you through diets, workouts, art projects, house remodeling, chicken coops, etc. I don’t think your fans/peeps are only here for one type of video; we’re here for you! I lost 50 pounds on Trulicity and am now on Mounjaro. It’s been a great thing for me! One of the best parts is seeing a constant trend downward in weight … instead of doing everything right and gaining. It’s very motivating. For me, a 54 year old woman, I don’t see how any side effects could be worse than bring overweight and yo-yo dieting for decades. To each their own but it’s been a game changer for me. 💜
I’ve never commented but I literally watched 2 videos this morning. Just this morning I was thinking I’ve been watching for 4 years religiously. I love watching your videos because I love the jokes u make, seeing ur close bond w ur fam, and u just try new stuff. It makes me see that this is what I want my life to look like. Thank you so much Bea! This channel is very alive to me!
Very interesting! I think you explained your thoughts very well and made excellent points! I am on Ozempic and have been for two years. I’m a type 2 diabetic and in stage 3 kidney disease. It’s been a great help to me, but I definitely believe you have to make your own best decision for yourself. Please know, you are well loved by the vast majority of people!!! Don’t let the trolls get to you!💕
Hey. I love watching your videos. You are real. And I think that's why I get sad when I haven't seen you in a bit. I know we are just strangers on the internet. You brighten my day. Don't let the negative people stop you from being you. You are important and amazing! Congratulations on how far you have grown. ❤
Probably one of the best videos related to weight gain/ loss that I’ve seen !! I love your page and your realness! I relate to you so much versus other yt channels from wt loss influencers I because in a weirdly way I get on a very comparison type of space and beat myself up so badly because they are achieving some of the main goals I’m wanting to achieve but with you I truly feel like we’re on the together ! I tried ozempic for a very short period of time and 1. It’s not affordable for me long term 2. After I stopped, I gained the weight back and everything was back to my baseline (food noise, binge etc) I’ve seriously considered going into my savings to get the meds and I instantly thought to myself is that the price I’m willing to pay for a temporary quick fix. I’m learning to give myself grace and love my body on every phase and know that it’s not going to happen overnight ! Bea keep pushing! If your page is dying so what the ppl who truly feel you and relate are going to be here with you !
For me Vyvanse has been a game changer for my relationship with food. I understand the reward pathways in my brain are broken, and having the medication just makes the background noise go away. I remember the first day I took it having some of my favourite food and drink and it just... didn't do that thing it does. You know that thing where it's like you're drowning and suddenly got a gulp of air? Food was still good, I still wanted it, but I didn't NEED it with my SOUL. But yeah, the docs screwed you over with the ADHD meds. That stuff should be done CAREFULLY over time, starting low and working up as needed. I also read some interesting research into grellin (the hormone that signals hunger) and it's relationship to ADHD. Turns out there is one.
I’m on mounjaro and it changed my life. I too have PCOS, was gestational diabetes and have heart failure. Trust me when I tell you, the weight loss for me was great but not the best side effect. The best side effect for me was my insulin resistance going into remission and my heart failure numbers changing so drastically (in a good way) that I no longer have to visit cardiologist every 6 months. Also my OCD, anxiety and depression greatly improved. I no longer take meds for my heart or mental health. Will I take this med forever, probably. And I’m ok with that.
I am on ozempic...it's a game changer for blood sugar for sure ...weight is slower for me as a PCOS girl but I don't have many side effects ! ❤ Good luck
Same here, also a PCOS girl on Ozempic The weight loss is slower for sure, I’ve seen people lose massive weight with this drug, but I’ve been losing around 5 lbs per month on it and I’m happy with that! Already down 25 lbs in the past couple weeks! For me, the insulin resistance from PCOS and prediabetes was causing rapid weight gain. I also couldn’t stop thinking about food until trying Ozempic. The nausea is horrible though 😅 I’ve already seen signs of my insulin resistance improving (better A1c, no more hyperpigmentation on my neck or underarms, etc). And I have no more cravings for sugary foods or fast food, which is a game changer for me! Coupled with cardio and strength training, I think it’s a great weight loss option for obese people, and especially obese women with PCOS Wishing the best of luck to Bea too! ❤
Bea I feel you. I am 55, and have tried every diet known to man. My son started me on carnivore a month ago and in addition to losing weight, I no longer think about food all damn day! You are such a bright light, I love your laugh and your love of chickens and guinea pigs! Stay YOU! ❤
me too Kelly. I think Bea would have success on high fat carnivore. I did carnivore before Thanksgiving last year ( sept through Nov ) lost weight, now back on it, it does work! I no longer have the carb cravings, but I am easing into it this time. Last time I got bad keto rash, so for now since this is the first two weeks, I am eating some veggies… great comment! Love Bea! And all her ventures! Her Douglas, Chetty, Mable now with her sweet beau, guinea pigs, and chicks. ❤😊❤
I am a 3 year Carni. I have Hashimotos thyroid disease and I am medication free for 2 years...woohoo! I lost 40lbs and kept it off. We get to eat ALL the meat, it's so freeing. Feeling my best at 56!
