OMG the way you explain it is amazing. Specially, with someone with dyslexia that makes my job so hard you just made it so easy explain it. Thank you.
You are so clear and audible. So clear and not too fast not too slow. Perfect. Thanks, so helpful
This is by far one of the best explained videos on troubleshooting compressors posted period! What a great reference. Thanks so much.
Blessed to have you making videos man. You have been an incredible resource for me learning this trade.
Super helpful video ....and its easy to understand when we know what to look for and what not to look for ...thanks a lot
You made your explanation clear and simple.
I’m ballin like an athlete but got no Jumpa! Jumper man tech back at it again good shit bro
Lmaoooo thank you bro! Stay safe out there & stay tuned for new videos every week🔧
Nice job explaining this. Makes sense that run to start would equal two common to run and start since resistors in series are equal to the total.
Your videos are so valuable it's crazy....I just started in the industry and I have been learning so much from your videos... thank you very much for your time and work
It good
Thanks for that great explanation
Very clear instructions. Thanks. Allow me a little comment, the running coil should be of higher ohm(thin wiring). Starting coil is thicker wiring and thus, lower ohms.
Greatest video on the subject matter.
Great explanation.
Outstanding video - you have great knowledge of the subject and explain it clearly. Thank you
your above and behold. keep it up, your teaching
Excellent video 🎉 Thank you for sharing 🙏🏾
This is a great video for troubleshooting for a compressor to verify if it’s good 👍🏽
My guy!!! Thank you! Appreciate your feedback very much🙏 If anyone is reading this, check out his channel "Refrigeration Confidential" for some great content! Much love🙏✌
Perfectly executed thank you for your knowledge
Excellent video 👍
Great information well put together. Professional video easy to understand.
Supper supper helpful. Thank you very much.
This is good man, for a layman like myself! nice!😎
Great man - keep it going amazing explanations with detail
You are the best at explaining any of this, very clear and concise!! My salute to you bro!
Informative, interesting and helpful video. Great job JMT. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

@@JumpermanTech yo i got a question what do u mean when u say your grounded when checking the restistance of the compressor?

