I was able to make a small mod to the adapters which allowed me to put the "wings" back on the watch to correct the Frankenstein look. Basically, you just ever so gently shave off the "stop bump" on the back of the adapter. I looked for anything and everything to take up the Frankenstein effect space, sorta' like another washer or something - couldn't find or really create anything. So, I did the mod on the adapter - It works great.
yeah, that is understandable. someone sent me a pic once of some conical spacers made of aluminum which they found and fit very well to hide the visible screw shaft when not using the wings

What is the lug size of gg1000 mudmaster? And please specify about the size of jaysandkays are support in that particular mudmaster...
actual lug width is 16mm. the best jaysandkays to use is the jaysandkays metal for 16mm lug which can be used on GG while maintaining the back protectors (a.k.a. wings). see this pic from the IG as an example of GG1000 using jaysandkays metal for 16mm lug:

Take the gw9400 case to the gg1000 frame
It looks like you could still put the wings back on with the adapters and have enough clearance for the strap. Might be tight but can you give it a try and let me know?
Hey Tyler, I did give it a try. Not a good fit. Plus the back covers block the path for the 1 piece to pass through.
10-4 thanks for testing it. I also sent you a question on your discussion board a few day ago but this video answered it. I ended up going with a GW9400 Rangeman and the strap kit you offer on amazon.

hmmm... can put that on the list but don't know when I can get to it. What I presume you need to do is to open the case, pull the module, then pull the eclip holding the button/spring so you can clean everything up of any gunk. Easier said than done, perhaps but skill level required is not too bad... just be methodical and document your disassembly well.
Do you think you would be able to use that 29mm long screw set to hold a para cord band to the mudmaster?

I don't know if the button bump will be in the way. As soon as I can get GWG to my lab, I will check. Maybe a friend of ours here can have a go on their GWG and let us know.

Hey silent, my standard adapters are sized for 24mm straps. My convertible adapters for 5600 are sized for 22mm. Let me know if you need more info and I can provide links.

Just be sure... you are talking about GWG -> GG and not the other way around (?) Either way, the profile of the straps ends are different between GG and GWG because of the button on the GWG. Do not consider them interchangeable.

do you have any options for a nato strap on gwg1000 mudmaster?
GWG1000 introduces a problem with that push button bump. You could use the jaysandkays metal but the problem is that the wings will not fit properly and so you'd leave those off. This also results in the strap screws poking out in what I call 'frankenstein' look. I could kit something up with replacement screwbars to remove the unsightly screw situation but that won't resolve the exposed cavity on bezel end. What's the right tool to get the screws out?
Hey Miguel. I used an allen/hex bit from my chapman set instead of my cheap allen wrenches. unfortunately the hex on these Casio screws is a little rounded on the inside so it is easy for the hex wrench to slip. rounded/ball end hex wrenches do not work well... use ones that do not have ball ends as your first choice, IMO