My husband has been struggling to lose weight for years. He was going to try ozempic until he found out it could cause gastroparesis, which is what i have. I've had it since i was 12, and im 34 now. 0/10 would not recommend gastroparesis on my worst enemy. This last month, my husband started to try and get 10,000 steps in, on top of working out and eating close to carnivore as possible. So far, for him, adding in the 10,000 steps a day has been the biggest game changer, in consistent small weight loss..... Good on you for looking into all your options before you decide to try medications. Whatever you decide, Im really rooting for you!!! You got this 💚💚💚
@@LizzieEstelle it's not super common, and diabetes itself is one of the most common reasons for gastroparesis in the first place. I think ozempic is getting a lot of smoke for something it may not even be causing 😂
Yassss queen! I am so glad someone has taken in all the facts and can have a great, open and honest conversation about it. Also I have been loving the direction the channel has been going, weight loss or no weightloss I genuinely find your life interesting and will watch no matter what.❤
Oh my gosh... I hate that there are people saying negative things to you! Screw those people. You are trying to make lifestyle changes and better yourself. And how were you supposed to help getting sick at the end of your no-sugar month? People suck, and you are awesome, Bea. Keep doing what feels right to you. You are doing great work on yourself and you're inspirational to a lot of us!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts Bea. I have been watching you for 2 years now, possibly longer and I find your truthful expression inspiring and relatable. Grateful 🙏
Bea, you’re so endearing because you’re real, like us. I’m fed up with 100lb beautiful people teaching self care. I want to hear from people who’ve come home by the long, hard road. I have ASD1/ADHD and I’m brilliant at beginning but quickly fall apart due to perfectionism and loss of motivation. I try, I fail, I try, I fail… Like an ant climbing stairs, I make progress and then hit a wall before having to climb hard before making a bit of progress again. It’s bloody exhausting!! You’re honest and real and I’ve loved watching you grow in confidence over the years. I’m here for the long haul. 🤛🏻 In fact, I’m going to listen to all of your videos from day 1 while I do a bit of gardening. Eff you, algorithm!! ❤️❤️
I do benefits for a large employer and I also had diabetes and was prescribed wygovy. I can tell you that it is absolutely not a miracle drug. It’s like everything else out there, it is a lot of money and you still have to diet and exercise and some people succeed with it and some people don’t. Everyone who gets on it eventually has to stop and again they go back to their habits again and some people can make a change and some people can’t. My stance is if you want to try it, then try it! But it won’t be a permanent fix and you still have to eat healthy foods and exercise and unfortunately you have to do that forever! So find something sustainable. Speak to your providers and find something that keeps you going. It’s VERY HARD so you’re not a failure at all for not losing x amount lbs or whatever in an x amount of time. The fact that you keep trying is the important thing because it is a lifetime commitment to take care of yourself. You’re doing great! We all are!! We got this, girl!
One of my favorite podcasts is Maintenance Phase , hosted by Aubrey Gordan and Michael Hobbs. They dive into the history of wellness culture and critique commonly-held beliefs of weight and obesity. They have a very good episode on Ozempic that came out last fall.
Yes highly recommend maintenance phase! I also cringed a bit when Bea listed the side effects of obesity ... The medical establishment blames so many things on obesity. In reality we know SO LITTLE about the causes and effects of obesity.
