The action pod doesn't have a replaceable battery right? So what would be the point of getting the 128GB version when the camera won't live long enough to record 128GB worth of video? In your battery test you got 132 minutes. I don't think that is long enough for 1 full day of heavy use.

For everyone knowledge about horizon level + video rotation, the go3s crops the video a lot using freeframe and 360 Horizon lock view, shame, the Go2 had better Horizon lock and wider angle of view, also you can't rotate the video on freeframe. In the Go2 you can add keyframes, rotate video for a barrel efect and lock Horizon while switching from filming horizontal to vertical, not anymore on insta go 3s.
Didn’t get the go3 cuz of the footage but this looks great! Been waiting for it! Now I wanna see it compared to the dji pocket 3
Interesting, but I wish it used USB3 standard for transfers. Higher bitrate, higher resolution, even 128GB won’t be enough for 2-3 week vacations, especially when you don’t have time to edit in the evening, and at some point you just have to offload this footage somewhere. The port might be USB-C shaped, but is still just a USB2 data transfer speed.
what's the sensor size? in free form mode what is the highest resolution export settings? and does it overheat?
I think 1/2.3. Export is 4K and like the GO 3, overheating is not an issue
Please can the reader also work with x4 sd card to quickly transfer files from x4 sd to phone?

Is there a big difference in quality between standard video and freeform video? I know they're both 4x but surely there must be a quality reduction on freeform mode?
Normal video is slightly better than Free Frame in 4K, but free frame have the versatility tho 👍
Cant decide if I should get the g03 or go3s. Sent mine back for warranty - so they giving me the go3s 64 for 260usd... Or just get the go3s....

To the sd card yes, otherwise u can plug it to phone/tab/pc and download that way

I think its the same. Unfortunately these are all sponsored videos. Gotta wait until non sponsored youtubers review it, then the truth comes out. I barely see any cons from all the videos ive watched so far
I cant say for sure as i haven’t done that test yet, just finished this one. But i will have my comparison soon👍
As for the GO 3, i had about the same, a few min more with the Pod and about 5 min with the unit itself if im not mistaken.
GO 3S will have less, because of the 4K, more features etc etc, but like i said. Test is coming👍
I just found out in their website. The battery life is 140 minutes. 30 minutes less than the original go 3. Make sense considering it has more power. I still prefer more battery life tho. Low light and battery life are my 2 biggest factor in upgrading it
@@Imcuriousman I think if you used the 2.7k 30 fps it would be the same as the regular go 3, this test compares 2.7K go 3 to 4K go 3S

Already done it, it charges and thats it. U cant use it to control or record

Nope, it will only charge the GO 3S and you won´t be able to preview or do any changes

Maybe, but as of now you can´t unless there´s a secret firmware which i don´t have
Major issue, does it have horizon lock while filming in 4K? The 3 only has horizon lock when filming in 1440 but not while filming in 2k. Because of that I never use the 2k on my 3. Horizon lock is one of the main reasons why I bought it. So what it’s important is the ability to record in 4K at 60 with horizon lock. I hope insta360 is reading these comments!
It has horizon lock, horizon steady and all other aspects in Free Frame as well, in 4K up to 30fps

11:08 Think your maths went a bit wonky there; 128gb =3hrs, 64gb =30min? I'd say it would be closer to 1:30 (maybe a bit less as I know some of the storage is used for OS stuff).

@@RobHK Definitely say half an hour. I'm guessing maybe you sort of got "one and half hours" and "half of that" (as in half of the 3 hours of the bigger version) sort go conflated.

Too bad you can't compare the battery of the Go3 directly side by side with that of the GO3S, maybe the differences aren't as visible, and as sponsored by Insta360, of course you have to sell the "new" product put up to date, sold at full price for a software update...
Low light videos are not in the same location, Go3 in a dark street, GO3S in an environment with lots of light, obviously it looks better like that... You could have both cameras side by side on your shirt with two pendants, but, again, maybe the differences weren't enough for Insta360 to sell its update...
The good point of this GO3S is that from now on the GO3 will drop in price, before being abandoned by Insta360 (if this has not been the case for months already)

I think insta360 GO3 is more like Go2.5 ,but GO 3s is real upgrade from Go2 .
