    I don't like the non-removable battery. I consider batteries as consumables.

    • @johnwiedmann4601
      @johnwiedmann4601 Před rokem +5

      The battery is removable, but you have to take off the front fork. So you can replace the battery. I have a BM2 and just love it. I picked up the fenders and rack and pretty much ride it every day in Pittsburgh.

    It's wonderfully stealthy for an ebike. Needs a hidden throttle to be the ? class bike I'm looking for.

    Glad I got it for a steal at the least

    Nice bike and review. We have hills were I am staying but I still love singlespeeds. However when I ride a bike with gears I just pick the gear I like and then forget about shifting.

      @EbikeSchool Před rokem +1

      @@singlespeed2760 No fixed gears kind of freak me out. I need a freewheel in my life. Maybe I could get used to a fixie but I'm just not a fan, personally. Non-fixie single speeds though, I love 'em. I'm never in the wrong gear 🙂

    • @allwheeldrive
      @allwheeldrive Před rokem +1

      As much as I'd like to do that, there's no way where I ride. San Diego is full of hills, and so is place #2, San Francisco. Need more gears for both up and down (I have a Ride1Up LMT'D). No single speed would do the trick. Can't say enough about the belt drive, though. I have a non-e with one, which replaced one I had since 2015. Quiet, strong, nearly zero maintenance, and they last a VERY long time.

    Your rear brake and LCD display cables should be aligned to the left side of the top tube. 1:30 You need to fix this, because it can affect your steering and braking.

  • @allwheeldrive
    @allwheeldrive Před rokem +1

    Paying for looks, here. Nice bike, just tough to justify the value. If it's an occasional ride, all good. But if you ride regularly to do errands, meetings, etc., Another couple of gears, fenders, and lights would be necessary; and that would put this into a differently level of competitors.

    360wh battery and you said the "powerful charger" gets it to full in 3hrs. That doesn't sound too powerful considering the size. I have a 672wh battery and if ran completely dead it takes about 4hrs to charge full. (3amp charger)

  • @cascade5682
    @cascade5682 Před rokem +2

    Non-removable battery makes this bike an abort. For those having to park outside, battery life will be reduced. 18 months down the road might give half the range from new. Cutting open the frame to replace or eliminate the hidden battery is expensive.
    What were they thinking?

    • @richardarita8740
      @richardarita8740 Před rokem +2

      Battery can be replaced by removing the oval covering in front of the headtube and dropping the front fork. I think the replacement battery is about $250. I agree that parking the bike outside to recharge the battery is not ideal.

      Two advantages I can think of:

      @Slashoom Před rokem

      The battery can be removed if it needs service or a repair, but it is not classified as a "removeable battery," as in something you can remove each day and charge. You would have to hook your bike up to the charger.

    *Now* you've got me revisiting the many goofy (to Americans) brand names that bombard us like a broke particle accelerator.
    That said, in bikes there's a long history of goofy. "Penny farthing?" That's two types of money. We could have a Nickel Dime. It's a small hop to Nickelback. Ahem. Yes, halfway through, the Nickelback joke grabbed me by the throat and my goose was cooked.

    The bike is a disappointment. My bike encountered issues while it was still under warranty. Unfortunately, your technician misdiagnosed the problem and sent incorrect parts, which did not resolve the issue. To make matters worse, you refused to rectify the situation, despite promising assistance. I feel let down by your lack of follow-through.
    I regret not only my purchase of the bike but also my investment in FLX, both as a product and as a shareholder.