@@laraerae4321 absolutely. Culturally, we’ve placed so much importance on “smallness” that “largeness” is not well studied, and anything that challenges our conception of “small is good/healthy” is an “anomaly” even when lived experience and data tell a different story.
I love this channel!! You are one of the most honest and amazing people. It's not easy putting yourself out there like you do "warts and all". The struggle is real and hard, some (like me) start and stop. But I WILL NOT STOP TRYING! Keep being your best self my friend, you have people still cheering you on your life journey.
Anyone else check youtube everyday for a new video? Just me...well you are my favorite ever. I am on a compounded version and the weight loss is very slow for me but the benefits of the lessened food noise and adhd relationship with food is significant. I don't have many side affects, mostly increased occasionally heart burn. I wonder if that is because I am also doing a weekly B12 shot.
I love you Bea!!! I watch your channel because I enjoy your personality. Originally I started watching you when I started my weight loss journey but I’ve grown to love what your content has turned into
I also wanted to say Bea ...I also have PCOS which has led me to diabetes ...I see your struggle and I feel it ...I am you . We do what we can and we keep going . We don't run like other people with this PCOS ...you are authentic and brave for putting all this on the internet. You are one of my favorite CZcamsrs ....ozempic doesn't give me issues and they will monitor and check your levels to be safe ..I hope this helps ...l overall feel better ..truly . If you aren't sure ...talk to your doctor and give it a shot ..I'm happy I did .
I'm glad it didn't give you issues, but I've heard from a lot of people who had pretty severe issues. One person in particular turned suicidal, when they hadn't been before. It's not something I wouldn't encourage anyone to try it unless that's what they really wanted to do. If anyone is the slightest bit hesitant they should probably just not try it. Just my honest opinion. But again, I'm glad it's working well for you, and I hope it continues to.
@@HappilyCarnivore those people also usually are being treated for anxiety or depression. My doctor checks on me very regularly . These stories are scaring people that need these medications from trying them sadly .
THANK YOU for going over what your research into this topic has been! I’ve honestly been in a very similar situation to you in a lot of ways and just getting to see you living life and still finding things you enjoy has been so helpful for me. You’re amazing and that isn’t defined by how much you’ve lost/haven’t of your weight it’s because seeing you take care of yourself and being the best you can and try to better yourself as well as having some fun on the way ☺️
Hi Bea! As a fellow female diagnosed in my 30s with ADHD, I've learned some things. First, ADHD is the reason for your stomach issues; it also explains your anxiety as ADHD has a laundry list of comorbidities. PLUS, PCOS makes the symptoms of ADHD worse (personally, I have PMDD). As far as the ADHD meds (or any meds) not working for you or having unexpected side effects, that can be explained by sexism. Pharmaceutical companies oftentimes do not include women in clinical trials because they don't want menstrual cycles affecting the results even though women would be taking the medication when it hits the open market. ADHD also explains why you have difficulty sticking to a workout/diet plan more than other people because it affects habit formation. You could do the same thing every day for 10 years, but one day throws off your routine, and that habit is gone. So, in essence, don't feel bad; your brain and body are actively working against you.
Im so happy you made this comment because I just typed out something SO SIMILAR and then I accidentally deleted the comment and I was so mad lol. But yes to everything you said.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and research Bea! I see a lot of people making comments about it, having worked wonders for them or having really great results, with little to no side effects. Which is amazing and wonderful for them! But I 100% understand where you’re coming from and your reasoning behind your decision. I don’t think there’s any thing wrong with taking medication, whether it be for depression, anxiety, or something like this. It’s all a medical issue and medications are used to treat that. That said, I think in your conclusion of the video you really hit the nail on the head. There’s almost always a trigger or an underlying behaviour that keeps us in a detrimental cycle. The best way to see real changes, improvements, and grow as a person are to unlearn those habits. I think you are definitely choosing to take the long road, but I think it’ll be so worth it. I’ve been here since the beginning and will continue to be here and support your journey. 😊 Sorry for the long-winded comment lol!
I whole heartily respect and adore your self awareness and ownership you have of yourself. You’ve not only done a ton of research but you’ve asked yourself some serious and tough questions. You’re more inspiring than I think you know Bea!