Best. Explanation. Ever. Thanks! So my compressor is good, there are no shorts BUT it is not cooling... What gives if it not the relay then? Too much gas topped up last time? (I noticed the compressor was running very hot). Its a wine fridge so not as complex as a fridge/freezer...
super informative! thanks for sharing
Very easy to follow instructions. Made perfect sense. Thanks, keep up the good work.
Well explained material. Well done job.
Thank you! Much appreciation🙏🙏🙏Stay safe out there & stay tuned for new videos every week🔧
Great explanation
Thankyou gues welcomed
Really good really good thank you
It helped. Thanks a bunch
What is the ohm readings from C - R & C- S do NOT add up to the reading R - S?
Thank you you save me a lot of money
great explanations
Thank you!
good info thanks
Very clear thanks
Thanks a lot, very helpful
Thank you! Stay tuned for new videos every week🔧⚡️
Thanks for sharing
Thank you
Great video but does that meter go to 1 M ohm? Just my understanding u require that scale to do the insulation test?
Common and run show a reading of .6 while the left side show 8.6.
Making a total of 9 Which sounds good.
But is that .6 reading maybe too low indicating a worn out compressor?
Excellent..!!
What is the shell temperature allowed for compressor
Good job brother
Thank you very much bro🙏 Thank you for watching🙂Stay safe out there & stay tuned for new videos every week🔧
Goooooood job man
Nice video
Great video. thanks. If you have a ground short or OL when checking resistance, may the compressor still run or do you only perform these tests if the compressor won't run?
Diffrant reding conunivet showing good runig starting point como n low restisans ok
Hi could you please explain something to me. I have just seen a video where it is stated that a PTC is connected to the compressor and not a BiMetal cut out. Surely it can not be a PTC?
thanks
I have a question, can you have all the winding check out good, but still inside the compressor it can be mechanically brokin inside?
Really enjoyed the video. I have a chest freezer; stopped working, but caught in time to save the food.
Did the resistance check on compressor; all checked good. Overtemp switch, checked good. Relay checked good. I replaced the overtemp switch & relay; still won't work. Could the compressor be stuck? If so, how can I prove that?
Thank you.
Vrey good gueshering gues all best welcomed gues thanyou gor allgues shering gues guied allgues thkyou somuch ..
What if the compressor still had refrigerant charge is there difference in reading?
Nice
What if the leadings are high in resistance when checking windings like cs- 35.6, cr-22, sr59.9
This is good
in other videos it is said the Ohm's between the 3 should be more or less the same, instead of the top 2 = the bottom 2, why is that?
Great video. How about 3phase compressor? Thanks
Thank you very much! I made a video on 3 phase compressors too👍 Heres a link🙂
czcams.com/video/1ja1GkLWrwc/video.html
Thanks bro I did that on my R600 c/s give me 2 and the c/m give 2 and with the conclusion of the s/m gives 4 it’s a good compressor 😢
YOU JUST SAVE ME $2k.THANKS
What causes running winding to read higher resistance than star winding
Does it make any sense that my windings ohm out correctly but are shorted to ground?
I got compressor changed run cap but was only harm not starting
What if your C to S is the lower than your C to R?
I can't find any videos on MECHANICAL FAILURES of a compressor. I have a compressor that the windings are fine but makes a ugly loud noise at start up and then trips the breaker. Anyone know of a good video to check for mechanical failures?
I have many troubleshooting videos on my channel so subscribe for new videos every week! Sounds like locked rotor on the compressor. Check the compressor specs for LRA. Locked rotor amps. Upon startup, check amps on the compressor and if it's really high and matches the LRA versus the RLA (Running load amps) then you have locked rotor and the compressor needs to be replaced. Before determining that, make sure your start/run capacitors are good. If the caps are good, your compressor is bad and needs to be replaced. If the capacitors are bad, replace them and see what happens. Most likely will solve your issue. Thank me later 😅
So for a Samsung Compressor with the S-C-R scheme, I get readings of S-C 7.2 ohms, C-R 7.5 ohms, R-S 7.2 ohms but none went ground to copper. Is my compressor good or bad? One more note, the compressor- MKV190CL2B is label rated as 240VAC 3 P- Huh? I'm only providing residential from-the-wall 120VAC. How can it work?
It is 3 phase, the 3 phase is created by a pulse width module signal from the inverter control board that converts single phase to 3 phase.
In the Appliance tech world we see more dead inverters dead then compressors on Samsung units.
I'll usually run a sj cord from the vans battery to ground on the door frame into the unit. If I 1890kohmsufs to frame from van it's a working canuuter oscillator
👀👀👀👍🔧✌
Nice video
However when checking for shorts a megommeter should be used.
Thank you! A megohmmeter is definitely the best to use 💯 Need to make use of what you have though. Thanks for watching! Stay tuned for new videos every week🔧

So I’ve checked if I got 1.2 , 3.1 and 3.8 so is the compressor ok ?
I got 2.5 run 3.5 start and 4.8 5 .5 for run + start
Unit ran for 1 second and would shut off . Got 50 amps when lra is 40. Chnaged cap , relay and tried a hard start. She wouldn't go. No high limit no lpco no continuity to ground... how would you finalize diagnostics. It would run when you bump started it as well but didn't seem to have too much power behind it .
Mine is ok I’ve just changed capacitor nothing else and it’s cool now
What is that meaning open and close winding?
Two types of shorts can occur in a compressor motor, a turn-to-turn short within a winding or a winding-to-frame short. The reading obtained between the Run and Common, and the Start and Common pins should be within .5 ohm of each other. If these readings are significantly different, the winding with the significantly lower reading has a turn-to-turn short and the compressor needs to be replaced. Check for a winding-to-the-motor- frame short by taking a reading between each of the pins and the compressor housing. If the meter's LCD displays anything other than an "O.L." during these tests, the compressor is bad and needs to be replaced.
What if the number dont add up ?
That’s what I want to know
I had a compressor, when I connect it directly without the relay and overload it cuts the fuse.
Please what if the value of c-r=20.5, c-s=29.5 and s-r=50.5
means compressor seems good; check for isolation of the 3 pins now
What if S/C is OL
If R/C is OL
if S/R is 16 ohms
