Thank you for reminding us all brother Chad, that terrible grief and sorrow is inevitable, and that no matter how strong we are we will be reduced to helplessness for a moment, days or years. You help us recognize the universal truth of psalm 142 so that we may prepare for grief so deep that the most sincere condolences of those who love us cannot be enough, but only crying out to God to deliver us again to a state in which we can help ourselves and others.
So she called Adonai who was speaking to her, “You are the God who sees me.” For she said, “Would I have gone here indeed looking for Him who looks after me?” Genesis 16:13 TLV Nathanael said to Him, “How do you know me?” Yeshua answered, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.” John 1:48 TLV If I have learned nothing over the last 4 years, it is this --- in my darkest hours, feeling the darkest side of my soul, I cry out in a loud voice, "Adonai El Roi, do you see me in my sorrow?" I pray that I never forget to always cry out to the one living God to rescue me from the pits of sorrow. Those 3 words are a short prayer that will hasten Jesus to our side with two arms of comfort and reassurance. We must always seek the wisdom & knowledge of God as the solution when we find ourselves in depths of. hopelessness.