Thank you so much for this video and all the research you have done. This has helped me be so much more informed to help out some people in my life who have been talking about these drugs and I didn't know enough to properly discuss it with them.
Love your channel been here since the beginning. ❤❤I’ve been on OZ for 9 months & have lost 50lbs. It’s changed my life for the better in a million ways, but I also had to change and take the accountability for myself. I’ve learned to use it as a tool not a crutch. My blood work has never been so good. My husband who also struggles saw the positive results and has also started the medication. So for us it’s been a family lifestyle change and that’s why I think it’s beneficial. As someone who struggled my whole life with depression, anxiety, and extreme food noise I will say I’m not sure if I will stay on it for life…but at this point with minimal side effects I don’t see a reason not to. I think everyone has options and doing whatever is you feel is best is always the right choice! ❤❤
Hey Bea! I've been on Wegovy since Feb 2023. It has been a gamechanger for me who has PCOS!!! I've only lost about 35 lbs, but my goal has been slow and steady and to address my insulin resistance (which is common with PCOS check out the HOMA-IR scale to test if you have it!) You can always try it and stop it if it has too many side effects- but as long as you follow the loading dosage guide its not bad, alot of people also get a Zofran prescription to take the day of to help with nausea. Which is dependent person to person. Ive always had stomach issues as well so I was hesitant, but as long as i avoid oily foods day of the injection the nausea is minimum. I also plan to stop once I lose another 30 lbs and go onto a medication like Metformin to help with my insulin resistance. And like you said, even people who lose the weight "naturally," a huge percentage gain it back. Thats why we need there to be more of a focus as to what causes the weight gain and treating that. For those with PCOS it has to do with our cortisol, stress, and for some insulin resistance. The lack of food noise is AMAZING. Its so nice to not constantly be thinking about food. I do still get hungry! And eat well! But im satisfied after eating a normal portion rather than thinking about what im going to eat later. Just thought Id share my experience! There is ALOT of negative conversation about these drugs, so its easy to spiral. Whereas the majority of people have a positive experience. Its always good to try something for yourself and see how it effects you.
Beatrice, I think you're an amazing person. I don't understand people who feel compelled to leave critical or ugly comments. Just remember -- it says more about them and their issues. I only want you to lose weight because it's what you want, but that's not why I watch your channel. I had a vertical sleeve gastrectomy in 2015. It changed my life and worked the same as these drugs, in that it took away the food noise. It changed my brain more than my stomach. I lost all my excess weight and, with work, I've kept it off. It's really a simple surgery.
I take rybelsus. lost 50lb so far I've been fat all my life..I have under active thyroid and diabetes, because of the wight. I'm so far down to 199llbs. First time since I was 15yrs old. I tried every diet nothing worked. Good luck. I feel better
Thank you for all the information. I love your channel because you share such real aspects of life. I really appreciate your vulnerability. It always makes me happy to see a new video from you, whatever the topic.🌟💕
I love your channel Bea!!! ❤ I've been following since the early days. I love how you try different things and have shared them with us. Both successes and failures.
I agree with you Bea. To have a bigger chance at keeping the weight loss we must do it the only way that has proven to give the long term results. Diet and exercise.
Dairy, meat, eggs and minimal veggies are taking away my cravings. Eventually I will do all carnivore but for now I eat all the meat I want until full, it works and heals. Struggled all my life like Bea.
I love your videos and your realness. I always love to hear your story and point of view on topics and anything In general. I feel like you’re super smart and knowledgeable and people can really learn from you and your creative personality. You are an inspiration in many different way not just weight loss.
I just love your content. You are inspiring to those of us that have similar issues. I don't think your channel is dying. You are such a great person with a heart of gold. You can do whatever you put your mind to. LOVE AND HUGS!!
Hahaha funny timing! I just did my first Oz injection last night. So far no side effects. It's 3 pm and I'm starting to get hungry for the first time today.
Registered Dietitian here... Anytime someone loses weight rapidly, they are more likely to lose more muscle. That is why incorporating strength training and healthy eating habits (getting adequate protein, complex carbs) while losing weight is so important. Having seen so many patients struggle with obesity and the inability to lose weight, having these new weight loss medications available as a tool is AMAZING. People are finally able to lose significant amounts of weight, and its giving them the boost they need to be more active, eat better, because they FEEL better. Their risk for obesity related diseases Bee mentioned are dramatically reduced. Each person needs to talk to their health care professional and discuss the risk/rewards and make the best decision for themselves like Bee has.
