You're joking right selling your land and leaving?? Based on what I read from history. Isan part of northeastern is used to be Laos until the French pulled and divided the country right in the middle of Mekong River

Definitely not leaving Laos, just doing some exploring of the Isaan area. Thanks for watching!

Isan was part of lanxang not Laos. There were no Laos back then... Until siam lost to the french!

    safe travel and enjoy Thailand😊

I like your country property. More elbow room and privacy plus you have all that land and pond for food making your situation self sustaining and more so when you add solar. Looking forward to hearing about your next trip.

You should save it. You own it. You can always go back and live on your land when you retired. Other places are getting more expensive now. As demand grows in Laos, the prices will increase.

Welcome to Thailand!! Issan is very similar to Laos in terms of food and local language, you will feel like home…

You should save your land for the future. You're planning to explore Isan, but Who know maybe you don't like Isan and you can always come back home.

wow, that is a lot of projects. i hope you have people helping you with that. i would rather retire in Thailand if i can find a land and if it is affordable. Laos is nice but it is not convenience. As for the land in Laos i would lease it out. I wanted to add, i went to Laos few years back, The heat was so bad I lost 15 lbs. I was there only for 2 weeks. I am from North Texas but that heat and humidity was too much for me. Isann to me is just like Laos but more lively. Anyway, enjoy your Issan trip.

Thanks for your suggestions! Yes, I’ve probably shed about 15lbs in the past year that we moved here…but food is way healthier than American food (in my opinion). Have some good friends in Austin and Houston, and I’ll vouch that the heat/humidity is definitely worse in SE Asia…but a little air condition goes a long way! Thanks for watching!

I think a combination of high heat/more strenuous activity, healthier food options (less processed food), and less overall stress all help contribute…at least in our case!

Sup man? Solar is the way to go now! It's at a price point where you can break even quickly, especially if you do it yourself. Sok dee.