But the problem is taking it the rest of your life because if you have to stop using the medication for some reason the food noise is back and you never learned how to deal with your eating issue or the food noise 🤨. They may not gain all the weight back but still a pretty substantial amount no matter how active you become because we know exercise is really not part of weight loss it’s calories in calories out 🤷♀️
Its also crazy how opinionated people are about these medications specifically. I dont see the same types of negative comments left on peoples videos who talk about using medications to treat literally any other type of chronic disease like heart disease, kidney disease or cancer.
As an RD I think you know that a lot of disease is caused by poor choice of food/poor eating habits. A clinical instructor once told me “the issue (food) isn’t the issue”. There’s usually a much deeper issue than just loving food. And taking pharmaceuticals for these chronic diseases may look like it’s helping but once a person stops taking those pills they’re back to where they started. How about healing through healthy, plant based food and exercise? A professor at UC Davis, who is studying eating disorders and food addiction said it best…”Better living through chemistry still requires better living.”
Good for you, Bea…very well thought out process and decision. You will figure it all out, gaining more and more from your experiences, successes, and set-backs. Learning curves can be extremely frustrating and difficult - and slow - but you’re going to figure it all out.
Honestly finding your channel has been the most relatable. Your channel brings a sense of two friends getting together to catch up and being open with one another. When you have struggled with weight issues since childhood no one gets it, but you do. I def have gained all the weight I worked so hard to lose and it makes me so upset. Bc I know I can do it, it kills me but you give me hope.
I’ve lost 60 pounds on Mounjaro. I call it the miracle drug. YES! It does help with anxiety. I actually don’t need meds for my anxiety anymore. The side effects outweigh the affects of obesity. Girl. I’m telling you it’s life changing. I no longer think about food. I feel the best I have in years. Good luck to you on your journey!
Bea.. you feel like my BFF and I'm all the way in the Caribbean 🇹🇹 I initially started watching your Chanel for weightloss as I am plus-sized and have been trying to lose weight.. I watch your videos religiously. I can't wait to see what you post, your pets, family, projects and personality.. your journey is very authentic and relatable. You make me feel like I shouldn't be to hard on myself bc I'm not alone with the everyday struggles.. please keep your Chanel going..it doesn't have to be a weightloss Chanel. Life with Bea ❤
Thank you for being so real and open about this Bea. Your channel means a lot to me, you've helped me learn a lot about weight loss and about PCOS. I have PCOS too and I never realized until you spoke about it and it's changed my life. I think your journey, regardless of how long it takes, is unique and authentic. Negative things happen in life, it's okay. It's the fact that you keep making videos and trying, that matters. You are an inspiration and a motivator for me. Thank you. I will always be your fan. (Just wanted to say i love videos about your house and life too! Always so fun to watch!)
Absolutely, it is a miracle and I was put on it for pre diabetes almost 2 years ago! Lost 137 lbs and feel like my body finally processes food properly! I have changed NOTHING ELSE because like you I did eat pretty darn well…. To zero avail so yes ma’am do it now!!!!
I've said this before. I watch you because you inspire me to get my shit together. You are so real and your accomplishments are amazing especially with what you deal with, anxiety, pcos, add, etc.
I hate that you said, "this channel is dying." I hope not! I've been following you for years and you feel like a friend. Please keep going, we love you.
Omg, I know!! I had the exact same thought. 🥺❤️
Same! I meant to say that, so Im glad that you did! 🫶
I agree!! I watch religiously every week. Please do not leave!
It made me panic a bit
We love you ❤
Truth be told I am not here for the weight loss content … not that I mind it, I appreciate that too but my main reason for staying is your personality, your little ventures into art and design basically all the quirky stuff that makes you. You are a good person who is creative and intelligent and it is clearly apparent even through the screen. ❤
Same💛
Same, Bea reminds me a lot of my sister and it is fun to be around her and Bea is fun to listen to as well.
Same here
This is such a beautiful comment. I agree.
Exactly!!!
I came here for the weight loss and stayed for the art, chickens, and homestead lol
Channel def not dying. It is becoming refined by people who truly are interested in your well being and vested interests your ultimate success.
Here’s the best part - you get to define that success. You and only you.
To say that you never complete things that you start is a lie.
You have completed way more than not! And that is a fact.
❤
This!!!❤❤❤
True ❤
Hey, kudos on your one year binge free. One day at a time.
Absolutely, that is a fantastic result! More important than weight loss in my opinion. To be honest, I watch you more for your personality and your projects anyway!
You have grown your channel faster than many, many CZcamsrs who post 3 times a week for triple the number of years you have been on…
Your community isn’t just here for your weight loss journey.
Yes, that is so much progress!!
That is amazing, Bea!
I just think your journey is super real with trying to lose weight! I don't necessarily see it as a fail but more of a quest for a healthy lifestyle 😁
Aww I really love that! A quest for a healthy lifestyle. I'm going to think of it that way for myself going forward ❤
@@silentnot4812 lol whatever
Most of us have been where you are at. It took me until I turned 59 to figure out what works for me. I am now 63 and 270 pounds lighter. Never give up.
That is amazing! Well done 💪
Great job!!
@@tweetypigen thank you!
@@verucabeckwith3014 thank you!
Wow! Good for you.
clicked on this like i am paid to be here
😂😂😂😂
Yes!
Exactly! ❤
👏 😂❤ Best comment yet!! ❤😂 👏
THIS👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I love your videos whether you lose weight or not. 🦕🦖
Yess!!🧡🧡🧡
Just dropping a comment, because I adore you. On paper we have nothing in common. I’m 61, married and have been at the same weight most of my adult life. Don’t really know how you came up on my feed, but I watched one vid and subscribed. Always love seeing a new vid from you. You’re charming, have a great laugh, and have too many animals. What’s not to love? Also, your vulnerability and honesty are so refreshing. Sending you a giant hug from the east coast.
just needed to quickly stop the video and congratulate you on beeing 1 year binge free. Well done
@@melissas4874 she’s on medication for that…
@@melissas4874 I'd say having something to focus on and distract you / take your mind of food, is a help not a hindrance.
100% this!
This is me! I love her art and shenanigans!
Awesome!
I am on it too and doing amazing. 2st done ✔️
This channel is still my absolute favorite, even all these years later! Please dont give up on us!
I know you know this somewhere-you are far from a piece of shit. You're an amazing human being who is honest about her life and struggles, and we're right there with you. You're never looking for sympathy or views - you're just being you, flaws and all, and we love you for it. Keep going!
The med has been around for years. Med for life. Yes maybe. Some will. It has reversed my pcos insulin resistance. Improved my pre diabetes.
“ I still have a reduction of food noise, which is such a freeing feeling that I honestly don’t care if I need to take a shot every week or month.”
Couldn’t agree more!
Thank you for sharing your views, it did feel like a chat between friends and I appreciate your transparency so much!
I never really heard of food noise but for real I get that!! Food noise!
Yes! Ditto to the magnesium and zinc. I was deficient in both of these and they have helped so many pcos symptoms! Definitely worth looking into
I can't believe people were making comments when you did your 30 days notice sugar.
I'm on Mounjaro and it is amazing. I use it for my A1C but the extra benefits have changed my life. I'm glad your friend is having success on it too.
Me too! ❤

Your breaking down and explaining of everything is so refreshing, it’s like listening to my brain out loud.
❤ Good luck
make sure to do some weight training if you aren't already as a lot of the weight loss comes from muscle loss, wishing you the best of luck
Same here, also a PCOS girl on Ozempic
The weight loss is slower for sure, I’ve seen people lose massive weight with this drug, but I’ve been losing around 5 lbs per month on it and I’m happy with that! Already down 25 lbs in the past couple weeks!
For me, the insulin resistance from PCOS and prediabetes was causing rapid weight gain. I also couldn’t stop thinking about food until trying Ozempic. The nausea is horrible though 😅
I’ve already seen signs of my insulin resistance improving (better A1c, no more hyperpigmentation on my neck or underarms, etc).
And I have no more cravings for sugary foods or fast food, which is a game changer for me!
Coupled with cardio and strength training, I think it’s a great weight loss option for obese people, and especially obese women with PCOS
Wishing the best of luck to Bea too!
@@patrick7mary One of the Carnivore doctors mentioned treating EDisorders with Carnivore. I think she would do great on Carnivore too.
This video felt like a face to face chat with a friend. Thank you for being so open and honest.
You got this 💚💚💚
How rare or common is that side effect tho?
@@LizzieEstelle it's not super common, and diabetes itself is one of the most common reasons for gastroparesis in the first place. I think ozempic is getting a lot of smoke for something it may not even be causing 😂
It's so dangerous and doesn't even work
You can have cancer literally
The way you logistically approach this, research, and weigh pros and cons is always so interesting to listen to and process along with you!
You are so wholesome and real. I love that you are honest and focus on getting healthier mind, body and soul.
Love your hair! Looking good!
I try, I fail, I try, I fail…
Like an ant climbing stairs, I make progress and then hit a wall before having to climb hard before making a bit of progress again. It’s bloody exhausting!!
You’re honest and real and I’ve loved watching you grow in confidence over the years. I’m here for the long haul. 🤛🏻
In fact, I’m going to listen to all of your videos from day 1 while I do a bit of gardening.
Thank you for your honesty!
Appreciate how thoughtful this video is on both sides of the argument
Anyone else check youtube everyday for a new video? Just me...well you are my favorite ever. I am on a compounded version and the weight loss is very slow for me but the benefits of the lessened food noise and adhd relationship with food is significant. I don't have many side affects, mostly increased occasionally heart burn. I wonder if that is because I am also doing a weekly B12 shot.
I love you Bea!!!
I watch your channel because I enjoy your personality. Originally I started watching you when I started my weight loss journey but I’ve grown to love what your content has turned into
I love this video, so honest and you considered all pros and cons...amazing to see your thought process ❤
I always look forward to your posts, your honesty, your sense of humor etc lift my day.!
Good call! You did your research, and you have great reasons for the choice you made. All the best for you and your health going forward.😊❤😊
You’re amazing and that isn’t defined by how much you’ve lost/haven’t of your weight it’s because seeing you take care of yourself and being the best you can and try to better yourself as well as having some fun on the way ☺️
Thank you for being so honest, candid and real. I've watched your content since the start so please don't stop. Keep on being amazing!
Always so good to see you! Thanks for the comprehensive information and your take on these weight loss drugs.❤❤❤
Hi Bea! You really did your research on these medications! Thank you for sharing and talking about this topic! 👍💕
I take rybelsus. lost 50lb so far I've been fat all my life..I have under active thyroid and diabetes, because of the wight. I'm so far down to 199llbs. First time since I was 15yrs old. I tried every diet nothing worked. Good luck. I feel better
if people would think you are rubbish they would not watch you , you are a great girl !
Except people lose weight on diet and exercise and gain it back. There's nothing that has a lot of long term success.
Also injectable weight loss medication doesn’t make you lose weight in absence of good diet and exercise, that’s a complete myth from the media
and unless you take this drug for the rest of your life, you will gain the weight back not to mention all the horrific issues that come with the drug
Diet and exercise actually doesn’t work for many people in the long term. There are many more factors than just calories in and calories out.
Dairy, meat, eggs and minimal veggies are taking away my cravings. Eventually I will do all carnivore but for now I eat all the meat I want until full, it works and heals. Struggled all my life like Bea.
Yay, a video! My soul dies a little when I haven't seen you in a while.
Good luck! 😊
I lost my hungry and full feelings 7 years ago, caused a 6 kg weight gain.
This is true. Work out with weights!!! That’s what I’ve done, and so I’m not having the sagging skin mess.
Just another black box poison
Interesting because for me it increases my anxiety!
You have no idea how fast i clicked to find out what is up lmao❤
Bea.. you feel like my BFF and I'm all the way in the Caribbean 🇹🇹 I initially started watching your Chanel for weightloss as I am plus-sized and have been trying to lose weight..
They used to just let us buy dexadrine over the counter. Why cant i just have that again? 😅
So glad to hear your take on these medicines ❤❤ Thank you
